A list of puns related to "Tevatron"
Or is it just a novelty like the shopping cart? King Crab is my favourite.
I bought acorns on the Xbox marketplace for the Tevatron bike but the acorns dont show up in the game.
Please fix the acorn issue as I would like the Tevatron bike. I got a refund from xbox. I did not get a refund for a tiny acorn pack but I did for two small packs. I guess you get two refunds per year.
Hey, i got a question. Is the new tevatron bike any good or is it just like the alpaca, i have some acorns left so im Thinking to buy the new bike or the fusion track pack.
My RSS feeds of blogs by actual particle physicists blew up today because of the final Tevatron Higgs results being released, so I figured I'd share it with you in a karma-less text post.
I've arranged these from least technical to most technical (I think):
Least technical
The anonymous "Jester" at Resonaances puts the Tevatron release in perspective (although today I found out who Jester is...)
John Conway, a particle experimentalist at UC Davis, gives you an insider's view of the Higgs search at the CDF experiment at the Tevatron. He now works on the CMS experiment at the LHC.
Most technical
As a bonus, I give you two three more posts:
My understanding was that the beam only had functions around the outside of the circle. What is the purpose of the tower at the center of the Tevatron? I did some searching but was unable to find details on it. Not a great image but here's a link to maps.

I'm writing a report on the Higgs evidence. I have seen data that suggests Tevatron ruled out a Higgs with mass roughly 157 to 180 GeV. If this is true, why couldn't Tevatron see significant evidence of a Higgs with mass ~126 GeV? Surely this lower mass would be easier to create and therefore easier to rule out? A source would be great if possible.
