A list of puns related to "Radiance"
This item has been power crept / nerfed to a state where no one wants it.
To be honest it was always a bit odd in that it was historically favoured by illusion heroes but gave AD.. a stat illusion heroes gain very little from.
The last hero who picked up radiance semi frequently in recent times was wraith king but even his builds have diverted away from radiance in the past few months.
I still love the concept of radiance's aoe burn so I hope the item gets a rework in the coming big patch.
I'd suggest either making it more akin to cloak of flames, switching out the AD for AS or perhaps just buffing the burn damage.. perhaps making it stronger nearer the center and making it fall off the further from the source.
Thoughts on the items current state?
It feels absolutely terrible when you're actually using ward of dawn in a defensive manner and something launches you out and into a wall of instant death, instantly popping your bubble and leaving your teammates with nothing. It just feels terrible. This happens very often with melee focused enemies, unstoppable champions and boss stomps)
Warlocks have enjoyed Wells that remain after the original caster dies for years, allowing for way more clutch utility and reliability. We've also seen that it really isn't an issue in terms of balance, which might be the reason bungie hasn't made this change yet. Overall it would simply be a really nice quality of life upgrade for a super which has been in the shadow of Well of Radiance for years now, and wholly unreliable in crucible.
Edit: Most people seem apprehensive about how this would affect pvp. In my opinion it would be fine, requiring a super to counter a super and destroy the bubble, but perhaps bungie could instead male this a pve exclusive change. They seem to be dedicated to separate sandbox balancing at this point, so it's certainly in the realm of possibility.
Well of Radiance is no longer turning your fireteams weapon damage into super damage but only does it for the player casting the Well. This has two major implications:
- Focusing Lens does no longer buff any weapon damage of fireteam members standing in a Well of Radiance.
- Fireteam members can no longer shoot through shields when standing in a Well of Radiance.
The game does recognise the Well's 'owner', therefore other Warlocks running Well of Radiance still dont get the benefits when standing in someone else's Well of Radiance.
First to bring this up was ninj on twitter
Edit: See u/CourtRooom's twitter thread for further explanations and clarifications on this
Itβs very hard to encounter a fantasy series that would make a main character epileptic or autistic, Renarin Kholin is both. Itβs something I really appreciate, my sister is severely autistic and epileptic so itβs nice to see a character representing something I can relate too, and the scene of him telling Kaladin he wants to be in bridge four almost made me want to tear up a little.
Only hero that used to buy this item was wk. Nowadays wk doesnt buy it anymore. Item has the worst buildup among literlly all items. The most expersive basic item (sacred relic 3800) + expensive recipe.
Its even rarer purchase than mageslayer, only time i see this item purchased is either the team is giga stomping and start making less serious itembuilds or someone is just buyer.
Btw im immortal player. I really hope radiance (maybe the relic) gets cheaper or smthng. Tbh all 3 items that builds with sacred relic is pretty bad rn.
Hey guys,
I usually post text PSAs here when they come to me, but I decided to try doing a really short video for the first time. I'm super nervous and English isn't my first language, so please don't roast me too badly :/
In case you don't want to watch, the TLDR is: Lorentz will headshot kill anyone in a Well of Radiance.
Lorentz already kills virtually every Guardian in super regardless of resilience (the one exception I spotted was bottom- tree Arcstrider in mid-dodge, which did only 182 damage based on my testing).
But not as many people know that Lorentz also kills anyone and everyone standing in a Well. With the rise of zone Trials and more campy playstyles in general, I thought I would point out an obvious counter to anyone running Well.
I'm not the biggest fan of Lorentz personally and think "Super-Arbalest" needs some tuning, but I think it's good to understand the features of any outliers in the meta - either to use it better, or to counter it better.
Enjoy!
Letβs gooooooo!!!! Now that I finished the game itβs going directly in my top five games of all time.. I havenβt played a game this good in a long time. Tight controls, awesome world, and just an all around exquisite metroidvania gaming experience. Silksong can take as long as it needs if itβs anywhere near as good as this. Team Cherry, I applaud you all.
My male partner had never seen snow being that he grew up in Florida and is now in Georgia. I got dressed, tugged on his hand (he was confused but trusts that I won't lead him somewhere unsafe or untoward) to go outside and while I was unlocking the door he asked what we were doing.
I told him it's snowing outside, he asked me to show him the snow a day or two prior.
When I tell you this man was in an absolute state of euphoria when I opened the door, he was so childlike in his demeanor. He rushed back in to get his shoes and stood outside twirling in a circle and smiling.
Watching the snow hit his hair, face and clothes only to melt instantly was like seeing a preview of heaven that I'm not even sure exists.
We hugged in the snow, went inside to hug again and, laughing, he said, "Well dang, we can't break up, you showed me the snow!" and I said, "I showed you my snow, senpai, pls respond."
All in good, wholesome, cold fun.
I just wanted to provide wholesome and different content since we read a ton of stories about male people doing God knows what so often. And those people are not great, that doesn't diminish that at all.
It's just nice to talk about the bad and the good.
I am after builds for end game content that will get me out of being the Well of Radiance Warlock constantly. Itβs pretty boring and I am looking for something new to try out. Any suggestions would be great.
HOLY FUCKING HELL THOSE FINAL 3 CHAPTERS! Szeth vs Kaladin had to be one of the most intense moments I've ever had while experiencing fiction! I almost freaked out when Szeth cut Kaladin's arm, only thing keeping me from doing so was that Kaladin can use stormlight to heal is body so I just hoped and prayed! The fight was also anime as fuck so I liked that!
Wasn't expecting Tyn to be behind Jasnah's death despite her background and it was awesome to see Shallan use her shardblade finally!
I can't believe I took an almost 4 month break after finishing TWoK and reading part 1 of WoR despite me literally saying on this very sub that TWoK was the best introduction to a story I've ever came across especially now because of how good this was!
Also please don't worry I don't look at other posts on here I just post my own shit and read the replies. Saying this because people tell me not to browse this sub because of spoilers.
Is reading Warbreaker a requirement before I move onto Oathbringer or could I possibly save it for let's say around a year from now when I want to re-read the series? I just feel like doing both Warbreaker and Edgedancer might be a little much for me since I want to get to Oathbringer as soon as I possibly can and I know that Edgedancer is a requirement.
