A list of puns related to "Permeate"
Could this mean that the implication was that the story was trying to say that god gave the israelites food made out of pure life energy that was supposed to nourish them in the desert?
I do not follow Abrahamic religions but I find this connection fascinating.
Hello everyone... I know this is a prevalent topic in this community but I wanted to share a recent experience which highlights this topic.
Several weeks ago I interviewed for a leadership position (non-faculty) at a major private university in the southern US. Interview was with the director of the department and I felt it went really well (how many times have we all said THAT lol)... Anyways, I have been ghosted after not hearing back for nearly a month. Interviewer did give me her work number and email and I did try contacting her several times in the last 4-5 days to see if there is an update, but nope, no response.
I am honestly in shock because although the ghosting practice is very common for companies, I really did not expect this from an educational institution. I did manage to get in contact with another employee at the school and she told me that she believes this is actually official HR policy, which I just refuse to believe. How does a private university allow this? I know even major fortune 500 companies do this but I would expect a university to have more integrity. Anyways, nobodies safe i guess.
Hi, I recently built myself a new PC and chose a Noctua air cooler since I had been using an AIO in my previous build and wanted to mix things up a bit.
I understand both solutions are good and this is not a "water cooling vs air cooling" post, but one of the recurring arguments for air cooling seems to be that "you can basically use the same cooler forever".
However, I know one of the reasons AIO watercoolers have a limited longevity is because the liquid inside will permeate though the tubing and after years of use, there won't be enough liquid left inside the loop to effectively cool your CPU.
I also know that modern heat pipes are not plain copper rods, but rather a tube with liquid inside. So my question is:
Wouldn't the liquid within the rods permeate similarly to AIO coolers (albeit I assume at a slower rate) rendering the air cooler obsolete after a while? And if so, how long would it take?
Thanks!
PS: I've tried googling this topic but since permeation through the wick in heat pipes is part of the mechanism that makes the cooling work, I was not able to find anything about the liquid escaping the pipes altogether.
First of all , I have to say that I'm a pro LGTB person. I respect people's gender identity and try my best to learn about this collective's feelings and theories, but I've seen how progressivelly most of the community have oriented to an inmature predatory behaviour toward LGTB critical persons , denying their right to express their opinion and being banned from most social networks unfairly.
People don't seem to understand that they are brigading a collective just because it doesn't share their beliefs. Does it ring a bell? Yes , they have become what they swore to destroy , an horde of strong and stubborn people who raid the , now weaker in terms of number , LGTB critical people blocking them from sharing their ideas and punishing them as LGTB's were punished before.
I think most LGTB critical humans actually respect the persons inside the collective. They can think that much of the gender theory's precepts are invalid but they won't make a fuss for you being lesbian/gay/ trans/non binary or hurt you. That is mostly , a media stunt to make LGTB people more susceptible to be influentiable . Does it ring another bell? . Media using fear to manipulate the most influentiable collective is the same tool that most authoritarian regimes used to controll their society. I also understand that , to make more critical persons accept LGTB community , mainstream media has to be made for reaching them , but , Is it necessary to shovel this theme in almost everything? Don't forget that they also raid every LGTB critical media source to silence them.
Most of the collective thinks that not following their precepts is being an enemy , and that , ironically , is causing the critical people to be more defensive about not accepting their precepts. Hate speech won't make them reach more people , it will just make feel more powerful as their ego bloats.
As in everything in life , the powerful uses us as pawns on their useless battle for feeding their ego and pockets
You are not an a**hole who deserves to be banned of social networks just for sharing your opinions or beliefs about the dogma's of the majority collective. You deserve the same respect as them and have the right of following your own thoughts as the human you are. Social networks should stop clearly favouring this type of predatory behaviour as they will use the lamest excuse to ban groups of people who are against their obviouslly lefty politics. Isn't this exactly the same 'Incitement to hatred' and 'spr

The ruling class (corporate elite/government 'leaders') know we're expendable and if we refuse to work into their shitty scheme, someone else (usually younger) in our families and in a naturally more naive and not yet demoralized mindset will take that terrible scam job that will eventually lead to their own subsequent demoralization and by extension will have further assisted in the destruction of the ecosystem.
When enough of the native population catches onto the severity of this one-sided 'deal', and attempts to resist this scheme, arguing for better standards and more importantly, for the care of our planet, the ruling class simply turns to those in an even deeper state of desperation to do their bidding, and for the time being those are migrants, as robots/AI have not yet fully replaced human function. There's nothing wrong with migrants as migration is human nature when given less than ideal circumstances. The problem arises when migrants are used as a replacement for those demanding better economic/ecological terms, allowing the ruling class to continue their destructive exploitative behavior and undermining the fight against economic/ecological terrorism.
I think people in r/collapse mostly have realized that the WHOLE THING is a scam, so any hope you retain for a strike or collective revolt will prove fruitless, as we all have SO LITTLE STORED RESOURCES to win the battle.
It's like the modern legal system, its designed to benefit the wealthy/corporate elite. They don't win because they're ethically/morally right, they win because they've stockpiled more resources and can outlast you.
The winner is the party that can outlast you and write history, not the people that by design stuggle to maintain the little resources they have and that will freeze/starve long before the dragons on their mountains of gold.

If a lone ship sends out an SOS signal, another ship miles away can suddenly pick up on the signal and come to its rescue.
It's amazing that it can be sent everywhere in a given area and someone can pick it up. In my mind it's like finding a needle in a haystack, except the entire haystack is made of needles.
Does a radio wave have a physical property? How is it able to produce such a pervasive signal?

I love Keeper of the Lost Cities. It's my favourite fantasy series. I find it creative and exciting and addictive. However, I've always felt that something was missing from the world Shannon has built. It was only after a second readthrough that I realized what was missing...
There is absolutely no mention of religion.
Not every fantasy series has a distinct religious institution, but most will have some form of belief underlying the realm. It can be as obvious as in The Chronicles of Narnia, or subtle like in Unwanteds. And yet, even with the brief mention of the Prime Sources, Keeper has no interpretation of belief or faith. It has advanced technology and social conflict, but nothing on a spiritual level.
It can be scary introducing faith to a series, as a writer risks losing readers. However, for the sake of depth, the creation of a world is doomed to a sense of vacancy when one leaves characters without a belief beyond them. It can be in the gods, in a God, in aliens, in sentient nature, in the seen and unseen, in natural forces - it can be a creative or as simplistic as the writer wants!
It's a shame Shannon has yet to divulge the faith of the Elves - or any of the species, for that matter. Perhaps I've missed a comment here or there, and this is obvious to everyone else, but there's no sense of spiritual devotion in any of the books.
There's potential, too, with the Prime Sources. Maybe the Elves worship the stars! Maybe they believe the stars are alive, and the energy they use is a gift of the gods! Maybe the stars are aliens! Something, anything, Shannon, give us more.
Okay, short rant over. Anyone else gotten this feeling before? How would you integrate religion into the series? Would you use it as a backdrop, something briefly mentioned, or would it have a greater control over the characters' lives?
Here are some numbers to back up my usage of the word "majority".

Discrimination exists and it's horrific. It should be ended. I believe in equality for everyone. The point at large is not about discrimination itself but how people in power (white fundigelicals) want to be part of a persecuted minority so badly.
Here's a test to find out if you're part of a persecuted minority, fundigelicals. Did your rights or existence as an American citizen come about due to a constitutional amendment, Supreme Court decision or legislative act? If the answer is no, you're not part of a persecuted minority.
And, yet, they see persecution everywhere. My uncle messaged me recently and he had the same smooth-brained take my mom did when I had gotten accepted into grad school. Thought that I was getting involved into an explicitly "anti-Christian" field. He dead-ass used the term "cult of science" when I told him I wanted to go into psychiatry because I wanna help people and I find cognitive-emotional processing fascinating and I wanna learn more about it. Guess what he said next. He said he'll pray for me. I didn't respond but my immediate thought was "tell me you're in the Q Anon cult without telling me you're in the Q Anon cult."
I know therapy often isn't cheap and the therapists are providing a service, so they're getting paid for it; I get that. However, it really says a lot that they think people who spend their lives helping people have a hidden agenda. To me, it's projection since Christian relationships are often highly transactional. They view everything through that lens.
It isn't persecution, tho. There is not an entire industry looking to "brainwash" people. I really think that, because they live in a bubble, the Q cultists think people who genuinely care about mental health want to deprogram them.
There's an entire trilogy of well-known shitty Pure Flix movies built on a foundation of the Christian persecution myth.
There are fundigelicals who will rattle off lists of people they're hated by and wear it like a badge of honor.
I'm seeing this shit and sitting there wondering if they'll ever have that moment of introspection where they think about why so many groups of people supposedly hate them.
Anybody else fucking sick of the Christian persecution narrative? Did you believe in it at one point? Has it disrupted your life in an

So, the image we perceive is merely a mentally manifested reflection of Self!
I usually hear it when people talk about what itβs like to live with a disability, disorder, or something similar.
All I can think of is multifaceted and transcendental but those donβt really work.
The translation for the word "Permeates" in Korean is: "μ€λ©°λ€λ€". However can this word be used the same way it's used in English? In that, the word "Permeates" usually refers to liquids, but it can also refer to other things as well.
For example: "This kind of culture Permeates our society"
Can the word "μ€λ©°" be used in that kind of context as well?
So for example: "μ΄λ° λ¬Ένκ° μ°λ¦¬ μ¬νμ μ€λ©°μ μλ€".
If it doesn't work in that context, what should I use as a word for "Permeates"
Thank you!
Iβm honestly tired of everything. Iβm tired of hauling myself out of bed to go to uni just so I get a job in the future to survive. My mum will ask me everyday βare you studying?β and Iβm sick of it. I wonβt be studying every second of every hour, itβs just insane to expect that from me. I know she cares but it just becomes so suffocating. Honestly just want to rot in my room sometimes but I know Iβd get sick of that eventually. Anyways, I never want to possibly subject an innocent being to such a menial existence and itβs one of the few things that brings me comfort
