Brewer’s Blackbird? Northern Illinois, 5/1/2021, Noticeably smaller than a Grackle and more “leggy”, no beak notch, very different tail. Head is separate in color similar to a grackle. Solid body color, unlike a Rusty. Lore has some brown/red to it? Never seen anything like this guy reddit.com/gallery/n2rxbm

Who here studies fox sparrows and rusty blackbirds? It seems like everyone in Mississippi has spotted them out today in the snow. They're normally very rare, but today they were out in numbers. Why is that?

(No Photo) Bird Resembling Rusty Blackbird in Southern CA?
Hi all, I'm in coastal Southern California. Spotted a bird in a parking lot that I've never seen before, after looking through my bird ID books appears most similarly like a very rusty blackbird. However, this bird was a little bit more orangey and brown than the photos of the Rusty Blackbird. It had the general body shape of a pigeon or dove but stood straighter upward and looked a bit bigger.
