A list of puns related to "Venture Capitalists"
This podcast made me realize that as soon as an IPO is brought onto the market, the big money has already been made.
The past week episode was about 2022 predictions, one of which Chamath said p2p web 3.0 payment processing in Africa was going to be a huge win for him. I googled it and found a company Ajua that he seed invested in. There is essentially no way for a retail investor with no access to these private angel investment funds and without millions of dollars to take a gamble and invest to even be exposed to these riskier exponential growth opportunities.
It just further opened my eyes that odds are forever stacked against the retail investor. I think this is also why meme coins/stocks and nftβs have become so popular. Itβs really difficult to gain entry into the big boys club.

We have sharks in the water. Those who oppose unchecked funding are fighting for good reason. I want to make sure everyone is aware. Not everything is as it seems remember that.
This is the reason I want a tighter hold on funds. We need to safe guard against these bad actors. These kind of people profit off us. That is the business they are in. They will manipulate, slander and sell out just to make a profit. Our funds are not safe with them their only interest is the investors.
This is why I fight I want you all to know that. I am for the progress of osmosis we cannot guarantee those making the proposals are that is why we need to criticize. We shouldn't rush into proposals, that is a tactic in social engineering to play off our emotions and nature to please.
We have big money at play here remember that.
Goguen, a billionaire venture capitalist in big tech, kept women for sex in secret houses throughout Nevada and California according to a recent lawsuit filed in Montana. Some of the women stated in the lawsuit brought against Goguen that he would make them strip in various houses bought by his security staff. Four employees of Goguen's also provided statements for the lawsuit, including that one of his businesses had a basement "boom boom" room for women to be sexually assaulted.
Goguen dabbled in tech investment due to his background in electrical engineering in the 1990s. His first wife, who gave him his first (and only children) followed him to California from Massachusetts to help him with his career. They divorced in 1999 and he married his second wife in 2000. In 2014, one of the women Goguen had been sleeping with, exotic dancer / waitress Amber Baptiste, filed a claim against Goguen claiming he had given her HPV. She received $10 million in restitution from Goguen, who was worried she would discuss his many affairs not to his wife, but to his business associates in Montana and California. Baptiste is a problematic figure here because she made the entire thing up - she did not have HPV and Goguen did not give her any STDs.
However, Goguen's nefarious activities at work and beyond have merit. He handed one of his employees $1200 after groping her and giving her alcohol and cocaine. He had her sign an NDA afterwards. His security staff claim that Goguen asked them to purchase residences so women could stirp for Goguen without others knowing. One security enforcer of Goguen claims Goguen asked him to participate in paramilitary expeditions in Mexico related to drug running across the U.S. / Mexico border.

Trying to define Blackberry requires one to re-examine all its main components. Sure, we can glibly say its a IoT cum operating software platform provider for EV's cum cybersecurity provider cum cum cum. Lots of potential but not a real analysis about where revenue will be generated from!
BB has thousands of copyrights some of which are being sold and investors hope for a large cash inflow day. This is recovery of capital and not the source of future revenue.
So lets look at what keeps us glued to each days trading.
CYBERSECURITY: This the first and foremost driver of revenue at this stage. BB's sales efforts compared to competitors have been far from stellar. New appointments at the head of sales plus sales staff might give us a glimpse of the success of new strategies. A 20% quarter on quarter sales growth might show up as around $30 million with the release of financial performance at the end of the month. So optimistically a $120 million in new revenue could make its way to the next full year's accounts.
QNX. The underlying operating software is sold off as OEM and no actual annual subscription is ever disclosed. All we are told is that it is in 200 million vehicles. If the trend continues and 25 million vehicles are added over the next year @ $10 per vehicle, we could see revenue $250 million added. On a comparative basis we might have to pull some figures from the air. As the last year was hampered by shortages of chips and supply chains, lets take half as increased annual income ie $125 million.
BB components generating subscription income. I suppose this was around $250 million last year and seems to be generating good growth this year. 40% growth equals around $100,000 annual increase in revenue.
Summary so far. Total annual revenue looking to grow by $345 million. This equates to a growth in revenue of around 30% for the next financial year. Not bad but not great.
LONG TERM POJECTS. Partnerships on IVY will not be an overnight phenomenon but could be the start of something great. But lets be honest and ask ourselves what IVY will become. The purest view is that it will be the equivalent of Google Store for EV's. And that means having products to sell, outside products! The development will long and ongoing and will require careful stewardship against Google, Microsoft and even Amazon. Being a reseller will generate fairly large commissions, but that's years ahead.
THE IVY FOUNDATION, or Blackberry Venture Capitalist. This should be seen
... keep reading on reddit β‘This is the first of several polls, where I'm trying to get a sense of the current mindset and thoughts of the TIME community about going down the Venture Capitalist route.
9 out of 10 and up to 19 out 20 Venture Capital investments typically fail (and this is with usually experienced VCs). However, given enough time, that one "home run" out of the batch of investments could more than make up for the other 9 or 19 failures.
What are your thoughts? How strongly do you support a move to become a Venture Capitalist Fund, basically a DAO with a VC component?
Note: This poll presumes that VC activities will only be a portion of the planned profit making ventures and that most of the Treasury will still be held in reserves as MIM, AVAX, and TIME. Option #1 is essentially: same plan but add VC investments.
Thanks to User LYLΞ on Discord for pointing out that this poll/post was ambiguous.
Very interesting long read.... To get a better sense of the metaverse, we chatted with a group of Seattle-area venture capitalists to better understand this nebulous technological shift, one that traces its roots back three decades to Seattle sci-fi author Neal Stephenson.
