A list of puns related to "Overall Majority"
https://twitter.com/jmeredith96/status/1476470614588149762?s=21 Worth asking and something I'd genuinely like to hear an answer on if anyone can. As FPTP's supposed legitimacy comes up a lot but I've never heard a good answer. At any rate, happy new year all and here's hoping Labour adopts PR in 2022
Hi, I'm a 24 year old male and I live in the US. I want to discuss some of my feelings on here to see if anyone else has figured out anything that helped them recover from this type of mindset
Most of the advice I've found on the internet is geared toward letting go of irrational or unhelpful beliefs, but when I examine my beliefs, I sort of feel like my fears are rational, but at the same time my lack of good relationships and lack of ability to form those relationships is not something I want to stay with me as I move through life. The two main hangups I have that frustrate me are:
In a job whether or not you get cut or whether or not you get a promotion mostly depends on how you make people feel when you interact with them. In order to be alive, you either have to be bold enough to walk into a job interview and not drive the interviewer away, or at the very least if you're homeless, being able to successfully carry out an interaction makes the difference whether you eat or not. And whether your marriage/family falls apart depends a lot on what you say, and how you say it.
No matter what walk of life we are in, we are judged like crazy, and the ultimate penalty is to fall into poverty and possibly starve to death or get killed on the street. This is a true fact, and yet I'm supposed to ignore it and rationalize (afffirm) that I am actually perfectly safe? How is anyone comfortable being candid or honest?
And then there's the fact that saying the wrong thing can lead some people to physical violence, you never know if the interaction is going to lead to emotional abuse, you never know if you're going to be manipulated. And while most people aren't going to do those things, people who do do those things are far from rare.
For me I find that most people I end up interacting rejecting or distancing me over some part of me they find weird or taboo, regardless of if the thing is perfectly innocent, or basically none of their business. Sometimes they think I'm too quiet and they start calling me a psycho, but if I talk too much "I get it you're gay but you don't have to be so flamboyant geez," they find out I majored in jazz music? nerd alert. steer clear. If my car looks messy that's it for some people. If don't dress up enough that's it for some people. If I dress up too much that's it for some people.
In college I had two friend group
... keep reading on reddit β‘As far as I've seen, most players still say that Superior firepower is the meta/best doctrine (especially for 7/2 divisions), but I'm failing to see why.
Even if you are not going to use tanks, the first 2 researches of Mobile warfare give you +15 organisation and +10% division speed. Then if you choose "Mobile infantry" and "Modern blitzkrieg", you can get an additional +30 division organisation, which is massive imo. If you decide to use motorised, you get an additional +15 organisation on top of that, whilst if you go with tanks you get massive amounts of breakthrough.
If you choose Superior firepower, however, you get at the start only the +10 organisation, which is also for Leg infantry only. "Dispersed support" is practically useless afaik and "Integrated support" gives you organisation just for support companies, which means that you can still lose organisation overall when you put them on division templates. The only benefits I could see with Superior firepower is that you get +10% defence and +10% attack at the start and then maybe the slight boosts in soft attack and organisation if you choose "Shock and awe" or the +20% Air superiority if you go "Airland battle".
But even if those buffs are considered, to me it still looks like Mobile warfare is vastly superior, so I struggle to see why some people still call it "the meta" or a "no brainer". Am I missing something?
The current gameplay flow has really not been quite enjoyable for a while.
Instead of trying to balance the classic gameplay which was mind gaming, looping, etc it feels BHVR instead has chosen to add band-aid fixes to the issues.
You also you felt more bravery on survivor sides where healing wasnt as common as people would rather stick to gens injured running perks like DH, IW and resilience. But now everyone will bring medkits, CoH (circle of healing), and start to heal the second the killer is no longer on them.
Playing DBD vs back then feel like 2 completely different games
I just miss the classic gameplay
survivors are not allowed to loop cause almost every killer punishes you for it. Trying to play a loopable killer like Ghostface, legion, and Pig is next to impossible in some cases as people will just hold forward for minutes straight.
People no longer treat good tiles like killershack with "respect" you will have games where people will just shift W and already drop it at 5 gens and the worst part is you cant really blame them for doing so.
I've seen many CCs talk about this issue but BHVR hasn't really shown any signs of making chases feel more interactive again and I doubt they will.
The game just doesn't feel the same anymore :/
I seriously wonder what this game will look like next year, I assume more anti loop will be added, low mobility killers will struggle and everyone will just hold W and pre-drop every match.
Chases was once one of the most interesting and interactive aspects of the game, now it's just whatever....
Obviously people in the Reddit hate 2042 or aspects about it (specialists, no classes, no defib as gadget, etc.) but is this the overall attitude towards the game on a wider scale? I personally have not seen or heard a single person praise the game. Every YouTuber and streamer I've watched play the game thinks it's aweful, or mediocre at best. Even JackFrags seemed to have a "meh" attitude towards the game.
From what I have seen, the answer changes based on who you ask, what sub you're on, or whatever other forum you look at but is there a way to verify this? Are there any reliable numbers on the subject?
Anytime I think that we live in world surrounded by religious people (corrupted minds), I think to my self how wide of a spectrum our brains really contain and it almost feels like we are two different species. The movie Idiocracy staring Luke Wilson comes to mind, though the movie is an exaggeration. I understand how cruel this sounds but that's how it feels. And then I think of the accomplishments and beauty and potential of humanity and it brightens my mood. But then I realize we will probably never reach the heights we are capable of, and its saddening. Does any one feel this? And predictions or positive outlooks for humanitys future? Or just more of the same....
