A list of puns related to "Public Domain"
Hey all! For years I've been creating game assets for videogames but decided (well, got a lot of requests!) to start catering to board game designers too. You can download the icons here;

Let me know if you've got additional ideas or like to submit your own request, cheers!
Three new volumes published in 1926 replaced the 12th edition as a supplement to the 11th edition. The new volumes, together with the reprinted 11th edition, constituted the 13th edition. The new volumes were numbered 29 to 31, the 29th volume of the 11th edition becoming the 32nd volume of the 13th edition.
You can easily find PDFs of the 11th edition out there since it's been public domain since the 2000s, so with the addition of these three volumes, you can have the entire 1926 Britannica on your hard drive legally and free of charge!
The list of authors includes some pretty notable names like Albert Einstein, W.E.B. DuBois, Guglielmo Marconi, Leon Trotsky and George Eastman. This alone should cement its value as a historical record of opinion and expertise of the time period. It goes without saying that many of the views expressed in these old volumes are outdated, but if you're the kind of person who keeps Kiwix packages of Wikipedia around, this should be right up your alley.
Enjoy!
P.S. Thanks to everyone on this subreddit who helped me track down these PDFs!
The 13th edition of Encyclopedia Britannica was published in 1926 as a supplement in three volumes to the 11th edition and contained new articles and updated versions of older ones. It was also published as a full set, but the 3 supplemental volumes interest me more since you can download the 11th edition easily.
I've searched high and low and I've only managed to find Volume II, but I need the other two volumes. The fact that Volume II is out there increases the likelihood that there's already a scan of the entire edition floating around somewhere, and as of midnight last night, it just became legal!
Edit: I should mention that the 11th edition has been public domain for 15 years or so. Which is great! But it throws another wrench in my quest to find the 13th because most searches only turn up 11th edition files. :(
As Schoenberg passed away in 1951, his works are as of today in the public domain in both Austria and the US. I know serialism is kind of an aesthetic dividing line, but I'm really looking forward to what a new generation of composers will do with this material.

Duke University Law School has a Center for the Public Domain, where they track and discuss works (music, movies, and literature) which have entered the public domain since 2010.
In 2022, some notable works entering public domain are E.E. Milne's Winnie the Pooh, Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises, and T.E. Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom (later adapted as the film Lawrence of Arabia.)
Public domain works are relevant to fanfiction because they are generally free of copyright constraints. This means that creators *can* - if they wish - produce commercial works based on them. Even without sales, though, more works in the public domain mean the potential for more creativity, for everybody.
I encourage those here to check out the site, including their FAQ and articles such as "Why public domain matters."

For any one uninitiated:
ENS is an address which could be used for all the other addresses (& not just Ethereum) that you might work upon including all the major smart contract protocols.
In Dec 2021:
- .ETH registrations were 109k which are all Ethereum based (everyone registrations were made despite the high gas fees in L1)
-Almost all the Opensea Volume comes from these ENS domains (99%)
-A quarter of a million new owner of ENS domains
-Generated a revenue of close to $5.8m through new registrations and renew costs
Famous people also jumped into the wagon. Some of the notable names are:
Paris Hilton, Shaq, Drake, Vitalik and so on
This aids us into spreading awareness about Crypto to the general public and these numbers are highly in favor of us.
So, my girlfriend and I went to a psychologist in Chennai. Against a negative google review she disclosed private medical information in public domain as form of retaliation. Is this to be tried under consumer court for service provided or as a charges criminal? What should the approach be. I just read up on regulations under Indian Medical Council Regulations.
So what would happen when both characters become public domain? Can Marvel and Disney make Superman and Batman movies? Can any company create a movie/game with a Superman called Clark Kent with the same suit and same powers etc???
Happy Public Domain Day!
The plays on this list are now available to freely produce, perform, and adapt. Happy play making in 2022!

If I wanted to make an RPG based on, say, the Conan books, I'd need to negotiate with the owners of the copyright. But Peter Pan was published before 1927, and therefore is in the public domain - so anyone can make a Peter Pan RPG, yes? How about Tarzan, which was originally published before 1927, but for which some books came later and may still be under copywrite? Would it be legal to use content from books whose copyrights have expired, as long as I did not use any content from later books?
I know the internet is not the best place to answer a legal question, but perhaps someone here has already done some research here and is willing to share. Most of what I can find is about copywriting one's own RPG, not the use of other people's post-copyright-expiration content.
Thanks!
