A list of puns related to "Tenleytown"
How is it possible there are no straight up bars in tenleytown? Is AU a dry campus or something
I'm curious about people's experience of biking along Mass Ave? The most direct route from my home to office is basically side streets from Tenleytown as far as the Observatory and then Mass Ave to DuPont. I've never biked this section of Mass Ave but having driven it, I know the traffic is often bad and the drivers insane. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Does the Tenleytown Target validate parking in the garage next to Container Store?
Pretty straightforward, I was running after the H2 on Van Ness yesterday and I think my ID fell out of my pocket either there, or right by the H4 pick-up in Tenleytown, right in front of Surfside. I noticed it was gone just after that, but have yet to find it. Probably a long shot but it's a South Dakota driver's license so at least it's recognizable.
Fingers crossed
Just moved to the area. Iβve taken a long break from fencing due to the cost, and my distance away from my nearest club at my old home. Iβm curious in seeing if there were any clubs around/in the area.
Thanks!
Just heard it from the loudspeaker at Woodley.
Hi all, Used to be that I could go to any of the Whole Foods near me and get dry aged prime beef. Since Amazon took over however, the local whole foods' only dry age choice grade meat (no fucking idea why) despite having non-dry aged prime in stock.
I've been looking for a new provider but haven't had much luck. Butcher's alley in Bethesda won't start selling dry aged meat for a couple of months at least, according to them. Currently I drive out to Balducci's in Wildwood but they're not always in stock (case in point, their next batch of steaks won't be ready for a couple weeks).
I've heard about some butchers at Union or Eastern market but that's a long, traffic fueled trek I'd prefer to avoid.
Anyone know a guy? Thanks a bunch.

Room available on July 1 in our group house. We're all professionals/graduate students in our late 20s and early 30s. There are five roommates and rooms total - currently one male, three female, and one available spot. We also have a French Bulldog named Frankie, owned and taken care of by one of the roommates (No further pets allowed under the lease). One of our current roommates is moving out to live with their SO, so we are looking for a laid-back, friendly roommate to occupy the available room.
The place is very close to AU, and we have an available parking space in the garage. Check out the Craigslist post above for pictures and feel free to reach out if youβre interested or have questions!
I know! It's our favorite kind of alert. Cracked rail at Friendship Heights.
EDIT: Resolved! Thanks, /u/KevinMCombes.
Edit: Not out of service, but power issues between friendship heights and tenleytown. It's pretty bad this morning, surprised no one has posted about it
Sorry if this is not the right place to do this - but since it's in the DC area, I thought I would ask any other homeowners (specifically in the Tenleytown/AU area) if they had a similar problem this month with their water bill. Usually the bill is around $100, there has been a SLIGHT increase in the last 2-3 months, but this month the bill came out to a little over $1000!
I'm really confused because nothing has changed in my water usage (I'm not watering plants or anything with the season change).
The one thing that I did notice was a month or so ago, the fire hydrant up the street was running - like spewing out water. At the time I saw it, workers were standing around it, but I have no idea how long it had been going for. My street had a lot of water flowing down it on both sides (so it had been going on for awhile, clearly).
Can the city charge the folks in the neighborhood for that water damage/loss from the hydrant?
Did anyone else see the guy at the Tenleytown metro station mezzanine this morning, pants and underpants around his ankles, casually hanging out? Any idea what that was all about?
Don't know if I'm just crazy, but I've had two different cars over the year and whenever i am trying to lock/unlock my doors with my car remote in Tenleytown, it doesn't work unless I'm like 5 feet from my car. This is the only part of town I've experienced this in, and I'm wondering if anyone else has this happen to them, or if anyone has an explanation!
I know there's that radio or cell tower there, but I don't know if those things usually cause that type of interference.
Been sitting at dupont/woodley park for 10 minutes in the direction of shady grove. At first the conductor was saying there was a passenger with a medical condition at tenleytown leading to single tracking, but this seems like quite an overreaction to that! Anyone have a better sense of what's happening?
