To be blunt, what I'm really missing is more Robin Hobb after I've finished her Farseers series (I've read all her books). I started reading her Megan Lindholm books, and it reminded me that one of things I loved the most about her style.
What I'm looking for is someone who is not afraid of describing the mundane details. Setting up camp, looking after the horses, cooking a stew, general life, writing letters, gardening. I don't mind if there is an overarching epic story line, I just find a lot of peace in these small details and find that they build up the characters for me.
