What's the percent of damage increase from Jade Spear to Staff Of Homa? Is it actually worth it?
Advice and comments much appreciated
Im myself thinking fire
i am very armature with regards to math, so forgive my naivete or poor communication.
i kind of have a hobby of playing with prime numbers to see what patterns i can determine from them. i'll often figure something out and look it up to get a better understanding of the phenomenon. i previously stumbled across something and it seems that my google-fu is not helping me understand why it happens
what i have discovered is that, unless i have made a mistake, for any primorial Pβ# up to Pββ#, if the absolute value of the difference between Pβ# and a prime number is less than PβββββΒ² it is a prime number or 1.
i understand that the sum of co-prime numbers cannot contain each other's factors, but what i don't understand is why the difference can't be a multiple of a number greater than n. or did i make a mistake? does this pattern break down for values of n greater than 13? also it seems the pattern breaks down immediately for prime numbers with a difference greater than PβββββΒ²
Recently I was watching a youtube video in which Terence Tao was talking about prime gaps small and large. It got me thinking about the large prime gaps. He said that a large gap between prime numbers is just a long list of non-prime numbers. I'm guessing most of you have heard of taking the primorial of n (n#) and then using that to create a list {n# + 2, n# + 3, n# + 4, ..., n# + n} these numbers are all composite and cover a range of n - 1. The size of the numbers is about n#. He said that this means you can get prime gaps of size log(k) for numbers of about size k or more infinitely often using this. What I'm wondering is how he (or anyone) would go about calculating that. The reason I would like to know this is because I came up with a method to get gaps of size (n# + 1)# + n# + n - 1 where the numbers are about ((n# + 1)# + 1)#. I can see that this would be better than log(k) for about size k but beyond that, I don't know. I am aware that much bigger gaps relative to the numbers are probably known.
Any help on this would be appreciated, and please explain how I would go about calculating these formulas in general.
(EDIT: palordrolap pointed out that non-prime# is not clearly defined. I'm using the definition that 4# = 3# and for any non-prime# it is just the previous prime#)

It's obvious that for an integer n,
n! > n#
But is there an inequality relating in the other direction? Something like:
(n#)^x > n!
Where x is some number above 2.
I did this computationally, but I'm looking for a proof, if it exists. Any help will be much appreciated.

The gimping on the spine of the blade gives your thumb a comfortable position with full control of the knife.
Asking Price: $210 -> $200 -> $185 -> $175 SOLD
Thanks for looking.
I didn't see it in recent postings or in the thread directory, so let's count by primorials.
Next thread will be posted when this one reaches 100#.

First up the WE Primoris. It has black titanium handles and a grey stonewashed CPM 20CV blade. I got it at blade show west a couple weeks ago and it hasn't been used or carried. Edge is factory, centering is spot on, and no blade play. The handle and flipper tab locks your hand into position. The gimping on the spine of the blade gives your thumb a comfortable position with full control of the knife.
Asking Price: $210 -> $200 -> $185
Next is the Kizer Gemini. Im the first owner for this one. The edge was sharpened by myself and the blue from the hardware was removed except for one screw. Comes without box or papers. Centering is spot on on without blade play.
~~Gemini Price: $55 -> $50 -> $45 SOLD
Finally we have a set of carbonfiber scales for the mini bugout from Rogue Bladeworks. They have a blemish where the pocket clip sits but other than that there are like new.
Scales Price: $40 SOLD
Thanks for looking.
because of reasons, i noticed this morning that the primorial 210 = 2Γ3Γ5Γ7 is a product of two consecutive integers: 14Γ15. which got me wondering how often that happens. it works for:
then, skipping 2Γ3Γ5Γ7Γ11 = 2310 and 2Γ3Γ5Γ7Γ11Γ13 = 30030, which don't work, we have
question: are there any other primorials which are the product of two consecutive integers? (what about three or more consecutive integers?)

Stand Name : Primoris // Namesake : Theme song for The X-Files, "Materia Primoris" // Stand User : Primoris; known by the public as "Worm Man"
Primoris is a genetic monstrosity, being the result of countless experiments, wherein the user itself has now also become the stand. Billions upon billions of self-aware cells, acting as one complete being, it has the ability to absorb genetic information, and perfectly replicate that information.
Primoris secretes a thick and viscous slime, appearing and feeling like lubricant. The slime itself contains a mix of blank stem cells and something that can best be described as a "retrovirus"; the stem cells copy genetic information, and the "retrovirus" destroys the hosts cells, allowing for a complete copying and takeover of the victim. The slime can be absorbed through skin or ingested, and once its cells are inside of you, even an amount the size of a small coin, it begins the assimilation process. When this process is fully complete, a newly created Primoris takes over, effectively killing the host. The target can then be absorbed into Primoris's body, either to be used as food or to increase Primoris' biomass, or, the new Primoris can be used by the "main" Primoris. The largest center of biomass of Primoris can act as a hive mind, being able to control newfound biomass, able to change its body and attack with it as Primoris pleases. It has been known to throw slime at its targets, however Primoris can quickly dehydrate itself. It's thought that, if its body is of a person's average size, it can produce enough slime to fill a minivan before needing water.
Primoris is of humanoid stature, and though it's thought to have originally been a member of the great ape family, it's virtually unknowable at this point. In its neutral state, Primoris appears as a worm/human hybrid. Its skin is pale pink, and smooth all over.
Primoris is capable of unmaking its body into a sludge that can move freely. If it's hurt, it can amputate individual body parts and reform(losing biomass in the process). As long as even one cell remains, Primoris can survive, and continue to exist.
It has been known to create tentacles, a hardened carapace, insect wings, and more, owing to Primoris being an amalgamation.
The extent of Primoris' intelligence is unknown. Primoris is unable to talk outside of animalistic grunts and screeches, even people and animals who've been replicated make the same noises. However, it shows keen hunting instincts

Fiore doesnβt seem to show any unarmed strikes/boxing (one example linked that looks like it could be a strike with a fist or bag of something - maybe coins*), so how would someone trained like Fiore box?
Or what is the closest equivalent that could be studied alongside Fioreβs manual?
Do accounts talk of a system of unarmed striking along with wrestling or did people just brawl? (, which might give an idea)
Iβm sure itβs somewhere in between, historically, because not everyone was trained equally as well, if at all. J. Finleyβs book, Medieval Wrestling, mentions on page 6 that it is likely most people would have grown up wrestling given few other activities were available. And that knights were encouraged to wrestle/compete growing up. This makes me wonder if some people, whether knight or farmer, had even a small amount of training in striking, specifically. But probably not anywhere near how developed it is today.
And IIRC, some knights/scholars found/studied Roman manuscripts (I canβt remember where I read that, atm) so would they have known of Pugilatus? Iβm not even sure where to begin to look up what boxing would look like in Fioreβs time. Let alone, how to recreate/ study it, so Iβm asking here to find a place to begin. And to see if Primoris would be a good start.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Olamic 247 Wayfarer (A) - http://imgur.com/a/irXKoju
$415 LNIB. Bought from a friend who had it as a safe queen. M390 steel I believe. No COA but does come with original pouch. The grip texture is awesome in your hand, gold-colored hardware is sweet contrast with the black. Pristine, unused, lock is lovely to hear, and the action is smooth. For me, I wanted to feel a nice high-priced Olamic and my buddy gave me the opportunity. If you haven't tried an Olamic, try this one.
Spyderco Shaman M4 Micarta Scale (C) - https://imgur.com/a/4JpQiVS
$250 At least second owner. Aftermarket micarta scales, some wear on the micarta (by the clip), and some lock stick that prevent a clean drop when pressing the compression lock. Carried, but the blade looks excellent, no real visible wear, no damage. Centered, smooth action. But no drop close. It may need to be disassembled and cleaned/lubricated. Iβve seen a couple Spydercoβs with lock stick, and I am not sure if the previous owner disclosed it but here you go. If you want the G10 scales with this Iβll discount them further to $20. Original box, but the box is beat up.

Stand Name : Primoris
Namesake : Theme song for The X-Files, Materia Primoris
Stand User : Name unknown, called "Worm Man", as it looks like a humanoid worm hybrid
Primoris is the stand of a genetic monstrosity, being the results of countless experiments, wherein the user itself has now also become the stand. Billions upon billions of self-aware cells, acting as one complete being, it has the ability to absorb genetic information, and replicate that information to a T.
The slime that Primoris secretes is thick and viscous, appearing and feeling like lubricant. The slime itself contains blank stem cells and a sort of retrovirus; the stem cells copy genetic information, and the retrovirus destroys the hosts cells. The slime can be absorbed through skin or ingested, and once its cells are inside of you, even a few, it begins replicating and replacing your genetic information and cells. When the process is complete, a newly created Primoris takes over, killing the host. The target can then be absorbed into Primoris's body, either to be used as food or to increase Primoris' biomass. Primoris has been known to throw slime at its targets.
Primoris discerns whether or not to use a host as food or biomass. If biomass, it just absorbs the target. If food... Primoris's cells rupture and turns all available meat and fluid into a red paste, the skeleton still falling as the liquified remains hit the ground. It does technically self cannibalize in this way.
Primoris has been known, in dire situations, to adapt and create body parts of other animals, such as the carapace of a crab, or wolf jaws. However, these are extremely distorted versions of what was copied, still appearing as though it were smooth skin, still oozing slime.
Primoris is humanoid, and though it's thought to have once been a human, it's virtually unknowable at this point. In its neutral state, Primoris appears as a worm/human hybrid. Its skin is pale pink, and smooth all over. It constantly secretes slime, and can leave large trails and globs of it wherever it moves. It has been shown to outstretch its appendages, though how far it can stretch is determined by its biomass.
Primoris is capable of unmaking its body into a sludge that can move freely. If it's hurt, it can amputate individual body parts and reform, albeit with less biomass. At close range, Primoris can open its body to directly feed or replicate. As long as even one cell remains, Primoris can survive, and continue
