Was chopping firewood, and the cap on the end of mine came loose. Anyone have a guide for retying it? Thank you!
I have a cord necklace that was tied with 2 sliding knots (fisherman's knot I think). Somehow they came undone in the wash while the necklace itself is still a complete loop. Is there a way I can retie an adjustable knot without cutting the necklace?

For those of you that do your own reties, what is your tool of choice and why?
I usually don't retie knots unless I notice problems with the line or with the terminal tackle.
Is there a rule of thumb for this? Is it recommended retying knots after each outing?
Don't know if relevant, but I do spin fishing in salty and brackish water.

I personally use a swivel permanently attached to my main fishing line. I just change lures using a split ring. In my opinion, Snap swivels are too long or big and can make a fish lose interest. While swivels are better due to being shorter and thinner, it would be less conspicuous to fish.
Any other tips and tricks on changing lures in a pinch would be appreciated.
