A list of puns related to "Oxford Shoe"
Hi all,
The last few years I've been churning through random pairs of professional work shoes (Florsheim, Ben Sherman) and I think I'm finally ready to pay a decent amount of money for a good pair.
I've always been hesitant to buy a good pair because I spent $250 or so on a pair of Aquila shoes that absolutely destroyed my feet. I know Aquila aren't the gold standard in quality or anything but just sharing my experience.
Any recommendations? Would be better if I could try in store or use a company with a lax return policy. Cheers.
I love these from Aldo but they donβt have my size https://www.aldoshoes.com/us/en_US/women/ibaeviel-brown/p/13198190?utm_kxconfid=t4sdd53f2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwfyMz-2f8wIVCq7ICh2c2AqNEAQYAyABEgL41fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds?utm_kxconfid=t4sdd53f2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwfyMz-2f8wIVCq7ICh2c2AqNEAQYAyABEgL41fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Iβve searched a lot of other sites and think I found a pair I like but Iβm so picky about the color, texture, style, etc so looking for any other recommendations
Now I've legally ordered all my Soldiers to buy These no later than COB Friday.
Don't blame me, blame the higher ups.

I've posted several custom patinas in the past, but lately I've enjoyed bringing vintage shoes back to life. This latest pair of AE Belgiums were picked up from an estate sale. They're from 1990 and made of corrected grain leather, and I don't think they had ever seen a shoe tree before, as they were severely creased and wrinkled.
I walk through my high level process in the imgur gallery, but please let me know if you have any questions on my methods or products used.
Thanks!
Hello all! album first of course
I love my horse hide bounty hunters, but I wanted a shoe for summer and for office work. I really like the oxford Whites offers but I wanted a different leather, enter Baker's!
Details:
Custom Baker's Oxford by White's Boots Leather: Brown Bull Hide Hardware: All Brass Eyes Edge: Brown Sole: Unit Vibram Lug Size - Length: 11 Size-Width: EE
The fit is great! They're definitely heavy but comfortable to walk around in, the brown bull hide texture is wonderful and exactly what I was looking for. I went with the vibram lug sole over the wedge like sole that was standard mainly for aesthetic reasons.
Time line was very reasonable considering the state of the world, order placed May 12 and arrived today June 23.
Overall very pleased with my new acquisition :)
Looking for a pair of black oxfords that I'll wear everyday for work, and my budget is $250.
As a broke college student, I do not have the cash to splash on Allen Edmonds. I also am confused on which lower-brand oxfords to purchase. Wondering if anybody had any advice. I would like to not spend $100 or lower. I look on Nordstorm rack's website and see numerous options.
I guess I just feel a little overwhelmed with all of the brands and price points. I was wondering what everyone's choice for a decent lower priced oxford would be. I'm not going to be wearing them all that often. Mostly for interviews/job fair, so I'm okay with it only lasting a year or two. Black or Brown is fine with me.
Thanks.

This shoe was part of Miloh Shop's ( /u/grizzly_giant ) recent multiple release which included 3 brand new makeups and quite a few core styles. I almost missed out on picking up this pair but I'm so glad I did coz these are just awesome! Only recently, I had picked up the color 4 boots from miloh shop and was waiting for them to restock the mushroom chamois boots which as per my conversation with Kevin was coming up in mid May and I had made up my mind to wait for those to be my next viberg purchase. Once he told me that would just be a pre-order and that actual stock would be coming in later, I didn't waste any more time!
Specifications
Viberg 145 Oxford | Horween crust cxl | 2030 last | Size 10 | Perforated cap-toe | 5 brass eyelets | Unstructured toe box | Antique mid-sole | Commando out-sole | Dual colored stitchdown construction | Gusseted tongue | Brown leather laces and dark brown waxed laces
I pulled the trigger immediately after my conversation with Kevin and got a shipping notification email exactly 13 minutes after the order confirmation. First I thought it might be a mistake or maybe just the fact that the E-shipping label had been created but the shoes were actually being readied to ship! Truly brilliant and express service! The package arrived in exactly 4 days all the way to India from Canada! I cannot applaud Miloh Shop for their brilliant service enough!
Speaking of brilliant service, Kevin's sizing advice was bang on with this makeup. My color 4 horsebutt service boots also on the 2030 last were a 10.5 and fit perfectly. However, after listening to my detailed fit experience over a few messages he advised me to go with a size 10 as this makeup runs a little long. He also mentioned that due to the absence of a shaft, the size 10 would work better and it was the perfect fit. I guess I'm good for both the 10 and 10.5 on the 2030 last depending on the makeup or leather. Its not unusual though as I've heard a few more people have the same experience. For reference, I'm 11 on the brannock, 11 in Truman boots and 11 in Nike sneakers.
This is one of the most unique makeups I've seen on the viberg 145 oxford model and this was one of the main reasons for me picking up these shoes. Viberg derbies as they are more popularly known usually have a plain toe, dainite sole and are made on the 1035 last. T
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello guys,
I recent purchased the Hello Kitty 1461 quad Oxford platforms on sale ( got them for only 190 CAD after tax ). I got them in a size 5, however they're a bit loose. It's only slightly, when I walk they "slip" a bit. I'm hesitant to return or exchange them as they're sold out in most sizes and I don't want to end up paying full price for them. Does anyone else own these and know if they stretch and I should buy the next size down. Or is it fine to just wear thicker socks.
Price: $53.55
Retailer: Amazon.ca
Amazon has almost a full size run of these Rockport Men's Charles Road Plain Toe Oxford Shoe on sale right now for $53.50 or so. All time low, usually around $100 a pair. Looks great for a go-to basic dress shoe.

What's the most budget friendly, while still looking quite nice Oxford dress shoe?
I don't need to wear these for my job, so only wear for formal events which aren't too common.
