A list of puns related to "Nintendo Network"
I'm actually in shock. Go take a look at their documentation: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-Switch/How-to-Set-Up-a-Router-s-Port-Forwarding-for-a-Nintendo-Switch-Console-1498000.html?fbclid=IwAR2s6msMZoCyBJ4Y2E7kNyM_XFB84q3oYSG2cZ_k7wl_LMFyuiOYytcBLpY
17. Within the port range, enter the starting port and the ending port to forward. For the Nintendo Switch console, this is ports 1 through 65535.
Why on earth would every single port need to be open?!

I want to change my Nintendo Network Id and I don't know if I will lose my digital games
I tried linking my Nintendo network I'd to my Nintendo account but it said my Nintendo network I'd was to young, someone help!
I bought super mario world on my 2ds xl with my wii u account linked with it i thought i would get it on my wii u aswell is this right or am i wrong
Think about it, they're easy to port, they've already anniversary'd the other 2 major MM series on Switch, and finding original copies of all the games is like panning for gold in some cases, we're WAY overdue for a collection.
I have a Switch that is about the same age as the lockdown in the US, and the network died on it. Not just slow or buggy or inconsistent, straight up died. No wifi networks listed and I live in the heart of Chicago where I should see dozens of networks. I bought an OLED Switch to replace it, and the dock has a built in LAN. That, also, does not work with this Switch.
Most of it is really no big deal. I've called Nintendo and they offer to take my money to repair it with no guarantee it will be fixed or my game saves will be available afterward. Also when I talked to them, they said they did not see any backup on their system to do an island restore.
The real kick in the teeth is that for a small window it came back on after going in and out of airplane mode and let me move my user over to the OLED. That's great, and helped a ton. The problem is that the Animal Crossing Island wasn't included in that, and although I swear I had the island back up on, Nintendo doesn't see any backups on the system at all so I can't restore that island.
I know the combat piracy they do some sort of key hash that is unique to each system, which is fine. But does anyone have some thoughts about how I could go about getting that Island off the old Switch and onto the new one? I'd hate to lose the 900+ hours I have toward my island, it would sort of crush me. So far it seems pretty helpless and the island is just gone and I have no more will to play at all, but if anyone could help I'd love you forever.
I have tried contacting Nintendo support who want the Nintendo account user id itβs registered with but unfortunately I donβt know what it is since itβs likely the same email address, the 3ds is no help here either since requesting a new password sends a email to the address Iβve forgotten and user information settings requires said password.
Iβm sort of stuck in a loop here so any suggestions are welcome.

I have tried to link my Nintendo network ID with my Nintendo account and it says the date of birth is wrong even though they are the same if anyone knows what to do please help.
For starters, I understand little to nothing about networking. Just enough to be a decent asset troubleshooting, too little to understand this black magic. I've called for troubleshooting both on the router(new one sent over warranty) and the AI prime. Both the AI Prime and Switch identify other networks nearby. Phones, computers, and TVs have had no issue identifying the network. And that's about all of the relevant information I can think to give off hand. Any ideas?
The other day I had noticed there seemed to be a significant degradation of performance while playing PokΓ©mon: Unite on the Nintendo Switch (docked). I decided to investigate and came up with a few solutions that seemed to have improved my games performance.
Networking: Analyzing packet data ::
My first hypothesis was that this was causation from network issues. Nintendo hasn't publicized or addressed the attack surface exposure you get when having to expose - ports 1:65535 (UDP), or suggesting DMZ mode. Lately I have been attempting to apply a "zero-trust" network policy where essentially you lock down everything you don't need. Since there wasn't any public available data, and limited/discreet tribal knowledge circulating -- I decided to attempt to isolate necessary servers, and do packet analysis via router logs and Wireshark, for finding -- IPs/subnets/CIDR + protocols -- to establish definite firewall rules for. Here's what I've gathered so far:
^(NOTE: I'm still working on analyzing the UDP data, but got bored and wanted to just play the game, but I will update that later. I remember I was having to analyze my logs right after character launch screen, and there was usually a port between 6000-6750 UDP i would have to open really quick lol.)
Service Description: | Destination (CIDR format): | Port(s) | Protocol |
---|---|---|---|
Connect through Switch's network settings test. | <find your WAN gateway IP from ISP, the use ARIN.net to search for it's CIDR subnet> | 80 | TCP |
Basic DNS (DO53) | 8.8.8.8 , 8.8.4.4, 208.67.220.220, 1.1.1.1, 9.9.9.9 (whatever you prefer) | 53 | UDP |
ACEVILLEPTELTD-SG (Qtencent.com). | 101.32.118.0/23 | 8013 | TCP |
Tencent-NET (China) | 211.152.0.0/15 | 80 | TCP |
ACEVILLEPTELTD-SG (Hong Kong, China) | 101.32.0.0 | 443 | TCP |
TENCENT-NET-AP-CN | 170.106.0.0/16 | 10000:10001 (i do 10000:10500 since it changes sometimes by just a bit). | TCP |
ACEVILLEPTELTD (Qtencent.com) | 101.32.0.0/16 | 10000:10001 (i do 10000:10500 since it changes sometimes by just a bit). | TCP |
MSFT | 20.48.0.0/12 | 8080 , 8085 | TCP |
MSFT | 20.64.0.0/10 | 50000 | TCP |
QTENCENT (servers in different regions, this one is important it seems like for most of services past logging in). Note you could also just do 0.0.0.0/0 for all CIDRs going out on 10000 UDP since this one seems consistent. | 43.128.0.0/12 , 94.74.64.0/18 , 16 |
I bought a used Wii U that already came with some downloaded games, however there was no Nintendo Network ID linked to the user. I was wondering if I link a nintendo network id to that user, would I lose my games? (I also don't have the Wii U box nor any contact with the seller)
I went to the website to register my Nintendo Switch. I was able to connect to the network (CP-IoT-Secure), but as soon as I try to join an online game in Mario Kart, it doesn't allow me to. Any help or thoughts?
All signs are pointing to it; Miiverse shutting down, SMM servers shutting down, the 3DS manufacturing being stopped, etc. The end is near!

I think a lot of people have been playing it online, but I would prefer to play it hand held like I did back in the day.
Do I just need to buy an older gameboy and play it like that?
