I am African-American and my boyfriend is Polish. ❀️❀️

Happy new year everybody! I really hope that this message finds you in great spirits and healthy and happy. I just started dating my best friend of the year. He pursued me very heavily and I haven’t been in a relationship and a long time. I am African-American and my love is from Szczecin Poland. We learn a lot from each other which is a lot of fun for both of us! I guess what I’m asking is how I can help him understand my culture and how I can understand his better. Right now I’m learning how to speak Polish which is so super hard but I know it’s going to be worth it. If anyone has any advice on how I can respect his culture more I would love to hear. He is just is dedicated to learning about my culture, although he is somewhat stubborn and his attitude about things that happen in my culture, he is quite passive about. But luckily I can say he is very open minded. Any advice on how we can have a mutual respect and love I would really love to hear. Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great new year!

Edit: I want to sincerely thank on behalf of my partner and I those who shared suggestions of reads, recipes and well wishes. We both really super appreciate it. He was really touched by the replies! Those who take issue with my lAbEl as African-American:That is quite a new term. About 35 years old coined by Reverend Jesse Jackson. But it makes you feel comfortable I consider myself a black American but I do not consider myself any less American! And I don’t consider Jakub less American just because he got here nine years ago. Shared the post with him and he was overjoyed. Receiving nothing but love from people from this community and I look forward to sharing my journey as well as commenting and giving insight on yours! Thank you so much again! The bun in our oven will have a deep understanding of both cultures! Thank you for so many of you contributed kindly

Working on a research paper on the differences between Polish people and Polish Americans

CzeΕ›Δ‡,

I am a Polish person(born in Poland, raised in America, but grew up speaking the language and participating in the culture, and active in Polish media) I am writing a research paper for my senior year in high school for a Sociology class. I just have some questions for both sides for the Polish people who live in Poland and the Polish-Americans or maybe even someone like me.

Here are some of the questions

  1. If you are Polish-American, how far down is your generations here in the USA, or if you are living in Poland are you solely Polish or are you mixed with another culture, and does this culture affect you.
  2. If you are Polish-American how does Polish culture affect ur everyday life, do you speak polish at home or do you do any Polish cultural things or celebrate Polish holidays or do you feel disconnected from Polish culture, Do you know much about the modern state of Poland?
  3. if you're Polish-American do you consider yourself Polish or more American
  4. If you are Polish, tell me one positive and one negative about the Polish culture and community and vice-versa if you're Polish-American
  5. If you are Polish, do you consider Polish-Americans Polish? Why or Why not?
  6. Does your family have intergenerational trauma based on Polish history and what we have went through, have you been personally affected by it.

DziΔ™kuje to everyone who answers the question,

Bra Brands with some missing Polish, UK, German, and Ukrainian & American brands, Comprehensive List in GG+, easy to purchase in US, Canada, UK, Australia. Hard-to-find Sizes.

Hi,

Hope this helps!!

I think u/no_visit_ made a good list, but there were some American, German, UK, Ukrainian, and Polish brands missing that are easily purchased in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, etc., and instead of adding this all in a comment, I just made a separate post.

Also, I made a distinction between underwired and non-underwired bras (aka, bralettes) in italics.

In particular, Ulla Desseous is a German brand (large cup/large band), and I know they are costly, but they are available in N. America, Australia, etc. and I've read a lot of good things about that brand. We think that Ulla also does custom, thanks u/DDtopX for the tip.

So, obviously, also the Polish brands are well-known for large cup, and they can easily be purchased in the US, Canada, Australia, Europe outside of Poland, so I don't think they should be excluded for GG+, because they are so easy to obtain outside of Poland, too and for many of them the sizing is pretty straight forward as well.

I also added Decent Exposures to the non-wired 26 bands, because I noticed there were some bras listed on bratabase for 26 bands and GG+ in that brand. They start at a 30 band, but then they also list "child sizes" and they are a custom-made brand, so I that's why I included the option.

Optifit is a UK brand. Helen Kukovski is a Ukrainian brand.

In addition, a redditer pointed out to me, Ortholinge.com makes large band/large cup bras that one can choose their band and choose their cup ("build your own bra") here is the link http://www.ortholinge.com/produits-liste.asp?NuC=32&Lng=5&DoC=Ortholinge&IdC=761&Categorie=

Update: American co, In Your Pants Intimates Bralettes that are custom made, XXS - 6X. These look really affordable and comfortable, and I totally want one now! Never heard of them, but look at these great de
