I have been chased by escorts on numerous occasions and i always dive very deep (150-210m) but I have never experienced the acoustic layer. Can you guys provide an explanation and perhaps some tips on how to more easily find this layer and some tactics to use with it? Thanks!
When and how can the insect essence pass from the light zone to the dark zone, and when not?

In the first scene where the end of the fight over Brunis is shown, His Divine Shadow is there. And since Brunis is in the Dark Zone as we learn later, the insect essence is effectively in the dark zone.

Later on, His Divine Shadow is in the light zone, and it is told that His Divine Shadow cannot pass to the Dark Zone via the fractal core. When the Lexx travels at the end of season 01, episode 01 "I Worhsip his Shadow" through the fractal core, the insect essence does escape the tail of the lex and returns to the Cluster.

at the end of season 01, episode 04 "Giga Shadow", when the insect essence was inside an alive insect, it could pass through the fractal core via the insect's stinger.
That arises the question to me, why could His Divine Shadow be within the dark zone at the fight against brunis, but could not go there later? What was different then and "now"?
Apparently, a friend of mine has witnessed comments about how Shadow Zone is bad. Is there something I’m missing?

I understand what the shadow zone is, but the internet can't seem to give me a straight answer on where it is.
One source said -280m...I never recovered from leaks at -200m.
I finally figured out after watching Jive Turkey on YouTube that I could use manual rudder and plane commands to get to an EXACT depth. I think he said the best place to be is 15 to 20 feet below shadow layer depth so gonna try this out and I'll let you know how it goes :)

I recently started playing for the first time in over 6 years and I'm wondering if the meta developed, if any new & strong builds were found, and so on.
I'm looking for people who have used heroes in elite HM zones - here meaning nothing easier than Slaver's Exile HM - without consets or Shadow Form to discuss builds/ strats with. Examples of things I want to discuss are:
- Why would anyone use a Keystone Signet Mesmer (there's a template on PvX) instead of the standard Dom Mes?
- How good is the Mes minion bomber, especially relative to the Necro version?
- Which group should you pull first in the third room of Foundry HM?
- etc.
I use an Elementalist primary so I would prefer discussions focused around the caster playstyle, but melee is fine also. I prefer to talk in-game (my IGN is Jeydra Eventar).
