A list of puns related to "Romanic"
So I'm trying to write an essay about the Roman Republic becoming the Roman Empire, thought it'd be funny to start off with a pun but I can't think of anything so... help?
My fiancΓ© loves Ancient Rome. So far, I've bought him a Marcus Aurelius denarius, a Gryphon Editions leatherbound copy of Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, several Easton Press books, and a book detailing the graffiti in Pompeii, with maps of locations and translations, a model ballista, and the Landmark Julius Caeser. A friend of mine got him a mug with a Roman pun. He's loved all of these, and I've never seen him more excited than when he opened his Christmas gift (the denarii and leatherbound Meditations).
For Valentine's Day, I wanted to get him something that relates to it along with some food he likes. My thing is, I'm kinda running low on ideas. His birthday is the day after, and I get him a separate gift for that (buying him a new watch, upgrading the last one I gave him), so I'm kinda looking at something in the $100ish range so I don't break the bank since the watch is $300. I've learned so much about Ancient Rome because of him and want to get him something meaningful, I feel like I've been kinda piling it on with the books, haha.
Any cool suggestions that would make my self-made historian happy? I can splurge a little and go over the budget if I rebudget some other things, I just want him to have something cool.
I need to choose a track for a school play :)
I don't want to be in a romantic relationship. I want to be king of rats in a treehouse deep into the woods. No one was aloud to enter my treehouse and I had a small farm that my rats would help me with the farm. I would grow tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots. There were windows on my treehouse but they were barricaded. There were little holes for my rats to get from room to room. Once a year I would send a letter to a random villager in a near by town to come deep into the wood to my tree house. They would knock on the tree trunk 8 times and then climb up and knock on the door two times and slip the letter under the door. My rats would invite them in and we would have a tea party. And I would live that life until one day I would be in a rocking chair on my porch with my rats watching the sunset until I slowly fall asleep never waking up knowing I lived my life to the fullest
Hello Reddit. I am an 18 year old girl with a boyfriend whom I've been dating since grade 9. I guess I've been considering a break up for a while. My doubts about our relationship started when I'd have panic attacks while he tried to start intimate things, although he would stop he always begs for the whole time we hang out to do something sexual. I can stand the childish begging. I feel like I dug myself in this hole as when we first started doing sexual things I tried my best to please him, although I don't recall ever wanting to do it myself.
Another thing is he is going to collage soon and I feel bad for closing his dating options.
Sorry for bad formatting, I am currently not in a great state. Thanks for the advice in advance.
So I'm more on r/bisexualmen ( it's a great supportive masculine space for those looking for one ) than other bisubs and a lot of the guys there talk about how they're hetromantic but not straight and how that's really common for bi men. Then later down the line I figured out I'm probably aromantic
But I'm just wondering if a similar one side romantic preference is common on other parts of the gender spectrum.
So just outa curiosity is any one here not bi/pan romantic. And wanna talk about their experiences?
I have never had a crush or anything that to me seems like romantic feelings. I have felt sexual feelings for all genders and am having trouble knowing if I will ever feel romance. I want to so badly because everyone says it feels so good to be in love but I donβt understand things about romance like why people get awkward when rejected or when confessing a crush in a friendship. Am I aromatic? I canβt tell.
From 2002-2004, there was a TV show on NBC called "Good Morning, Miami." There was a promo that was on the official NBC website at the time that was about 30-60 seconds. It had "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton as the background music. I have never been able to locate it since. Here is an archive of the NBC website from around 2002 with the link to the aforementioned promo:

Sadly, the link is no longer working. I'd love to find this again and finally end my search for it once and for all.
Located in a typical small village in the north of Portugal, we are trying to date the building year of this church. Can the latin writings on the stones help? Curious on what they translate to.
So, I am always seeing the protagonist of these anime get a lot of shit. And especially with the harem ones, I agree they deserve most of it. But one complaint I often see that I don't think is always warranted(it sometimes is, but not all the time), is how they are dense and dumb as hell for not being able to tell the girls like them, and not making a move or what not.
But the thing is, so often, these anime are set in high school, or at least with people near that age. And be honest, when you were a teenager could you always tell if someone liked you? And even if you thought they did, were like 99% certain they did, wasn't it still often much easier to convince yourself you were reading way to much in to it, and were wrong. Of course they don't like you, they are just being nice, why would she possibly like me. That thought process is so much easier, and sounds more reasonable then thinking she really likes you.
Of course, there are times it goes too far, or even older characters who shouldn't have this problem. And most if not all the other compliants I see are valid. I just think a lot of them take a little too much shit for this one on particular.
im a freshman front row at my highschool and i want to play something other than my concert music
Hello! I am not really well informed in this subject and I excuse myself if this question is easily answerable with plain google, but: Which contemporary language of the Romanic family is most similar to Latin?
