A list of puns related to "Night Bus Service"
I read somewhere that on Sunday nights, there was a bus that operated at 6:30pm to 12:30pm going from the university centre all around Guelph. It was run by the CSA. Does anyone know if itβs still operating?
I basically rely on 11pm buses to get me home from work when I'm on the evening shift. Got out sightly late and missed the bus I usually get. A bus that wasn't in service parked at the bus stop and asked where I was going to, and was nice enough to drop me close enough to the town centre so I was able to make my connection on time. Nice guy.
I decided I was going to take the night bus to work today, seeing as it's New Year's Eve and we'd be closing early. I live near Forest Hill and I open up in Scarborough at 6h30, so I left the house at 4h00 just in case I ran in to any delays.
I used the TTC app, which was very useful, although I had plotted out a route online before-hand. In all it took me 1 1/2 hours to get to work, though the app said it should have been 1h20m. Close enough, I figure.
Because of where I live versus where I work, I had to transfer buses twice, which was a bit annoying. The first transfer, from the 332 Eglinton West to the 334 Eglinton East, was easy. I just got off and followed the two people who were also changing buses, and as it happened I only had to wait a minute for the 334 to pull up.
The transfer to the northbound 302 was a bit trickier, as I didn't know the area that well. I asked the bus driver where to go for the transfer, and he sent me to the stop on Brimley north of Eglinton. I was not sure this was correct, and after checking the app and an online street map I confirmed I had been given bad info. I walked down to Danforth and Brimley and found the correct stop (the 302 route was marked on the bus stop sign) and waited about 10-12 minutes for the next and final bus on my route.
So now I have a fair idea of how to get to work if I don't have access to a car that day, which is great. I don't intend to use it often, but it's good to know I have options. In all I am grateful that we have a regular night bus service in Toronto. I try not to dump on the TTC too much (though god knows I'll be pissed off about something about the TTC sooner or later), but it really is a solid service that the city shouldn't take for granted.
Cheers, and a Happy New Year to all of you!
(edit: grammar)
The MBTA has just released the schedules for its new late night bus service. This service will run 7 days/week and focus mostly on getting late night workers home. This is in stark contrast to prior attempts at late night T service that operated only on weekends and were geared towards the service industry and its patrons. Hopefully, the change in target demographic will make this attempt more successful than the previous ones.

See title. Five cancelled services in a row.
Is it possible to go Bhaktapur,Thimi from Jawalakhel with other public vehicles at 8:00PM? If not can we get bus to koteshwor atleast?
So I frequently get a return ticket from Marine Gate to Telescombe Cliffs to visit mum and it always costs Β£5 for a return . Except this one driver ( female with long hair dyed blue , quite wrinkled ) always charges me Β£5.20 , on questioning this she is adamant this is the correct price and blatantly doesn't want a conversation with me. One time I told her it usually costs Β£5 and she fumbled around with her 'till' and gave me a single ticket that cost Β£3 ( a single is usually Β£2.70 ) She is an arsehole .
Yesterday this happened again , she made me pay Β£5.20 and when I boarded the bus to gohome the driver said my ticket is a City Saver and not valid from that stop and I would have to walk three stops away . He let it go in the end , but snatched the ticket away as if I was a naughty boy and put it on the dash board. It was all absurd , I had even paid 20p more and had less travel freedom. if you use the bus a lot please tell me what a City Saver is and how you would deal with this awkward driver in future if it was you !
He's furious and rightly so, it's needless vandalism but I can't help but laugh as his Facebook post is full of Inbetweeners quotes and he just doesn't get it.
