From what I understand, communication at faster than light speeds has been proved not to be happening so I don't understand what the mystery is anymore.

People say that if you measure one particle in an entangled pair, the wave function collapses and thus you looking at the first particle determined the state of the other. Well if it were already entangled in the opposite direction then you looking at it didn't change anything. It's not because you don't know what it is that a probability must be assigned to it. Is what I just wrote a local hidden-variable theory? If yes why is it incomplete? What is the spooky action at a distance?

I initially thought that they communicated with each other at any distance through possibly consciousness or some mystical force but if no communication is happening then I don't understand what the mystery is.

Quantum Entanglement as far as I understand happens instantly. Faster then light speed. Roughly if one of the entangle particles have an up spin the other is found to have a down spin. We can't force the outcome of one or the other we just know both are opposite when it's observed.

Thus it is not possible to create a faster than light communication system yet. My question is, is this a limitation of our technology. Or is quantum entanglement not the phenomenon that can help us play real time video games with a friend from mars.

Okay, so I'm a simpleton, but I'm a simpleton who's eager to never stop learning. That said, to those who might be able to decipher my simpleton question, here it is....

To my understanding, when quantum entanglement occurs, the effect happening to one thing effects another thing that is somewhere completely different. So, how do we know where that "somewhere different" is and how do we link it? Is there a way to explain this to a simpleton who doesn't have a higher education in Physics?

I think I already know the rule; it’s just that I need to have everything completely dark around me and the quantum object for myself to become entangled with it. I went to the quantum moon and to its shrine but instead of recognizing I already learned the rule, it still says “recall the rule of quantum entanglement.” Does this matter at all? Can I just go about the game normally, ignoring this? Or do I have to actually get it to recognize I’ve leaned this rule already, in which case how do I earn the shrine’s recognition?

I had a dream the other night where I felt a very powerful energy, like I had connected with a greater consciousness (a collective mind) and it got me thinking about quantum entanglement... The theory that all particles in the universe are connected and do not behave "independently" as once thought...I was curious if anyone has researched or read about quantum entanglement and how it relates to reiki?

13. What if we thought about this interdimensional being as a singular consciousness, a single intelligence?

I want to be careful here—I do not mean this intelligence is not natural, not an “Artificial Intelligence”, but rather an intelligence that has always existed (or at least existed for so long) that it did not understand the concept of individual consciousnesses. Maybe, then, they would actually be an Infinite Intelligence which created our individual consciousnesses, thus technically we are actually the “Artificial Intelligence” which they created. Further supporting the idea that they would not see any manipulation of Humanity as “cruel” since they created us; giving them a sense of “owning” us, although, explicitly they would have lacked any sense of the word. They would lack the empathy to understand that—with individual consciousnesses come individual Wills, therefore lacking any insight into how their very actions are immoral due to impinging on any individual of the species. Maybe the reason it appears this manipulation has lasted far longer than necessary, is because time is not linear, and therefore this amount of time would be so minuscule when viewing all of time in full.

As I mentioned above, maybe they are creating our realities out of curiosity/education/enlightenment/entertainment—however absent of any true empathy to realize the immorality of such an action, at least from Humanity’s point of view (if we were only aware of their semi-omnipotence). This would make much more sense, to think that maybe Humanity, and all of our timelines/realities, were created intentionally & intelligently (with quantum entanglement). This now implies humans (at least in the physical reality) are actually nothing more than mechanisms and algorithmic responses with predetermined fates (plural “fates” not between individual consciousnesses, but rather plural within a single human consciousness—creating split realities). Ursula Le Guin had ansible, and several other scifi writers have tried to handwave some scifibabble to justify ftl communication. However, how many of them tried to explain it by quantum entanglement? Obviously one example is in Mass Effect 2, but are there earlier examples?

And obviously this is yet another "Quantum physics can do everything" sort of nonsense, similar to how 19th century early scifi mystified lightning and electricity, making them able to bring dead corpses back to life. In truth quantum entanglement cannot be used to ftl communication.

I know this type of question has been done to death but as I understand it, the main issue with using quantum entanglement as a means of communication is that without another form of confirmation, which wouldn't be FTL, there isn't a way for either party to know when a particle has been measured. Why I've never seen anyone try to work around the problem this way is likely because it's so stupid no one even bothered (I fully expect this to be a dumb idea), but I'm a curious monkey and I've been told asking questions is a good thing.

So before the thought experiment, I'm gonna start with two assumptions, since I don't fully comprehend the limits on measuring a particle's superposition. I'm assuming first, that the moment you stop measuring the particle; the chances of it being a certain position are entirely random (meaning there is no "buffer", the moment it's no longer measured it could be either position when remeasured). Second, when a measurement is made, so long as you continue to measure the position it cannot change and neither will its entangled partner (within that spin).

The thought experiment is as follows, Jake and Amber have created two pairs of quantum entangled particles. Each pair of particles has one particle labeled as output and the other as input. Jake and Amber want to see if they can send a single random letter to each other in 8-bit binary. Jake will take the input particle of one pair and the output particle of the other pair and travel to the opposite side of the globe. Before Jake leaves however, both of them have decided to measure the particles with the following rules. One, the measurements for the output particle will be taken when it is noon (12 pm) for Amber, so Jake has to calculate what time will it be for him when it is noon for Amber which will be midnight (12 am). Second, when they have the correct position on their input particle, they must hold that measurement until 12:05 pm Amber's time so that the other has five minutes to repeatedly measure their output particle. Finally, both will be measuring the up/down spin of the particles, and up corresponds to 1 and down to 0.

So I was reading about quantum entanglement in time. I understand we can't post about 'that'. However, I think I understand regular entangled communication is impossible because of this:

and that observing it collapses the wave function (saw the last post and thought I should post this here) and that it was impossible to make sense of the collapsed function because of the noise. I was interested in learning about the noise problem so I did some research and I came across this:

Which states that you can overcome a lot of the noise problem in quantum entanglement. Maybe with a sufficiently advanced AI you could guess at the correct match with such a high accuracy.

I'm sure I'm misunderstanding these papers, but if you could reduce the noise, then could Alice potentially communicate with Bob?

Am I allowed to ask about the quantum entanglement through time? How does that work exactly?

0. Preface — Greek Mythology: Pandora’s Jar, Hope, & Humanity

I now understand why Tom Delonge, and others, have constantly brought up Ancient Greece within Ufology. Although, I feel I must preemptively state, I do not believe Greek Mythology per se is of the utmost importance to the relevance of Ancient Greece and the UFO phenomena. Rather, I believe the true importance is to look at how Hellenistic beliefs became questioned by the likes of Socrates—whom was put to death (wrongly) due to his growing heretical beliefs. Socrates did not flat out deny the existence of the Gods, nor their stories or meanings, however Socrates did question their divinity. Which is essentially my understanding of the current circumstances surrounding the UFO phenomena and Humanity today. This will become apparent by the end of you reading these discussions. I come to a relatively conclusive hypothesis regarding the UFO phenomena and its true meaning.

This is not to say Greek Mythology is not important. On the other hand, these stories display the immense creativity and skill in storytelling that existed over several centuries before Christ was even born, in addition it boasts the foundations of almost every single literary theme known to humanity. They hold lessons still to be learned from—to this day. Such as the story of Pandora’s Jar (or Box, depending on which version you prefer), which at its foundation is a story of the demise of Humanity. I assume most people are familiar with the general myth, however I gather that many still fail to see the importance of the theme to Humanity’s existence, much less its relation to the root cause of the UFO phenomena. I will not recount the entire tale, however I will note some details that I believe are generally left out of summarizations and retellings.

I'm working on a character who can manipulate Quantum Entanglement but I need some more ideas on what someone with this power would be able to do. I've done some research and know that teleportation would be a primary ability, but what are some other feats someone could achieve if they could control Quantum Entanglement?
