A list of puns related to "Socialist Republic Of Romania"
I've heard mixed things from a few sources on Nicolae CeauΘescu and the Socialist Republic of Romania overrall and I was wondering what people thought of them here.
As we enter the new year, the time has come once more for the State Planning Committee to begin implementation of the next Five Year Plan. Previously this concept has been a great success in Romania, at least by ideological margins, and is well on the way to turning Romania into a modern, industrialised, and social society. This plan will deviate from previous ones by a lessening focus on agricultural collectivization, having achieved 95% state ownership of arable land, shifting our economic focus to supporting continued industrialisation.
The underlying pillar on which all our future endeavours will eventually depend. Since the establishment of the first five year plan, the governmentβs literacy campaign has been a grand success, increasing literacy from 43% to 94% of the population. The remaining 6% being largely found among the elderly and select rural employees, and so we are willing to declare a conclusion to the campaign, though opt-in programs will remain in place for the remaining percentile.
As part of the ongoing National Question, regarding Romaniaβs place in the Soviet Bloc and the world as a whole, there is to be a number of amendments to subjects taught through all levels of the education system. A greater focus is placed on instilling national pride by teaching about the great figures and history of Romaniaβs past; a number of prominent figures, writers, and poets being edited and rehabilitated to fit into the Marxist-Leninist narrative, adjusted and put into a specifically Romanian perspective. Dacianism is likewise rehabilitated, and an ersatz historical narrative cooked up by the history faculty of Bucharest University will tell the story of βDacian Collectivismβ and βSocio-Political-Agrarianismβ to further incorporate the concept of Greater Romania into our Communist pantheon.
The availability of pre-school and kindergarten is set to be expanded. Currently 20,3% of children aged three to six are actually enrolled in kindergarten, that number is set to increase by 15% through additional funds being directed towards construction of new facilities, particularly in urban areas designated for industrialisation. For the equivalent of 2USD a month, the child will be afforded full-day care and be socially and intellectually prepared for later stages of education.
Compulsory Russian is dropped from Primary School and made an optional subject, along with English and French.

The Socialist republic of Romania is currently led by Stalin Fanboy no. 1 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej. Currently Romania's economy is being slowly strangled to death by Reparations to Russia and Tax exempt SovRom companies. Romania was historically very close to Russia until The Corn Lord's de-stalinization policies that made Gheorghiu-Dej closer to the west becoming one of if not the friendliest states in the warsaw pact to the western world.
Plans include NOT destorying my economy and implementing some economic liberalism and being a good little soviet to try and decrease my reparations to Russia. Also get rid of the fascist remnant trying to overthrow the people's revolution.
The time has come for Romania, the last of the countries under Soviet occupation, to self-govern. Despite the hiccup in Hungary, Kaganovich is confident that Romania's transition to a socialist government will be smooth and seamless.
Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej of the Romanian Workers' Party is being allowed to form government over the newly-created Socialist Republic fo Romania.
We expect Gheorghiu-Dej to ratify a constitution along the lines of the Soviet model. The Romanian Army
We expect the fledgling Republic to purge the Fascist elements within the former Army's ranks. The Soviet Union will be overseeing the entire process to ensure that the Romanian Socialist Republic does not backslide into Fascism and reactionary politics as it once had.
We will be limiting the size of the Romanian Army to as follows:
Type | Strength |
---|---|
Land forces | 120,000 officers and troops |
Anti-aircraft forces | 5,000 officers and troops |
Naval forces | 5,000 officers and troops |
Air Forces | 8,000 officers and troops |
Total | 138,000 officers and troops |
The Red Army will be retaining, for the time being, 35,000 troops in the country, to help oversee and train the new Romanian Army, as well as to ensure that the situation in the region remains stable. Once this threat subsides, the Red Army will be taking a much more tertiary role in Romania.
We wish the Romanian Socialist Republic the best with their newfound self-governance.
[M] It's IRL, almost to the T, just a bit late due to the kerfuffle in Soviet leadership.
I havenβt been able to find any good articles or books about Nicolae Ceausescu or the Socialist Republic of Romania. Could anyone recomend some to me?
To the Presidium of the Socialist People's Republic of Romania-Moldova,
The relationship between Transnistria and Moldova has long been fraught with peril and tension. The mandate of the Transnistria Forward party, when we were elected but a few months ago, was to bring Transnistria into the modern world, with dignity, whatever that modern world may look like. We wish for the past to become the past, and for us both to be able to move forward into an era of new relations. In this way, we welcome and celebrate the successful passage of the new Romanian-Moldovan Constitution, and our caucus of Moldovan representatives would like to express their support especially. The current administration celebrates peace, quick, and efficient integration, especially when the cultural, national, and ethnic perspectives of its citizenry are well enshrined, as in yours.
The Supreme People's Republic of Transnistria would like to formally re-open talks with Moldova, Romania, and all other interested parties. We do not wish for this to be another era of aggression, of warfare, and of the mistakes of our ancestors. Our government's only wish is for the best life possible for its citizenry, whose challenges are growing by the day.
We are willing to approach topics of economic reforms to fall more in line with Romania-Moldova's new constitution, in exchange for new business and economic opportunities to be allowed into the region. The Transnistria Forward party firmly believes that if underlying economic factors were addressed, the people of both Transnistria and Moldova would only benefit.
Sincerely, and with Great Hope, President Petru Marinela
I work a 9-5 shift at a supermarket but apparently ruling a country at the comfort of your laptop is more enjoyable than one thinks it would be and kills a lot of time. I'll probably try to post something at every other day, when I'm not bombarded with work and other personal life stuff that is. Keeping in touch with my Romanian descent, I'll be claiming Romania for this season.
The Socialist Republic of Romania is currently under the leadership of Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej, the General Secretary of the Romanian Communist Party, and President of the Romanian State Council. So far, Gheorghiu has established and maintained amicable relations with the West. I'll maintain that policy for now, but shit can go south fast, if you know what I'm saying.
Hello everyone,
I would like to claim the Socialist Republic of Romania. Formed in the wake of the deposition of King Michael in 1947 and, unless there's some continuity thing I didn't see, the constitution of 1948, Romania is a communist nation in Eastern Europe that saw itself occupied by Soviet troops during WWII.
Early infighting between different communist factions within Romania marked the opening of the new communist government, however Russian influence would back Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej, though Petru Groza is the current Prime Minister. His model of Stalinist personal rule would set the stage for Romanian politics for decades and allow his successor to become one of the most infamous communist dictators.
Comrades, Romania is at the forefront of the coming Marxist revolution!
