A list of puns related to "Biotechnology"
I have the option to apply for biotechnology for uni. I wanted to know what job opportunities it'll open up and what the average salary is.
Hi, so Iβm currently in a biotechnology program, and itβs going good itβs my second and I think alright. But I recently gotten my interested in Psychology. And was wondering is there fields in biotechnology that have psychology involved, cause Iβve already had money invested in biotechnology, so I donβt wanna quit on it. But Iβve gotten very interested in psychology
hello I have to make a presentation about a new and interesting application of biotech in any field, so any ideas?
The assumptions are that this is both possible and that sentient pigs would have many similarities to Humans.
My strategy has shifted over the last couple of years of focusing on companies that are platforms for drug development rather than simply drugs. There are platforms that emerge that result in a new wave of treatments with the most impactful (in my opinion) being recombinant DNA in the 80s/90s. The most recent platforms that come to mind are CAR-T, AAVs, CRISPR, mRNA. Would be interested in your thought of some emerging platforms that you see emerging/dominating in the next 5 years?
Anyone knows
1- How much it costs per year?
2- How many years it is?
3- And in which language?
Hi, I'm currently pursuing a bachelor's in biotechnology and I will graduate in 2023. I really want to do masters which will help me work in a medical sector and are also booming right now, what are some of the options I can look at?
Here's to answer my best the questions related to my education and working area.
I was thinking if I could get to talk to people from this field here, since I'm looking to take this field and clear some doubts nd queries
I admit I'm a bit wary to label myself as an antisexual because I think antisexualism (especially religiously-motivated antisexualism) sometimes creates more harm than good and often goes against individual freedoms but I understand your guys frustrations and I agree that the world would be a much better place if everyone voluntarily rejected sex. If only we could convince everyone of this fact...
Anyway, I think the problem with antisexualism lies in two main areas: Procreation and Testosterone.
Antisexualism will never succeed as long as humans still need sex to make babies. Religious groups like the Shakers who enforced universal celibacy didn't do so well and historically relied on adoption to keep up their numbers. The way to fix this is to pursue technologies like stem cell research that turns stem cells into gametes and ectogenesis (artificial wombs).
Secondly, antisexualism will never succeed as long as humans are hooked on testosterone. You can't treat a heroin addict when they have an IV line pumping heroin into their bodies 24/7. Note that this applies to both men and women since women still have about 5-10% of the testosterone levels of men. So while women are far more likely to be the victims in our sex-pervasive world and are far less likely to be addicted to porn, to purchase the services of prostitutes, to rape, or to be sucked into incel culture, they are still not completely unaffected by testosterone.
And it's not just as simple as finding a drug that inhibits testosterone. We already have many of those, and we give them to rapists, to those going through early puberty, and to transgender women. While testosterone is the root of much of society's ills, it is also responsible for keeping our bodies healthy. Remove testosterone and you get negative health effects like hot flushes, gynecomastia, weight gain, loss of bone density, loss of muscle mass, and fatigue. Therefore, serious research needs to be done to replicate the positive effects of testosterone without actually needing testosterone.
I think the antisexual community needs to realize that porn, prostitution, rape, and incels are merely the symptoms of a brain that is under the influence of testosterone. Porn will always exist as long as testosterone exists. Prostitution will always exist as long as testosterone exists. The only way to eliminate sex and the social ills which arise f

This company peform very well today, and this make me curious about their product line.
and BOOM! HSV2 is reflected in my eyes!! the second last one.
hsv2 second last, preclinic stage
I have investigate a little about their leaders, looks like the top 4 board member are all communist.(none of them have medical background) meaning... its maybe also a state control/own company. link :

Since this company located at Changchun, near Harbin and Russia. very cold place..
I heard a lot of rumor about this place used be occupied by Japan military to build up biochemical weapon, maybe CCP are now reuse their facility/location to produce vaccines?
and I also find a long paper work of their old patent request document about HSV2 vaccine.

does someone can understand what they saying?
the request day is 2014.x.x, and approved in 2015.x....god, the goverment is so "efficient" ...
let's also take an eye on this company...

I want to take a course in biotech after my 12th, and from what I know most colleges that offer these courses only accept students based on board exam marks. However, the cutoff percentage is very vague, and I understand that may be partly because the colleges themselves set it once board exams are completed and marks are announced
I assume that there would be a ballpark figure that people could give me, based on previous cutoffs
Half a year ago, I posted a technology checklist that helped me develop my fiction. Something clicked for me and I found myself writing half a novel in the past few months, and embracing my time offline. (I can't recommend this enough.) Now it's a new year, and I'm still excited to work through our ideas together, this time about biotechnology, genetics, and medicine.
It's very easy (and fun) to imagine wild ideas with genetics. A lot of futuristic fiction grapples with the possibility of splicing genes, creating human-animal chimeras, and guiding our collective evolution towards a "post-human" or "trans-human" future. Could we alter our senses, our intelligence, and our bodies to the point where we are effectively a new species?
We have more than genetics to help us transform. A lot of older fiction looks at the power of pharmaceuticals and wonder drugs. Other fiction explores advanced prosthetics, and cybernetics. It all begs the question, how will the human mind change in the future? What will the human body look like? And don't forget that biotechnology has already transformed the way we eat, over thousands of years.
Biology is literally life. That means there are massive consequences for every aspect of our lives: birth, death, family, sexuality, work...
It's not surprising that some fiction just closes this technology off. It's sometimes a creative necessity, so we can make fiction that is still recognizable and relevant to us now. We already have the negative history of "eugenics", and it would be easy to invent a future crisis that would justify more limits on genetic research.
But technology still finds a way. We've banned certain types of genetic experiments. But IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) already produces multiple embryos, and we already screen for which one would be the most "viable". You can imagine this kicking into overdrive if we gain more medical mastery over the process of birth, such as the artificial womb. Could we remove any "undesirable" traits from our children and grandchildren?
"Undesirable" is already a controversial idea. One person's mental illness is another person's neurodiversity. You might select an embryo based on the absence of disability, but it's more bitter when you frame this as culling any blind or deaf embryos. That's without getting into deep historic problems with sexism and racism. We already hear

Does anyone know if I should pay first or not?

So, i am a NEET aspirant and i am planning to get into some "backup course" this year instead of taking a drop year again.
I applied for BSc (Hons) Biotechnology course at Amity University and i am really concerned regarding the university, i have heard that doing a BSc from a private university is useless. My father is insisting me to take a regular BSc at local govt college with Chemistry, Zoology and Botany as main subjects, his reason is that "if you want to prepare for NEET then this course will help you in your preparation and if you ever deviate from the path of NEET then you would have an Undergraduate degree and can apply to various govt jobs or go for further studies in either of subjects that you have opted in BSc", makes sense but i have heard that BSc regular hold no to less value in front of BSc (Hons) well actually read that in quora. I really do not want that tag of "BSc" to stick with me for my entire life but if i don't get anything this year during counseling, i will have no other option.
I can't do B Pharma, i do not like chemistry at all, BPT and BSc Nursing is just not my thing and i can't afford MBBS from private medical college. I am just hoping that this year i get BDS from govt dental college, i got BDS from govt dental college last year with much less marks i have scored this year and i regret my decision of not taking admission in it. I swear, if i get BDS this year, i will take it in a blink of eye and then prepare for NEET side by side.
My father thinks that this year i won't get anything and is willing to get me admitted to BSc and asked me to choose a BSc course, thats how i landed up on BSc biotechnology. I applied to Amity University and got selected with 25% tution fee scholarship, i rejected that offer for now and told them that i will apply again in April. I have limited time and i do not know what to do and where i am even heading. Any advice would be appreciated.

I wanna do biotech genuinely intrested in it, but I keep hearing there is no scope for biotech, even my sis said that she did foodtech, but Im intrested it but also I would probably need good money as fast as possible due to some good real reasons
Hey guys, i have some time on my hand and am looking to enhance my skills. I've just started off with my btech in Biotechnology; my areas of interests would be genetics, immunology, Biotechnology, biochemistry. If any of y'all have done any workshops related to these in the past and would like to recommend, pls do! Any other suggestions to utilize my time while learning new skills are also most welcome!
Hi! I got my BS Biology degree in UPLB and I currently work here in NCR. As I look through yung mga programs na pwede ko itake as masters, sila yung nag stand out sakin. Hindi ako makapili tbh. Ang research interest ko talaga kasi is cell physiology, pathways, enzymes, mga ganun. I also plan on being a prof. My only worry pag nag MS MBB ako sa Diliman is that I will take some undergrad courses pa unlike sa UPM na Biochem wala na need i take. Kaso di ko alam kung worth it ba na di magtake ng additional units in UPM kung mas maganda ang other program. What do you think guys? Anong meron sa isa na wala sa other one? Tsaka anong mga labs ang mas maganda?
I was recently accepted to NSUOCO. I was also offered an entry level job in biotechnology for starting salary of 65k w/ no experience, 10k sign on bonus and 5k relocation assistance with a company car + full benefits.
I have 110k debt from undergrad and would graduate with an additional 200k debt from Optometry school. My long term plan would be to go for public service loan forgiveness after working for a Not For Profit organization after 10 years, with income driven payments of 10% of my salary.
I donβt know which career to choose. I want to work in private practice eventually but also donβt love the idea of owning my own business. I also will likely be a mom and drop to part time. I am terrified of such a huge financial burden but donβt want to give up on something Iβve worked so hard for.
Any advice would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Hi Guys Can somebody guide me regarding the jobs in biotechnology? I have recently completed my undergraduation in Life sciences and was thinking to go for Masters in Biotechnology. However, I don't want to enter into academia or any research position after that. I wanted to know what are the jobs available in Biotechnology industry, especially in the business side, and will a Master's degree in Biotechnology or MBA help me to grab those jobs?
Hello Iβm in my first semester studying biotechnology at a university in Germany. I like it so far, but maths and chemistry are really really hard for me. We also have some issues with our professors because of Covid restrictions so we have to learn all the stuff by ourselves. Any advice on what to look at specifically, or how to deal with math and chemistry more easily? Iβm really motivated to study and really want to make my bachelors degree, but the circumstances are just so bad. I would appreciate any advice:)
Hi! I am taking A-Levels in Malaysia now and am expected to be done by June 2022. If I plan to do Biotechnology in the future, are there any other pathways I can take besides taking a Biotechnology course in my universities in the UK? For example, Biochemistry, Biological Science, Biomedical Science. Thank you.
Hello, so before I start, I know the Joint Honours in Biotechnology is considered one of the toughest programs in uOttawa but either ways I feel this is something I would want to do as I am aiming for work in tissue engineering, biomaterials, nanotech, biotech... and I don't mind heavy work loads (already taking 6 courses per semester though I don't have to)
So I am 2nd year biomed but I have taken (and will be taking next semester) all the courses for first 2 years biochemistry. If I am to switch to the biotech program it will add 2 years to my program due to how engineering courses work (pre-requisites and all that) and I would end up with a couple empty spots in my coursework as a result. Is it possible to fill these with the 10 courses required for the BSc Computing Technology and thus in a sense "triple" major? (though its not really 3 full majors as the Computing Technology isn't 120 units by itself just 30).
I don't know if this was ever done before but is it allowed in a sense? Like if I take all the required courses for it will they refuse to consider it as a completed degree?
Hi! Im a 17f grade 12 student right now and im thinking of applying to the TUM for Biotechnology in July, but! Im absolutely frightened by the amout of biochemistry you have in the first 2 semesters. I had chemistry for about 1 Year in school and dont remember anything o.o
Should i seriously reconsider studying this if i dont know anything about chemistry? Any advice on how to maybe prepare for it?
Thanks in advance!

Dear all,
I am a student who is currently finishing up my undergrad (major in finance and minor in biology) at a βmid-tierβ university based in US after interning at a biotech company (corporate finance) for around 6 months. **I was once considering dental school so I ended up taking all prerequisites with great grades as well but passion for becoming a dentist faded away
I was curious to know whether it would be helpful for me to do a masters in Biotechnology to learn about FDA approvals, clinical trials, etc and to meet people who are currently in the industry as well.
Financing the program is not an issue at all but I just wasnβt sure if going through masters degree will in biotechnology at universities such as Upenn/JHU/Brown would open more doors to consulting, venture capital, and corporate finance positions.
Thank you in advance.
Hello everyone! So Iβm kinda in a dilemma here and Iβm unsure which major to choose. I have an interest in both of them but Iβd like to know which one has better career prospects, pay, and etc. Iβd like to also hear out your experiences in either majors. Thank you.
