A list of puns related to "Tvnz"
I saw the latest episode of Country Calendar this fine Sunday evening. It featured a woman who started a Christmas Tree farm to provide people with an alternative to plastic trees. This episode really brought home to me the enormous service this site does by showing Kiwis who they are.
The stories I've seen on Country Calendar are always about the people and the land. There are no politics, no race, no revisionist history lessons, no economic stats or status, etc. No judgments, no OpEd. Only what the people are doing on the land, how it's done, what is the outcome, and what got them into it.
Country Calendar always features loving and beautiful shots of the land local to the story, despite that might be as simple as sheep on a hillside. Perhaps the very best feature of Country Calendar is the complete lack of frenetic pacing and loud noises that seem to be the staples of most other shows. It's very calming.
Country Calendar is a national treasure that shows the best of New Zealand and of Kiwis. Thank you TVNZ!
That's actually a huge W. I thought Neon would have gotten it given their HBO deal.
Although the ads can be annoying I belive they're tolerable, and as well as that it can also be annoying how some TV shows and movies don't stay on there for long it still has panty of good stuff, at least for me. Out of all the people I know only me my family and one of my friends occasionally uses it.
Do any of you peeps use it and why or why not?
Edit: I guess more people use it than I thought, just no one in my circles do.
Not gonna lie, its messing up our morning routine not having the news on lol. The webpage on the tvnz website just 404s. Did they cancel it?
bizarre to see no option for subtitles on a television network. as a deaf person this is really upsetting as I can't enjoy the show I want to watch :/ also mildly infuriating that they licensed shows that would originally appear on netflix (which support subtitles!) to stream on their website instead, when they arent accessible at all
They've got some good UK drama, but why the f**k do they not include subtitles with 99% of the streams? And yes, due to the often poor sound mix (lots of BOOM, lots of TENSE MUSIC, method actors whispering) subtitles are almost a necessity. This all from the app and casting to chromecast - only the rare series has the CC option.
Yet if I set sail on the High Seas, those same episodes have anything from 1 to 40 language caption sets embedded.
Almost makes me give up trying to stay legit.
Anyone worked for TVNZ? Interested to know what the environment, culture and overall experience is like - particularly in the IT software divisions. Are there much career development opportunities?
Oh please tell me Iβm not the only one finding this train wreck of an interview amusing as heck?
Hopefully it gets put up online to share.

Anyone else watching TVNZ Sunday on Tangi during Lockdown? Dang that hit hard!
Written by Rose Matafeo and NZ comedian Alice Snedden. Stars Rose as a kiwi in London, who, as an ordinary girl with a job in a cinema, has an on again off again relationship with a famous actor.
So great that they are making a second series. Well done.
Was quick to watch as it's only 20 minutes long x 6 episodes.

It got 5 star reviews in the UK:
Sorry, Wally mate.
About 7.15 this morning one of the presenters was asking someone about the upcoming vaccine "passport", and queried whether people would be happy with "all their medical data" on this document.
Talk about false news. Nowhere, not even once has government said anything like this, in fact as the interviewee pointed out, they have been at pains to say this definitely would not happen.
Would have thought these people would be up to date, and not trying to sensationalize false information. No wonder there's so much crap flying about over covid.
You fucking suck! It was if the app was deliberately designed to chase me away. Buffering, lagging, subtitles stalling, unable ( sometimes) to rewind to start of show, if watching a series it always goes back an episode. But today you outdid yourself! Went to channel to finish watching programme, discovered it had restarted half way through last episode. I sighed and pressed to pause β¦nothing. Pressed remote again to go back to homepage.. nope . So getting a little frustrated I exit the app completely, thinking Iβll go to another app then log back in. Go to Spotify but joy of joysβ¦ TVNZ on Demand audio still playing in the background.
#fuck you TVNZ#
Billy TK, Vinny Eastwood and and the rest of the freedom amoebas are protesting right now, yelling about how their rights are more important than anything else. If someone could give us an accurate count of protestors, Billy promised to fuck off out of the public eye if there were less than 500. He's very careful not to mention how many are there, or to give us a good view.
Less irralvant and inept commentary during performances.
So many interesting and relevant facts during the athlete parade.
And no ads during the show, especially during moment's of silence.
Not going to watch another TVNZ Olympic ceremony, unless they promise to change
Guess your numbers for the TVNZ poll dropping tonight.
In terms of party vote I'm going: LAB 42 NAT 24 ACT 15 GRE 09

My whanaΕ« in Spain want to be able to watch Shortland Street.
I'm the nominated tech guy in the family because I know how to use Excel. Ugh.
Does anyone know?
If this is against the rules or whatever just delete my post mods βΊοΈ
I received this response and justification from the TVNZ Complaints committee in regards to the airing of advertisements during the moment of silence during Friday's Olympic opening ceremony. Whilst I understand the excuse given, a lot of the outrage could have been so easily avoided by waiting for the stadium announcer to start talking again before cutting to advertisements.
> Thanks for getting in touch. As you have identified the scheduled ad break screened too abruptly at the end of the moment of silence during the TVNZ coverage of the Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony. We recognise that this made it appear that we had played ads during the moment of silence, and we would like to assure you that this was not the case, the ads were played too quickly just as the moment ended.
> We agree this moment should have been given time to breathe and we apologise for this. Our production team are aware of this issue and the Complaints Committee has been assured that there will not be a repeat of this for the remainder of Tokyo 2020.
> The timing of ad breaks is not regulated by the Broadcasting Act 1989 and so unfortunately, we cannot accept a formal complaint about this.
> Kind regards, TVNZ Complaints Committee
Edit 1: Fixed quote formatting
Obviously cutting to a bloody ad break during a moment of silence was disrespectful and disgusting.
Also, did they even prepare for commentary? There is SO MUCH empty airtime during the participants parade.
It would've been nice to know more about which sports all the countries are participating in or more info on notable athletes. Or literally just facts about country's history in the Olympics or even more about the country if it might be one not as well known.
Guess it's not surprising at how bad it is
