A list of puns related to "Sadistic Personality Disorder"
This has been one of the worst weeks of my life. I moved out a week ago due to emotional and even now some mild physical abuse. I am questioning reality, my sanity and how to make it as an adult. Its all been very weird? I am looking for people to relate with and just some guidance on how to start from scratch with no money, job or relationships. I just recently was looking up mental disorders as Iβve had multiple people whom have gotten close enough with my family tell me they believe my mother has some sort of mental disorder. Most thought it was schizophrenia but after digging I believe it is PPD and Narcissism as she has all the symptoms and people with schizophrenia seem to be less functional in society while my mom is still a functional member of society.
I donβt really know how to describe my mom so here are some of my personal experiences:
Experiences With My Mother:
1 Wont let me go to the mailbox without supervision as she believes ill be kidnapped if I do
2 Says I'm not experienced enough to drive at 20 and wont let me drive anywhere even to get experience
3 Spanks me with a belt at the age of 20 and tells me I can go and tell on her but people will say im crazy and deserve to be spanked when I disobey
4 Uses God CONSTANTLY to justify her actions and tell me I'm possessed
5 Tells me I'm insane or crazy constantly when she is losing an argument and forces others in the household to agree with her otherwise they will get in trouble too (My sibs have told me they lie and agree with her to stay out of trouble)
6 Will justify wrong doings constantly by redirecting the blame to you even when you are in the right and others say you are in the right as well
7 Will tell you everyone that does not agree with her morals or views is crazy or possessed by Satan
8 Wont allow relationships with friends or boyfriends or family unless able to interview them and control relationship
9 Constantly believes people are listening to her conversations or watching her
10 Makes children seem incompetent in front of company or uncapable of small task and will over explain how to proceed with that task even though the task has been completed by child multiple times before
11 Constantly brings up the past
12 Will put down children and say that shes the reason for all their success
13 Will tell me I'm not as skinny as she was when I was her age
14 Calls me a whore when I wear a tank top or shorts or even long sleeves and pants
15 Will tell her husband

He was strict but he was good people.
...Jasmine is a nearly perfect clinical example.
No amount of "love" from Gino will make it better. Wildly co-dependant as well.
One of the reasons Iβm on this sub, is that a friend of Alecβs, who was my friend and then a problem, for most of my adult life, is also someone with a Cluster B personality disorder. (A psychiatrist told me he had NPD in 1994.)
Watching Hillary is incredibly helpfulβbecause itβs so clear how her lack of empathy and object permanence makes her incredibly not functional. Hillary is doing the world a public service, by helping us talk about Cluster B personality disorders, because she so clearly has aspects of several. Does she know?
Is there an anime where the mc has multiple personalities and ends up becoming batshit crazy
Bonus points if mc is female
I've[M] had some near misses that taught me to avoid dating altogether. I'd like to, but I don't trust my instincts. Too trusting. People tell me they wonder why I couldn't tell that other person should be avoided. I couldn't see it! I have been studying various personality disorders and dysfunctions watching psychology videos on YouTube (School of Life, Psych2Go, Doc Snipes, etc) to make myself more aware of these problems and how there are literally millions of people looking to trap naive aspies in relationships to control us or ruin our lives. For those who do choose to date, bring along an NT friend or friends to size up whomever you are dating, so they can help see what maybe you and I can't.
As the title says, I have came across a few posts on here of people claiming to have ASPD, maybe a few of them actually do, but they always come across as so edgy and trying to sound badass.
I want to answer your questions realistically and without the bullshit, because I want people to understand this condition more and not assume they know it from movies and TV.
Background info: I'm male, in my mid 20s and was first diagnosed at 19.
It's night time as of posting this so if there's no questions soon after posting I'll check again in the morning.
Iβm so confused. One source may say that rapid mood swings is a symptom of bipolar, another source says itβs borderline personality disorder.
My therapist told me that unless you have episodes that last for several days in a row, itβs not bipolar. However, my past 2 doctors disregarded my prior borderline diagnosis and diagnosed bipolar 1 w/ mixed features.
My current therapist has me diagnosed with Borderline personality, Generalized anxiety, and major depressive disorder with mixed features.
However my current doctor βdidnβt see any signsβ of BPD, and diagnosed unspecified bipolar disorder.
My mood swings are intense and extremely rapid. Within the same day, or even the same hour. It very rarely lasts more than a couple of days.
I know itβs just a label but I need to know what I really have because if I donβt have bipolar, itβs unnecessary to be on a bunch of medications. Iβm on 5 psychiatric medications.
Anyone ever been in my spot? How do you get the right diagnosis? None of the professionals (therapists and psych doctors) EVER agree on a diagnosis.
The mental health clinic I used to go to before I moved diagnosed bipolar 1 with mixed features but I doubt Iβve ever had a full blown manic episode that lasts several days before.
Iβm so confused.
eta: obviously not asking for a diagnosis, I just want to know if anyone else has been through this type of thing and just to talk about it.
edit2: Iβve also had some doctors be like βwell, you have bipolar but all of the BPD stuff needs to be done in therapyβ. (Obviously not their exact wording). Almost like they donβt take the BPD symptoms in to account.
Do people with undiagnosed borderline suspect that they have it, or does it typically come as a shock when they get diagnosed?
