I am mechanical engineer graduate who graduated with a Master Degree on May 2017 from a non Canadian University. I have been working for exactly 4 years and 5 months and still going.
I have applied for immigration to Canada and have been invited to apply for Permenant Residence. So I am somehow expected to move to Canada somewhere in between 6 months to a year.
I heard that applying for a Professional License in Ontario takes a long time due to slow working and Covid. So I am thought of applying from now to not waste any time.
But I am a little lost, I thought I understood everything at first when applying but the PEO kept sending mixed messages. First being that I need 5 years work expereince to qualify with 1 year being in Canada due to having a degree from a non Canadian university, but in the second email I recieved that every requirement has been met and you can pay the fees to start processing your application. I tried mailing back back but it takes a whole month to get a reply and their replies are vague and don't really answer my questions most of the time. I am afraid of paying now to later tell me that I am not eligible and I would have paid 400$ for nothing.
So is there anyone you gone through this process to help me out and answer my questions?

Hi all,
I am a recent Chemical and Petroleum Engineering graduate from the University of Calgary. I do not have any internship or full time working experience. I am planning to move to Ontario and was recommended to get βEIT licensure from PEO.
I emailed my credentials and application the peng email. This process took 2 months. Now they replied me to pay 400$ and they will again review my academic qualifications again taking 13 weeks.
Question is, do I have to take the PPE exam as well? Do you think it's worth procuring that EIT license, if it's from a point of getting a job?
