A list of puns related to "Video Hosting Service"
I am looking to host Podcast or/and maybe videos too but it has to be in Canada. I did a lot of digging without much success, would really appreciate any help here.
I want to run something similar to udemy locally. I'd like to host tutorial videos organised into courses at my workplace.
Does someone know if this already exists so I could use?

Hello, I'm currently trying to budget for a project in which we expect some thousand users to need to download 5-10GB of video files to a mobile device 3-4 times a year.
I don't need video streaming, just download, so any file storage will work.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm having a hard time finding any reasonable hosts for this. So far the best I've found is Azure Media Services, but they seem to only do streaming.
Any help is appreciated, even if it's just to point me to a more appropriate subreddit for the question.
Searching for bitcoin mining investment but hard to find hardware and hosting service? I suggest a new DAO named MetaMine.

I have many gigs of personal family videos I'd like to share with the extended family, behind a simple login window. AAD is fine or a simple proxy with shared login is fine too.
I set up a Media Services resource and sent some videos too it, it automatically encoded the videos to several formats and works well enough, if a bit expensive. There's no live streaming or anything but I assume a wide array of devices will be watching these videos.
I'm wondering if this is a good use case for media services, or if I should just use a storage account and proxy from a login webapp to the private files. I suppose I'd be on my own for encoding to various formats, though.
I have Azure credits to burn for this experiment, so I'm looking for ideas on how to have a nice video hosting setup for my family. I want to avoid public services such as youtube.
I appreciate any ideas. Thanks!
If one were to set up a website for streaming a dj set with copyrighted music, what are the implications of using a web hosting service to host said website? Would the server provider crack down on the website for copyright, or would it probably go under their radar?
The site would be for one stream only, not a streaming service for several streams.
I work on the marketing team for a private arts college and we've been producing a podcast. We've published the first few episodes and they're listed on the apple podcast app, etc.
I'm not a huge podcast listener myself, so was surprised to learn recently that there are video podcasts available in the apple podcasts app. We have shot video for all of our episodes as well, but unfortunately the hosting service we chose, Buzzsprout, doesn't seem to support adding the video to the RSS feed. So, I have 2 questions:
Does anyone know of a great hosting service for podcasters that have video they'd like to submit to the Apple podcast app?
What would the process of migrating our podcast from Buzzsprout to a video-enabled service look like? Would it cause our episodes to be taken off the directories for any amount of time?
Any and all advice is GREATLY appreciated - thank you!
With YouTube getting more and more annoying is there an alternative provider to host videos on your homepage that shares add revenue with you? Could something like this be decentralized were people offer server capacity, a second party finds suitable adds, a third party (the users) provide content and a fourth party for finding videos for the user with configurable and transparent algorithm? So in the end you have a real market and not a monopoly?
I couldn't find any real information or reviews on Jetpacks Unlimited Video Hosting service on the premium package. Even information on their site seems to be limited. Simply curious if it's better to use their service or pay for Video Plus. Sure they claim 'unlimited' on jetpack, but is it truly UNLIMITED uploads per week and storage? Is their analytic system any good? Do I have to upload the videos directly through wordpress.com or can I upload them from my self hosted WordPress installation?
Hey guys! Really need your help on this one.

I wanted to create a page on my website where I could allow people to download stock footage I have captured for free. I wanted people to be able to preview all of the clips, and download them all with one click and have more clips be added each month.
To do this I decided the easiest way would be to host the videos on Dropbox and have the videos be embedded in a new post each month. However, I think I am finding that the processing requirements to have all these videos loading on a single page is quite troublesome. (Please try using the webpage yourselves and see if you have any trouble loading it).
It appears Dropbox is loading the full resolution video in each embed which requires a lot of computing power to try and load.
I can't think of any other solutions where I could easily embed the videos and also have a download link for the videos.
If anyone is familiar with wordpress or the elementor plug-in and has a solution please let me know!
Thank you so much.
Hi all,
I'm working with a new company and need to use a review service like Wipster or Frame.io but I'm wondering if there is anything I can host internally on a VM and have it connected to our storage server.
I wouldn't expect it to be the same quality as those services but I'd be happy if I can get a video player with timecode based commenting.
If anyone can think of anything I'd really appreciate the help.
Cheers

From a creators standpoint Youtube seems to become a less and less viable source of income unless you are willing to play The algorithm. So a lot of content creators are probably willing to jump ship.
Netflix on the other hand seems to be willing to broaden their palette. Their recent 'experiments' like Bandersnatch and Minecraft Story Mode make it clear, that they want to try new things.
I think they will start 'their own Youtube'. They will probably recruit a handfull well known Youtubers for their site to give it the needed media attention.
I launched GamersTube.com in October of 2006. During the 7 years the site was online I learned a lot about online video, copyright law, online revenue generation, and why it's incredibly difficult to have large sites like YouTube exist. In 2008 my site was used by Curse.com to host the Blizzcon panels, among other honorable mention uses of the website and Wired Magazine put us in their 2009 piece about non-youtube video sites. Today I am a consultant for WrightIMC.com, I do freelance work for awesome companies like GlobalDataVault.com, and I write very sporadically on my terrible blog at JoeYoungblood.com. I'd love to answer questions about the online video world over the past 7 years and the challenges we face moving into the future. Or anything else at all. AMA!

Edit 4: Thanks for all the upvotes. I came back to answer some questions, if you have anymore feel free to give it a go. I'll be checking back for the next few days.
Edit 5: Still here off and on, I wish someone would ask about why video sites are not making money, that would make me soooo happy.
Hi there!
I'm looking to create a website, but I don't know exactly how best to go about doing it. This website will be for online tutoring and will consist of mainly interactive videos. I plan on having potentially hundreds if not thousands of videos on this site, and I'd need a capacity to have content locked for premium clients, sending feedback by email, dealing with payments etc.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a company I should consider using?
Idea is a small social media website for specific niche where users can upload (max 30 second) videos to my website and is added to a "feed".
I am open to both video hosting cloud services or server software since I do not expect it to be a big website.
I am a total beginner playing around on wordpress so any advice is greatly appreciated.
