A list of puns related to "Stopping Power"
I promise I'm not drunk here, but in theory, couldn't two schools make some type of handshake agreement to exploit the transfer rule for a win-win scenario?
I'll use my two schools as an example.
U-M and Eastern Michigan make such an agreement.
The coaches then co-recruit together and walk into the home of a top-ish recruit. They say, hey kid, we think you can be our next starting QB at U-M but you need a year or two of bulking up and development. We know you'd rather play than sit on the bench all season. So, pick a school you may not really love but would start right way oooor sign with EMU where we'll make you starting QB as a freshman and hook you up with NIL $ for a guaranteed two years. If things work out as planned we'll have you transfer to be the U-M starter, if not you can be free to either stay at EMU or transfer to any other school of your choice."
U-M keeps kid in the pipeline to become their next QB instead of him getting sick of watching the current top one or two QB's fighting for playing time and transferring. EMU gets a starter who likely has more prospect than they would have without the connection.
I fully understand how cover works. I fully Understand how shields work. I fully understand how armor works.
But I just cant get over that ballistic shields dont have some combination of SP and HP. I am fully understanding that it is likely done to keep things uniform & not have rules layer.
I remember there being a rebalanced armor and shield rules for CPR somewhere online, but can't for the life of me find it.
IIRC. There were two levels of shields, One that was SP 5 HP 4 (I assume a light shield) and a Heavy that was SP 7 HP 10 (a heavy shield that applied the heavy armor penalty).
But I can't specifically find it.
Why can't I do this
Had this scenario pop up twice now, once in a real game and another time while showing the system to a friend.
Character A scores Deadly Critical on Character B. Dice determine that the result of this attack is a Dismembered Limb. But the attack itself doesn't actually do much damage, nowhere near enough to get through the stopping power of the armor. So the target only ends up taking 10 damage, but also loses a limb. Having trouble wrapping my arm around the logic of that.
Also, one of the times this happened was with an arrow. Harder still to imagine how a simple arrow, which couldn't penetrate the armor, was somehow able to dismember the leg beneath it.
Hello there fellow EDH players!
Long time Magic player here. Started at the Urza Block, but moved to only play EDH around 2010. Not as active on Reddit, but I am a TO regular and consume a lot of EDH content. That also includes this wonderful sub :).
Now, Iβm not coming at you with a custom alter, deckbox, birthday cake or set of coasters. Instead I have created yet another take on an EDH Power Level Guideβ¦ Covid gives us a lot of time to ponder on things. And in my case some of that time has gone to thinking of a way change how we, the MTG community, think about Power Levels in EDH. You can find my take on the Power Level Guide below:
A tool for assessing Winning Power & Stopping Power of EHD decks
Disclaimer (added December 6th): Many donβt imagine taking this diagram to actual rule-0 conversation, and I agree. That is not the intent of this model. Heck, even someone like me would not find it enjoyable to bring this out and going through he motions for each deck. That would amount to playing a game of battleship before we can actually start playing EDH. Instead my main goal with this guide is to, compared to previous power level guides, create a more inclusive description of the format, as well as to explain some of the main reasons for possible feelbads. I sought to explain these intents below, but I now realize this is not evident from the guide itself. I may amend the guide to state this clearly, as well as to try and incorporate some of your other feedback.
Update (added December 7th): Thanks everyone for the honest feedback :). I consider this attempt a swing and a miss. Based on your thoughts I may give this another go in the future.
In the remainder of this post I will explain what led up to me attempting this version of a Power Level Guide. I will express my view on what is Casual EDH and how that has led me to go for the current setup. Then I will explain the main new element in the guide, Stopping Power, why I consider adding it an improvement, and what applications I see for this guide. I also very much welcome your thoughts and feedback.
What led up to this Power Level Guide iteration?
About 1,5 years ago, fellow redditor emillang1000 created and shared a diagram called βA guide to power levels in EDHβ, although it was met with some fair criticism, I really thought the setup had

I main a blue GP4(using for about 8 month), but I'm not happy with the stopping power. Therefore, I'm looking for pads with a little more control and stopping power than GP4.
I am thinking of buying two of the following: Vaxee PA, Artisan zero, Paracontrol V2, AC+ white, Gigantus V2. Which one should I choose? Also, if you have any other recommendations, please let me know.
(I'm quite interested in the vaxee PA, but I've heard it's a bit faster than the GP4, so I'm not sure.)
Main game: Valorant
Sens: 60cm/360
tried mousepads: GP4(blue), Parabreak V1
mouse: xm1r(genuine two big sole)
Just received my AC II. I love the build of the pad and it feels amazing but it just doesn't feel right for me. I'm coming from a G-SR-SE that I would like to replace because it sucks with humidity and sweat.
Would the Equate+ be something similar to the G-SR-SE or should I look at a different brand? Open to other options as well. I would like to keep it under $50 USD. Mainly play Apex Legends, COD, and just started playing Super People. Sens is 34.64 Cm/360.
I know it makes no sense but I can't help but think this. I've never seen any person ever with the same or even close to the amount of flaws I have. No matter how much I try to fix them nothing seems to work I've been trying for years. None of the things that are usually supposed to work have worked for me. Even other than my looks, bad things keep happening to me and preventing me from living a normal life. It's like someone is making me miserable on purpose. I'm losing my mind.

My printer says power failure, do you want to resume for the past 5 prints, there is no power outage in my area, it happened each time I've tried to print for the past 5 days. It will print for about 15% to 20% of the print then it says that, I've tried resuming the print but all it does is pull the build plate return it returns to home because the filament is stuck to the print where it stopped, this happened before, but I just unplugged it and left it for a week, plugged it back in and it worked for the next week, then started doing it again.
0 Relativity : The user can freeze time when they are in motion relative to their surroundings . The user must keep moving faster after activating the quirk to sustain the time freeze. If the user stops moving for even a second the time freeze will stop. If the user starts by moving at a speed of 1 m/s to sustain the freeze for longer they must move at 5 m/s. If the user starts by moving at 25 m/s they must accelerate to 125 m/s to sustain the freeze. When the time is frozen the user cannot move any object no matter how hard they try, to move something they must remove their quirk. The user can see, and doesnβt need to breathe when time is frozen . The rate of acceleration could be decreased. Overusing the quirk can cause headaches.
Edit: I think this quirk is a bit too troublesome to use or write somewhere about so I decided to change it
0 Relativity : The user can freeze time when they are in motion relative to their surroundings. The user is not able to breathe after freezing time thus making the period they can freeze time for is how long they can hold their breath. When the time is frozen the user cannot move any object apart from themselves no matter how hard they try, to move something they must remove their quirk. The user can see, and breathe during freezing time. The rate of acceleration could be decreased. Overusing the quirk can cause headaches.
it dosnt have to go far, it just has to hit harder. he's in the navy now and we used to do stuff with nerf all the time, then we moved to paintball before he left. he's gonna be back on the 26th so i have some time to order springs but i dont know which springs to get and finding that out has been an ordeal
I have an address 3, but it is pausing in the middle of printing, it just stops printing and doesn't come back, it stays still. turned on (it doesn't turn off, there's no error) it hangs a little, I can't touch her settings, but then it comes back. I think it's not a lack of energy, can someone help me?
All marksman rifles (minus kar) now benefit from the use of stopping power rounds. Previous posts on this as recent as 2020 showed weapons like the Mk2 and the SKS showing zero benefit from stopping power rounds. I'm not sure when this change happened, and I haven't quantified how much they benefit exactly yet.
But, all marksman rifles now deal at least 200+ damage with a headshot. This makes the Mk2, SKS, and EBR viable for sniping shenanigans. Nowhere near good, but definitely fun.
Please let me know if you have more info on this. Just thought I'd share so others can enjoy. Have fun!
P.S. The SKS with NVG scope is fun for headshotting in plunder (much more manageable visual recoil too). Build for aiming stability/bullet velocity. Again, nowhere near good, but very troll/fun.
So a lot of people ask when safemoon will hit 1 cent. But they never ask about what happens when the burn stops.
Right now, If we had 1Billion volume and 1Billion safemoon in your wallet. You would recieve $50 dollars in reflections. This remains constant regardless of price.
If Safemoon decides to stop the burn at 10 trillion circulating supply. Anybody holding 1Billion tokens would make $5000 per day per 1Billion in volume. Even holding 100Million Safemoon would bring you $500 a day per 1 Billion volume. THIS is why the exchange and blockchain is so important.
Let's take Binance. Looking online we can see they have 27Billion in volume in the last 24hours. If the Safemoon burn was stopped at 10 trillion circulating supply, and Safemoon had 27 billion in volume, Holding 100million Safemoon would have made you $13,500 in reflections in just 24 hours. Those holding 1Billion Safemoon would recieve $135,000 in reflections.
(Direct Volume in comparison to just BNB Taken from the last 24 hours) - 2.5Billion volume. Equivalent to $12,500 in reflections per day if you hold 1Billion Safemoon. Or $1250 per day if you hold 100 million Safemoon.
1Billion volume on a Safemoon exchange is being modest. No other crypto has exploded with this level popularity this quickly.
Turning off the burn is simple. It is written into the safemoon contract (insert x wallet to remove from reflections). Turning off the burn wallet is going to be a special day for those who have diamond hands.
