A list of puns related to "Physical Destruction Event"
All forms (or bodies) of ignorance have a natural tendency to eventually bring about their own inevitable destruction.
And yes, that even includes the 'human type'.
Those bodies of ignorance who we all refer to as 'people'.
You see the truth is, non of us are really 'people'.
We only 'think' that we are.
I mean, no one was ever born 'a person' (with a personality).
The truth is, we are all human beings.
We are all beings in human form.
And yes, your personality actually began to form as a direct result of all your previous experiences here in this existence.
In fact, your personality is actually a product of all of your past experiences.
Your personality is a body that consists mostly of impressions, beliefs, opinions, general hearsay, rumours, half truths, outright falsehoods, and yes, even the odd fact or two.
Your personality is a body of mostly 'ignorance' in other words.
Most of which is also highly contradictory.
Now, as we all go around basing our decision making process on this body of mostly ignorance.
It can hardly come as a surprise to see so many of us making as many mistakes as we do.
Those mistakes which then in turn require as many excuses, lies, and as much blaming as they do in order to effectively offset them.
I mean, GOD forbid that your 'deeply flawed personality' should ever be realised to be the real cause behind all of your mistakes.
After all, were that to be the case.
Well, then you might just decide to wake up and drop the long term 'masquerade'.
The screen of pretense.
And instead decide to go back to being entirely genuine once again.
Just as you were before you decided to put on the 'mantel of your personality' as a means of protecting yourself against the hurtful words and actions of those others who are also here in this existence.
Those others who are also foolishly masquerading as something that they are not.
Best wishes.
Andrew.

There is so much to talk about with the bridge collapse scene at the start of Final Destination 5. To this day, I donโt think that there is a physical destruction scene in any movie that I know of that beats it.
There are a few before/after breakdowns of the movieโs VFX on YouTube, but I feel like I need to give a play by play of some keys scenes of bridge destruction:
0:29 - Great - The start of the bridge break up - Great at establishing what we are up against/scale. The car falling into the opening. The pavement breaking up looks better the reveal-a-texture cracks that are so common. They have weight, but crumble in a way that shows the bridgeโs structure is the true boss.
1:01 - Good - The bus falls down into the water - The bus itself looks great in how it scratches over the edge. Always a good way to show that shit has hit the fan when something that your characters have been in for the past few minutes drops like a remote off a countertop. The person falling through the cabin is a wonderful/effective stunt as the bus interior is so familiar to many people.
1:30 - Great - The bridge creates an obstacle (infamous jumping guy didnโt make it stunt) - This is just the initial breaking scene on steroids. You could watch these short scene 10 times and see something new. The guys jumping (one not making it), the support flying off at the start, the absolutely excellent cgi of the road surface/rebar.
1:40 - Amazing - The zoom in on the bridge - This camera movement could compete with a Lord of the Rings movie in terms of how it shows characters amongst the environment round them. The live action background plates, the people running off in the distance, the subtle swaying of the bridge (the first time we really begin to see this), the slight camera shake that has been tracked to the main plate in the middle (which is perfectly integrated into the CGI, which is almost invisible); gives me goosebumps every time.
3:13 - Amazing - Section sags and barriers slide off - The floor moving beneath the characters is like the anti-star trek bridge wobble. Every scene involving the characters on unstable sections has a believable feel to them. And a shootout to the concrete barriers sliding off, as well as their sound design.
3:46 - Great - The boys jump to the railing - Wouldnโt notice that they were even wearing wires with these jumps. They are big
... keep reading on reddit โกI have found discussions on identity dysphoria in TV actors and those in similar fields, however this is different. I haven't found this discussed anywhere. I am defining "online roleplaying" as playing the role of a fictional character or alter-ego. When one's only means of social interaction is limited to a set of fictional characters of their creation (perhaps with other users participating as well), will it skew their lens of the real world or disturb their original identity? Could 10+ years of only interacting with people online through the lens of fictional characters have catastrophic effects on self-image or would the interaction with online users be a valid replacement? Could it stall the desire to seek meaningful physical relationships? Could it effect anything else? What happens if this occurs with someone who has obsessive fixations or this happens to someone at a very young age?
As the title states, many Hong Kong martial arts movies, particularly those by Chang Cheh and Lau Kar-leung, depict or allude to the destruction of the (Southern) Shaolin Temple by Qing forces, resulting in the dispersal of its disciples and the foundation of various schools of martial arts. However, I also read that there is no evidence substantiating either this temple or the sack ever existing. But the English language sources on this topic that I see on Google are non-academic. So I'm wondering if there's any scholarly examinations on where this myth of the Shaolin Temple came from? What role it played in the development of Chinese martial arts? Why it became so prominent in martial arts movies?
Hey guys, i remember the good old days of AOE3 when you could shoot of the wings of an Windmill and they would fall down physically correct in AOE 3 with your cannons. Watching the trailers of AOE4 I could not clearly make out if there is a similar physical destruction model for buildings. Can someone confirm if there is such a damage model? Wouldnt make much sense to have such a graphical setback for the more modern game.
Thanks!
Hopefully the title was fairly self-explanatory - I hear this phrase 'mutually assured destruction' a lot in regards to nuclear warfare & was wondering to what extent this phrase applies. Are modern nuclear bombs able to take out entire countries, or is it more on an economical/political level? Bonus question - what would happen to England if London were nuked?
During a random October night in 1998. Eight of the biggest names in wresting history all competed in the same night at the same time. It was truly a fantastic time for wrestling.

The phrase is used after some catastrophe has already happened and someone tries to fix something a bit too late. To try and give a better idea of the phraseโs usage Iโll try giving a contextual example. Letโs say you were meant to fix a shelf but kept putting it off till it fell and shattered all the glass cups it held, if you then tried to fix it you might get sarcastically asked โyouโre going to fix it now after the destruction of Malta?โ. What significance or relation (if any) does the destruction of Malta have to Syrians/Arabs? Was there an infamous event in history where Malta was significantly damaged/destroyed so that it became the source of a hyperbolic expression?
After some recent news about the potential fate of the 3 Event Cards that were excluded from SI Digital are going to be removed from the Physical Version on the game, I made a post and a poll to gather the thoughts from the community about such fate!
Either way it falls, I would appreciate any Spirit Island fan to check out this post and give your opinion!

It will look like we stand a fighting chance then weโll be overran and in the end we will lose resulting in the island being destroyed and chapter 3 starting
We are always destined to lose
The recent news of Redkite games working on Hogwarts Legacy has brought out a new hype in me. The main reason for this is because I've been playing a lot of the game "Control" lately. Redkite worked on Control, a "winner of over 80 awards", as well as being a "third-person action-adventure" game, which can also be used to describe Hogwarts Legacy.
Control has the most incredible destruction physics I've ever witnessed, as outside of the combat I'm usually spending my time seeing how I can break each individual draw off of a chest of draws, or break each individual leg off of a wooden chair. Aiding this, Control gives the player telekinesis, allowing mass destruction of everything the player can see.

Following the gameplay trailer for Hogwarts Legacy from years ago, we can see that the character uses "stupefy" on the pillars holding up the ceiling in order to bring it crashing down upon their enemies. The character also uses "expulso" to destroy the door in front of them. This is sort of similar to how the character in Control can 'shoot' a wave of telekinesis to destroy objects or enemies, as well as being able to pick up objects/ the ground with her mind and throw it at enemies.

We don't know exactly how long Redkite has worked on Hogwarts Legacy, but if they have implemented destruction physics similar to Control or even upgraded them (Control released in 2019), then you already KNOW the destruction physics are going to be fantastic. If Redkite is also helping out with the spells in the game, I'm confident combat will be great too!
Regardless of whether or not Redkite worked on the base game, I'm still really glad to see that two other studios are working together with Avalanche to make this game possible!
This is a quote from the November 2021 Watchtower article "How Strong Will Your Faith Be?"
This is intentional fear mongering in my view. As if life isn't stressful enough, these JW's walk around believing this rubbish. And the poor children who have this fear implanted in their developing minds.....
How does this borg get away with having charity status?

I think it's really interesting how often something like that happens. Final Fantasy has it's crystals, it's chocobo's and it's cids, but appereantly world destruction isn't very uncommon either.
... keep reading on reddit โกFor starters, I cannot remember most of my childhood. I can give a general idea of what I experienced, but I remember none of it. Some of the worse things I can remember, but they are usually a flash and go away like my brain has blocked it from me.
I know we were emotionally neglected, and experienced some physical abuse. But I only tend to get triggered by the concept of these events, and not the actual experience. It's like flashing back to something I am unable to remember, but I understand the gist or concept of it, if that makes sense? I feel like somehow I'm faking this because I can't remember much of anything. Is this a common or shared experience?
