Just a little note as doing a lot of reading at the moment and saw this about the importance of healing from trauma. I relate to it a lot, as I definitely notice that when i'm triggered i revert back to feeling like a needy panicked child who wants to be reassured and loved.
I hear so often that we should treat our triggered self like we would a child... approaching your healing by being patient and caring.
Anyone else feel the same way?
My employer has filed my PERM last month and I dont anticipate it to get approved until mid 2021. My priority date is May 2013. I am curious if any one here has any thoughts on how much will EB 3 India Date of Filing retrogress? Will it soon reach Feb 2010 (like how it was in Sep 2020)?

I opened to this page while thumbing through for something to reflect on after meditating. It’s part of a longer description of Pure Land but it stuck out to me tonight, in these difficult times, as an unusually direct promise. “I will protect you.”
And as the Pure Land teachings contain, so will countless other Buddhas. Even right now in our journey. Our life has meaning no matter what happens to our bodies and our society because they are walking with us towards something we will never lose when we obtain it. Thinking on this, even if each of us had the worst inner turmoils in the world, they are not too great that if we could compassionately work through them with the mind of Amida Buddha and all Buddhas, they wouldn’t dissipate. No matter what terrors are outside in our journey, we have the example of countless monks, nuns and laypeople and the protection of the Buddhas.

I have suffered from gout for the past 35 years or so averaging an attack about every other month. If I take my anti-inflammation pills when I first feel it coming on, I am usually back to normal in a day or two. I received my Pfizer jabs right after the first of the year and I haven't had an attack since. Has anyone else had this experience? I don't know if it is just coincidence or did the jabs have a unknown side effect. But it seems strange that after 35 years of every other month attacks it should just stop.

I figured I'd share some of my thoughts on my latest Alpha Musk order, with most of the scents coming from her newer collections, specifically: Vibrational Vintage Animal T-shirts, Dreaming of Another Life, and new Retrogressions! I understand that this company has been controversial and had large issues with TAT in the past. I have no experience buying AM in the past, so I can only offer my present experience. This was my 2nd order from AM's new site; I had placed it on Sept. 1 and received it on Oct. 7, so the TAT approached the end of the 3-4 weeks stated. I loved how everything is packaged like little gifts in wrapping paper, and I think the extras are really generous: I received 8 extra 1ml samples along with 1 free unreleased 5ml bottle and 1 dram with my purchase. It also came with extra stickers and paper cutouts which I plan to put in my journal :)

At first sniff and application, I was a bit disappointed because it smelled like generic sweetness... blah, boring. But on skin after a while, this definitely morphs into a delicious whipped marshmallow fluff, the tiniest bit milky (probably the bunny fur?) and topped with a dainty honeysuckle flower. If this scent were a color it would be a pale yellow. This is somewhat simple but so cute and wearable, I plan on keeping this bottle! Great for: springtime and cuddles.

My SO and I visited our local Aquarium of the Pacific last month, and putting this on took me right back to walking through those darkened hallways and outside areas filled with damp rock walls, glass touch tanks, salty water mixed with marine animal smell. Very misty and fresh. I usually don't dig aquatics, but this one I actually like! If this scent were a color it would be dark grey - the color of wet rocks at the beach. I'm going to keep and enjoy this sample as a little memory-in-a-bottle, though I probably won't full size because I don't wear aquatics often.

Have those animals reached a stage of non-retrogression?
Technically, the animal realm is part of the 3 Lower Realms, which should not exist in Amitabha's universe, as the realms of the hells, hungry ghosts and animals were emptied out.
Theory: would it be possible that those who reach the Borderland of the Pure Land are temporarily reborn as those beautiful animals in the Pure Land, then go back and forth from the Borderland Lotus Pod to Pure Land animal, then after a long time (Kalpas!) they are finally reborn in the lowest of the 9 grades and are ready to continue their Buddhist training under the guidance of wise and kind teachers in the Pure Land proper?
What do you guys think? What does the official sources say about these beautiful animals in the Pure Land?
