A list of puns related to "Ragweed"
Been bad at my house and have to assume allergies since Iβm allergic to almost every thing possible, everyone is sneezing here but hitting me the worst. Woke up at 4:30 completely clogged and throat itching, face swollen and couldnβt get back to sleep. Iβm stacking different allergy meds out of desperation!
Hello all - i have been suffering from allergies ( mainly ragweed, silver oak ,wasps) for the past 5-6 years and it feels like it's only getting worse each year. When it's spring or fall , I limit my time outdoors and I really feel annoyed not being able to enjoy nice weather outside. Due to constant sneezing , running nose, etc, I also don't get good sleep or a productive day at work during the allergy season , which for me lasts about 2 -3 months in a year. Is there any one on this forum who has overcome these allergies - with medications and/or lifestyle change ? I plan to start immunotherapy soon but wanted to see if there are other ways as well

The official pollen reports have read "not in season" for the past 2 weeks, but my symptoms have persisted. We haven't had a frost yet in Toronto so I'm wondering if there's still pollen in the air but they simply stop measuring/reporting pollen counts after a certain date. Are you still having symptoms? What do you think: are we out of the weeds just yet? (Pun intended.)

I feel like I'm losing my mind. I've been having full body hives and my doctor is dragging her feet on sending me a prescription for 2.5% hydrocortisone. But it seems like literally every OTC 1% hydrocortisone cream has some ragweed ingredient. That's a big trigger for me and I can't use it. I have been using an OTC one that I just realized sneakily had a ragweed ingredient and I don't know if that's part of why it keeps getting worse. Does anyone know of an actual hypoallergenic version?? It's absolutely bonkers that they all have a huge allergen in them, even if it's proved to be more effective against itchiness in studies. What about all the people allergic to ragweed??
I did try oral steroids but I have terrible reactions to those and the hives came back anyway. Seeing an immunologist next week but for now I just want some hydrocortisone that isn't allergenic!!
Edit: I found ONE product without ragweed but a major ingredient is Sodium Laurel Sulfate so I don't want to put that all over my body lol
I think mine are starting to slow down, and I am considering stopping my allergy meds, but was wondering if anyone recollects when their allergies usually stop. i am pretty sure mine are always done by october 1.
I know this gets posted a lot, especially this time of year. For those that don't suffer from seasonal allergies and are sick of these posts, my apologies in advance (but also, super jealous).
I'm now starting to wonder if it's more than allergies because even after taking a prescription strength allergy pill, I'm still feeling like absolute garbage (and can confirm it's not covid).
So, is it especially bad today or is there a late summer cold thing going around now?
My allergies are killing me tonight and all I can think about is how bad your allergies got the last time we were together. I know you donβt care about me, I know weβre done. I know a lot of things but what I donβt know is why when Iβm feeling like shit I think about you. Having a addiction is horrible, being addicted to a false image Iβve conjured up about someone is soul draining. Btw, did you know ragweed still is in season in November and thatβs most likely the cause of allergies this month? Ironic.
New to NC. Were ragweed allergies especially bad for anyone else this past month or just me?
I know there was a post about this on [Aug 17th] (https://www.reddit.com/r/boulder/comments/p5k7al/anyone_know_what_outdoor_allergens_have_popped_up/) but in my case it's like a switch flipped about Sept 2nd. Literally all day sneezing and nose running.
I've started checking online pollen and air quality info but it seems like every day is bad and I'm wondered if anything changed for anyone else about a week ago?
Ragweed by Koe Wetzel is about the band Cross Canadian Ragweed. I was wondering if there were any references to Cross Canadian Ragweed songs in his song Ragweed?
My sinuses have been in peril since last week. Hopefully this much-needed rain will provide some relief.
Does anyone know how long ragweed season lasts here? I canβt find anything online to say how many weeks to expect it.
None of the normal remedies are helping. Whatβs helping my fellow Okies?

I want to die.
Is anyone else really pissed off about the developments in the Portlands being left to grow into giant ragweed hills? Ragweed is one of the most allergenic plants we've got, and spreads like crazy in less fertile soil. The big hills of untilled soil has turned into literal ragweed forests that have started to spread. Cherry beach is now mostly ragweed. Not only is it bad for people's health, it's also displacing native plant varieties.
Is there anything we can do? Developers have taken so fucking much from this city already.
Hello,
I love the weather this time of year, not too hot, not too cold. Perfect.
Except, this is also the time of year Ragweed loves as well. And it appears I have developed an allergy that has progressively been getting worse throughout the years.
So to those cursed with this allergy, what do you do so you can enjoy the great weather without the itching, congestion, and runny nose? I basically suffer all day because I love keeping my windows open and exploring the outdoors, only getting relief at night when I close my windows.
Is ragweed still floating around in the Midwest?
I had a bunch of strange symptoms pop up out of nowhere yesterday. Thought it might be COVID but got a negative test result.
I have all the symptoms of a cold as well as swollen eyes/lips/mouth at times. Also wheezing/chest/lung pain. Itchy hands/feet and I sat in the grass earlier and immediately got huge hives on my buttcheeks) even through sweatpants).
Iβve never had allergies before but Iβm thinking this is a reaction to ragweed now?
Heard 17 by them and loved and have been wanting more
Hi there! I'm 19, I live in upstate NY, and ragweed levels have recently been really bad up here (to the point that I was scared I had a COVID breakthrough case, but I got tested and was negative; I also went to the doctor the other day for my annual check-up and got the confirmation that it was allergies).
I've had allergies for as long as I can remember, but they've never been this bad. I've been taking an Allegra once a day and doing Flonase twice a day (but I stopped after a few days, as I read where it can make you more congested if you use it more than three days). I should also mention that I switched from taking Allegra to taking Claritin (well... Wal-Atin, which is the same thing) starting this morning.
My nose isn't congested, but I have a ton of postnasal drip in my throat and lungs. Aside from medicine, I've been trying warm tea, I gargled with warm salt water last night, and I've tried a diffuser (with lavender oil, although I haven't used it much out of fear that it'd worsen my allergies).
I go back to school tomorrow, and I'd really like to have something that can help alleviate this gunk in my throat/lungs. Is there anything else that might help and could stop me from constantly clearing my throat (inhaler, etc.)?
Thanks!
Is anyone experiencing ragweed allergy symptoms yet? I'm usually starting to feel the ragweed by this time of year, but I haven't yet. I don't know if its: 1-my allergy shots worked! or 2-ragweed is just late this year.
Question: I have a co-occurring allergy to ragweed and in turn if I drink alcohol I get a severe reaction with hives, itchiness, and swelling everywhere. I never had a problem to drinking in the past and one day it just started. Does anyone have something similar and can give any advice? Will I be able to drink again? Anything is helpful, thank you!
2 days ago on Thursday I had to be sent home after going to gym and having a BPM of 170 and chest pain. Then a day ago I developed a sinus infection, today I have been having asthma attacks right after another. Earlier I didnβt know that I had asthma until my mom told me that when I was younger I had to have breathing treatments with albuterol because ragweed triggers real bad attacks. Wonderful right? Did any of you learn the hard way about your asthma too?
Eyes burning, sinus headache, congested. Really cannot wait for this to stop. This effecting anyone else?
does your ragweed allergy seem to affect your lungs? iβve been having sore lungs, sore throat, feeling like i have a chest infection (pretty positive i donβt, and negative covid test). iβm going to see an allergist but iβve been suspecting iβve had this allergy for a bit now. i donβt know if itβs maybe bringing on some allergy induced asthma? itβs just like my lungs feel sore, and it can hurt to breathe, and sometimes they even feel like theyβre burning. this sucks as this is my favourite time of year!
Interesting blog on ragweed allergies for 2021.
