A list of puns related to "Zephyr"
So the sword comes with the perk Cold Steel: Powered Sword hits slow targets.
Generally, the amount of slow applied is enough to freeze an enemy in 3 light hits. I believe it was Aztecross that pointed out how this can make stasis shard on kills with hunter, making it good for ad clear. However, Warlocks' Glacial Harvest creates stasis shards whenever you freeze an enemy, creating more shards for bosses and other high-tier enemies. And while I think there might be a cool down, I don't know if it's significant enough to affect this build greatly.
So let's start there. If we use Zephyr on a boss, freezing them roughly every 3rd or 4th hit (might take an extra swing if they get out slower), you are getting stasis shards consistently, so why not slap on Whisper of Rime for an overshield that's repaired by said shards?
Now, let's take the Elemental Shards armor mod: Stasis Shards count as Stasis Elemental Wells. Now we can put on Font of might for a 25% boost to damage. Slap on Elemetal Charge and Lucent Blade for another 35% damage boost. Since the 2 damage boosts are multiplicative, the two of them together come out to an approximately 69% damage buff to your sword.
Combined with the fact that this season we have access to Passive Guard, Overload Sword, and a reduced cost sword scavenger mod, this seems pretty good. Maybe not Gjallarhorn good or fusion rifle/particle good, but good nonetheless.
TL;DR
While doing sustained DPS on a boss with your sword, you take reduced damage, gain an overshield that heals as you do damage, and get a 69% damage buff to your sword.
Not sure if this was found yet, and thought people might find it to be a fun fact:
Zephyr at 0 ammo will count as a charged stasis melee every time you swing it, so if you manage to kill a wee addy, youβll generate a stasis crystal and an orb every time if you use thermoclastic blooming :D
(Tested with guillotine as well and it doesnβt work, so itβs because zephyr is a stasis type)
Gβday guardians, last month I had an overwhelmingly positive response for a thread I made about a Subsistence Comedian + No Backup Plans build being incredibly good (and fun) on Titan - I was super humbled by the 625+ upvotes, so thanks so much for that guardians. For this fantastic community, I wanted to give back ('tis the season for it) with an insanely fun loadout with the newly re-issued Zephyr.

There are two really good ways to optimize your gameplay when using this sword, but of course, you can use the sword however you like and just hack and slash everything but the reason that there is so much hype around this re-issued zephyr is the fact that itβs rolling with a brand-new perk, cold steel. Now, the perk says that powered sword hits will slow targets but it is slowing targets with light attacks too, but the beauty with this sword is that even though itβs not in the description itβs actually freezing targets after about three light attacks, this becomes a huge game changer in terms of how it can synergise with different subclasses. So the first really good way to optimise this sword is by running Focusing Lens, one of the seasonal artifact mods, and pairing it with a light subclass that deals damage because any of your light abilities will be buffed through this mod, if an enemy is affected by stasis. Some great synergies that I can think of off the top of my head here would be a thundercrash crash or a roaring flames build for titans, a chaos reach one for warlocks, and something like a buffed star eaters scale super for hunters.
But I digress, we arenβt looking at this form of optimization today, weβre looking into the other side of the coin and diving into the stasis subclass synergy that pairs insanely well with this sword. At this stage in the games life, we have plenty of different stasis fragments and aspects across all three characters, so I want to show you how to make a really effortless, high damage, Warlock build with the Zephyr.
Mantle of Battle Harmony is an absolute no brainer to pair with Zephyr because when our Super energy is full, we get a really generous 35% damage buff to weapons of the same subclass. Basically meaning, when our super is ready to pop, we wonβt use it, and instead, weβll get a damage buff on our Zephyr instead. This is fine because the s
