A list of puns related to "Paramount"
I just finished watching all of The Orville episodes. I was surprised at how the show started off really good, and got even better.
As I stated in another forum: I think it is clear that Seth MacFarlane could help produce, help write, and possible appear in a very good Star Trek movie. He understands what makes Star Trek special. I think he appeared in at least two episodes of Star Trek Enterprise.
In my opinion, he has done more for Star Trek, by creating positive comparisons, than anyone Paramount currently has working it.
However, with the Orville being such a good show, he might not be interested in a crossover ever.
6-7 ads in-between the first Colbert segment after the monologue. You can fast forward but they're still ads with a little mini screen that's showing the band play.
Fucking disgusting.
Edit: I should clarify slightly. The ads are literally "part of" the late show. They're not necessarily embedded within the Paramount Plus app but part of the show itself. They'll play the band on a little screen while seven commercials run for a few minutes that you can thankfully fast forward through. This is still definitely a Paramount plus decision and it's terrible.

After reading this recent post about Sister Rasband's purportedly inspiring story of obedience to Nelson and listening to Bill Reel's recent discussion of the church's teaching that feelings=the Holy Ghost that can teach you otherwise unknowable truths, something clicked for me.
You cannot have the teaching that feelings are an external, omniscient being telling you things without also having an actual, real external authority moderating that teaching. Otherwise you get chaos, because feelings are not a good way of determining what is true in the world. There is a small percentage of Mormons who take the Holy Ghost idea to an extreme and place it over the modulating influence of the prophet, and then you get the crazy stuff like the Daybells or the Julie Rowes and whatnot.
If the Holy Ghost were really a thing, the church wouldn't need an actual real live external authority to tell people what to do. Why would that be needed? But because there is no ghost whispering to people's hearts, and because the church doesn't teach an effective model of learning and determining whether something is true or not, we need someone at the top holding it all together.
From the title, I donโt think I have to reiterate how much I love this show. Iโve always been a casual Trek fan. The only other series I binged was Enterpriseโyeah, I know. But it was my jam and my favorite, until now. I figured I would like Discovery. The production value looked top notch, so I figured it was worth a go. I never dreamed that I would love the show this much. This is some excellent television. Many of the episodes could stand up against some theatrical releases. I also never expected to get so emotional while watching it. Sonequa is an amazing actor. She cries on a whim, and I chime in right behind her just about every time.
So Iโm caught up as of half an hour ago. I know that the show will live rent-free in my head for weeks, and Iโm ok with that. I always get that way after bingeing a show. Now I have to wait until February for a new episode. Iโm going to hit up Picard next, but Iโll sure miss my Discovery crew in the meantime. Theyโre like family to me now.
