A list of puns related to "Nashik District"
Do you Punekars agree? only Mumbai and Nagpur are getting special attention. Pune barely has 3-4 big Infrastructure under construction (metro, ringroad, riverfront, airport) out of which only 1 has started. Highways in Pune district are in pathetic conditions, so many bottle necks in Pune- Nashik highway. the bypass from Katraj to Fursungi is still under construction since so many years. If the government doesnt pay attention Pune is going to be the next Kolkata.(Sorry for bad grammar)

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
Woke up this morning to this City Line article -

As per the article, over 29L adults in Nagpur city have taken Covid jabs. If I take this number in isolation and consider it to be ~90% of the resident adult urban population in city (notional figure based on the 92.64% figure given in the article), we could estimate that ~32L adults live in the city. As per 2011 census ~29.5% of population in India was below 14 years age group. If I add 14-18 age group here as well, and assume that at least 20% of the population of Nagpur city is below 18 years of age in 2021, we could arrive at 8L people. Thus, the population of residents in Nagpur city is easily above 40L at the moment. Add to this 25-30% floating population that arrives in city for business, healthcare, marriage/ceremonial, education, etc. purposes from all parts of central India. We could confidently say that the population of the city could be kissing 50-55L. I am talking only about the city population. The district population could very well be 35-40% higher.
Why do these numbers matter? These matter because most of the economic growth in the region is not endemic and is dependent on external investments. Many large businesses tend to avoid Nagpur as the business expansion decisions taken by these businesses are usually baked in with biases of the managers who are seldom from the region and are lesser so data driven. These managers inherently have good perception for cities like Pune, Nashik, Indore, Chandigarh, etc. and majorly lack awareness on what Nagpur has to offer. Some businesses that do have managers who are aware of the Nagpur market, have indeed come to the city and are doing brisk business. For example, McD / Starbucks / Vistara are classic examples of the former, while Domino's / Indigo / Boeing / Mahindra are classic examples of the latter.
Under what circumstances did Starbucks chose to open multiple outlets in smaller towns like Indore and Chandigarh, while completely avoiding promising market like Nagpur? Another Tata initiative - Vistara - is steering off Nagpur despite of heavy demand on certain routes such as Nagpur - Bengaluru, which are not exploited enough even by Indigo which at a time was running 7 flights per day. Makes me wonder what the decision make

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
