A list of puns related to "Mythbusters"
My first thought is Jenny in a hall brawl
The Myth: I always see people use Jennyβs loss to Tori as a reason she would have no chance against other larger competitors in a hall brawl. This was true as at the time Jenny had no idea how to use her body for physical contact as in the hall brawl you see her slow down before contact
What changed: she got specific training for hall brawl and you see in total madness she has a much better body position, runs through her opponent and Dee-molishes her opponent.
An interesting topic popped up here not too long ago in a series of wonderful Doom raid guides (thanks to FullMetalCOS for those) that had sparked some debate. The suggestion was that Kestrel should be used as a Raider because she does more damage as one, particularly because of her off turn passive attacks.
I decided to do some math to dig into the truth of this. What I found was a bit more complicated than I expected, but also fairly straightforward in the answer to one aspect of the suggestion.
For the first part I decided to dig into the question of straight damage: Does she do more damage as a Striker or as a Raider?
I broke down every level of iso and compared them and this is what I found (levels 2 and 4 for both tier 1 and 2 have no change and are excluded).
Edit: I completely forgot Striker still gets 30% extra crit damage at a 10% chance so I fixed this section with the proper numbers and analysis. Thanks to sp33d0fsound for catching this.
Edit2: So after discussing things more with 2 people I see now that the higher the red stars you have on a character, the lower the advantage you get from Striker. So while based off of base damage the numbers for Striker are accurate, the numbers for Raider are working off of the modified damage provided by the red stars, and that varies at each level to where while Striker has a lead at lower reds, it seems in fact Raider does have an advantage at higher reds for average damage per hit.
While the damage stat itself is still higher with Striker regardless of red stars, the exact % advantage becomes smaller as you get more reds.
This muddies the water and makes it much more complicated to calculate. You'd basically have to do 32 different calculations for each class (8 at each of the first 4 iso levels with an increase to damage or crit%/crit damage).
T1 L1
Striker: 5% on all hits (8% on average per hit taking into account native crit chance and damage) and 50% on Iso Bonus Attacks (IBA; based on basic)
Raider: 7.5% average damage per hit
At tier 1 (green) level 1 iso, not taking the IBA into account, the average damage increase is slightly higher for Striker
Striker gives a straight 5% increase (so every hit does 5% more damage). Add in an average of 3% more damage from crits (0.1x30) and the average damage per hit is 8%.
For Raider, you need to find the average increase per hit, which means taking her crit damage increase (the amount over 100%) and multiplying it by the crit chance. So this is 0

I am a long-time fan of the show but have missed a lot of the episodes. Now I got a Prime account and am binge-watching and is on Season 6. It kinda hit me hard. I did not have a chance to watch a lot of Jessi's episodes before. I got familiar with Jessi because of her web series with Autoblog. I loved her. She was so cool. A very talented, amazing dare-devil type of person. Now I am watching her episodes with Grant and Tory, can't help to imagine what more she can do if her life wasn't tragically cut short. Or course same for Grant.
Would love to see it. For example, βDoes sheet mulching really work?β :)
Boys say something you've heard / stereotypes / questions about girls in the comments and I (or the other women and girls who happen to be in this sub) will either debunk or confirm your assessment
idk I'm bored and y'all need to be educated
For some reason everyone in my area says you need a βtest dummyβ because you donβt know if the mushrooms you grew will kill you or not.
Where the hell did this come from? Lol is there some type of deadly hidden bacteria or contam that can grow on them? Or is this just some uneducated myth that was spread around. Iβve heard like 4 people in my close circle say this now. Been studying actives for almost a year am I missin somethin?
I remember one episode where they tried putting a giant flamethrower on a bulldozer/car and plowing through the snow with it, but it failed. The show's logo was that yellow and black circle they put on crash dummies as far as I can remember. I also remember one episode but I'm not sure if it is the same show. An episode about earthquakes and moving building foundations or something like that but it might be completely unrelated.
Also I could have sworn I remember the mythbusters crew hosting it (Grant Imahara, Kari Bryon, Tory belleci) and for a long time it was one of the older seasons of myhbusters. But I guess it isn't
