Can a local explain to me what the winter weather feels like in Ireland right . What kind of coat/rain coat/outwear should I bring?
I'm a newish carpenter prepping for my first winter working outdoors in Minnesota. It's been pretty rough so far with what I've been wearing in these low/mid 20s temps (and it's only gonna get colder), and I need some warmer gear-- mostly warmer bibs and boots. I've been googling and reading reviews, but does anyone have any gear they like that really works? I run VERY cold so i really have to insulate myself lol.
Are carhartt's insulated/quilted bibs any good? Any other suggestions for warm semi-waterproof bottom layers?
Any warm safety-toe work boots you like? Or other solutions to cold feet besides toe warmers? I usually wear a keen work boot, but they don't have any winter-rated insulated options.

I’ll have a thermal layer and fleece / sweater layer underneath too,do you think this will be sufficient to deal with the wind and rain? I’ll be getting some waterproof pants and waterproof boots to complete the ensemble.
