Finished my 1877 Sharps Long Range rifle project...45-90

Action is built up and finished from raw castings in 8620, barrel truned from a Krieger blank.Made the stockwork from a slab of English walnut.All told it took almost a year from start to range testing, now to get the wood checkered...My hand is too shakey for that anymore!

1874 Sharps Rifle Reproduction

I’m currently working on an 1874 Sharps Rifle Reproduction produced by Taylor’s & Co. The screw for the lever tension spring has broken off, and the lever will not lock into place when closed. Is the broken screw causing the issue or is it something else that I’m missing? Any help is appreciated!

How do y’all store ammo in ammo cans? I usually just put about 100 rds per ziploc and store them in the cans(mainly handgun ammo since rifle can be sharp). Any downside to doing this or better ways?
