The guy wrote Trying your Luck, Hard to Explain, YOLO, I'll Try Anything Once, Razorblade, The Adults are Talking... and so many other songs for other projects like Instant Crush, Human Sadness, all of them have his mark of a great songwriter . I think he's the greatest songwriter of his generation, his songs mean a lot and will age very well. What do you think?
Like vocally? Yeah she can sing but sheβs not a powerhouse. Sheβs no BeyoncΓ©. Or even Miley.
But her songwriting? Honest to God I feel like sheβs a poet. When I first heard ivy, that solidified this thought for me. The use of metaphors in place of literal lyrics in it really just made me realize how much of a poet she is.
The fact sheβs never won SOTY is a mystery to me. Especially when cardigan was nominated last year.

Why the Queen Of Hearts? Because my life has been about championing my heart- and advocating for the heart of others.
Performing on the Masked Singer was fun for me, because it allowed me to pay homage to songs that inspired me to be a songwriter and a singer in the first place, like La Vie En Rose and Sheβs Got You. Those have long been favorites, and being able to pour myself into these heroic songs to challenge myself vocally was really wonderful. I worked hard on all the arrangements and fell in love with each song.
It was also fun because I was able to pull from all genres and all eras, which a person rarely gets to do. That is why I was inspired to release all the songs I chose
Iβd love to help people out with their Fiverr career!

I have only listened to a few songs by Bob Dylan, and they are okay. I wouldn't put them on of my own accord, but if they come on, I'll leave them on. Why is he considered to be on the greatest, if not the greatest, songwriter in modern music history? Is it lyrics? Song structure? I just don't understand what makes people come to this conclusion, but would like to learn more. I love being able to have a new and different appreciation for music and its history.
Let's get this out of the way: Bob Dylan was a legendary songwriter and his lyrics captured an age. The man is larger than life, hands down.
However, I do not understand how Dylan rose to popularity doing his own vocals as opposed to being a songwriter only. Most of his "singing" is just talking, and in such a weird voice that I can't understand how people can listen with a straight face. The vocals in "Tangled Up in Blue" particularly highlight my point--he has trouble reaching notes, speaks or even straight out yells some of the lyrics, and his voice cracks multiple times. "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" is another good example. When he gets to the words "All Right," "gal," "soul," or "anyway," he's just speaking them--the notes are too low for his vocal range. At several points in "Too Late" he sounds like Cartman from South Park.
Contrast Dylan's "Forever Young" from the Planet Waves album with Rod Stewart's version from his Out of Order album or Audra Mae's more recent version. The tone of the vocals of the latter two bring out the notes and help the song shine. You just don't get that with Dylan's halting vocals.
Was Dylan just such a great writer that people forgave his lack of vocal talent? Or is it a distinctive "style" like Tom Waits that I just don't happen to get but others like it? Genuinely curious.
I know a Little Help From My Friends was written by the duo and βgivenβ to Ringo but was wondering if they ever did this amongst themselves.
Hey everyone,
Im a very lyric-driven person and so I tend to enjoy music with strong lyrics written by the performers itself (you just feel the passion in the singing when the person wrote the lyrics).
Right now, Im in a need to have new music, I have 2000 songs in my main playlist and Im honestly exhausted from listening to most of them already.
So, who are some good singer-songwriters that you would recommend?
Thank you!
Iβve been big into singer-songwriters recently and am searching for some new listens, however keep coming across the same names.
One songwriter that I personally love, who doesnβt seem to get his due his Ryan Montbleau - if youβre familiar with him you know how poetic, thoughtful and even funny he can be.
