Why did Nietzsche admire Napoleon I Bonaparte (Emperor of France [1804-1815])
Why did Nietzsche admire, praise and think of Napoleon Bonaparte as one of the historical figures closest to his Γbermensch concept?

If I'm not mistaken, Napoleon is still relatively revered in France today. Is that true? If so, why? I don't see any shared values between the expansionistic, imperialistic Napoleon and the pro-republican, relatively non-militaristic French people of today.

What if Germany was unified when Napoleon became emperor of France?
In our timeline Napoleon became French emperor and ran havoc through continental Europe. He defeated the Austrians, Prussians and steamrolled the dozens of various German states that were in the HRE. 1/3 of the army Napoleon used to invade Russia were Germans.
But what if the Austrian empire, Prussia, and the various German states that remained in HRE were a unified and centralized country? Could a unified Germany have stopped Napoleon or would he still have conquered half of Europe? Also if Germany had won against Napoleon how would the peace treaty look like? And what would be the effects of a 70 years earlier unified Germany be on history?

How could a France embroiled in a revolution shaking the entire country still prevail in the first two Wars of Coalition before unity under Napoleon?
It seems odd to me that a nation that is having such a deadly revolution where its Republican Governments were still on shaky ground able to muster not only the men and resources for war, but have the capacity to outwit and defeat nations not suffering such a deadly revolution.

Lets say the republican spirit of the revolution never gets replaced by an emperor (as happened in our historiy), how would france and the world develop? Do you think they'd make the same wars? How would life for civilians be? Would this bring liberal revolutions to other kingdoms at a faster rate than OTL?

Wouldn't the folks who only a few years back were engaged in radical anti-aristocratic revolution have been uncomfortable with their leader taking on such a traditional moniker as Emperor?
