Very Unhappy Monstera Deliciosa- had it about a month, only watered when top soil is dried out, kept indoors in mostly indirect sunlight. It hasn't grown at all and fresh leaves haven't uncurled after a month and some are brown and dry. What am I doing wrong?

My red maranta has been thriving on one stalk (new leaves, leaves moving like prayer plants do) & looking very sad on the other stalk (leaves curled). It started a month ish ago, I think I left it unwatered for longer than usual. Watered it normally since but leaves haven’t uncurled. What can I do?

Found in Guadeloupe, growing out from a mountainside with leafier plants. Think it would have been ~6 inches long if uncurled, maybe longer. Very striking - notice the swirls and thorns on each segment. If this is not a plant, let me know and I will remove.
