A list of puns related to "Napoleon II"
I enjoy hunting and buying β¦ and buy more than I want to hold. I sell to keep up my buying addiction, and for the fun of exposing folks to uncommon world gold coins. All coins include Airtite capsules (except where noted). Spot is US$1,829 at time of posting. Sorry about saying gold 3 times in the title -- it's always gold!
See videos for many coins below. As a frequent buyer of gold coins I'm often surprised as the reality vs. the pics (often pleasantly). The videos are here for you to know what you're getting.
(PM's only please - I will redirect you from chat). I'm happy to do my best to answer any nerdy questions about old world gold. If I don't know it, you may inspire me to research it and get back to ya!
The Latin Monetary Union (βLMU") was a monetary union in Europe established in 1865 based on coinage standards originating with Napoleon I. Officially, it included France, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Spain, Venezuela, and others. Many other countries (Russia, Finland, Poland, Serbia, etc) matched the standard and minted coins in the same denomination. It was the first 'euro' -- you can find posters identifying the coins that were official members. The LMU fell apart with the onset of WWI, but you can find several coins with the same size in the interwar period (Poland, Yugoslavia, etc) and beyond. I posted a full list of LMU gold coins here.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Let's assume ITTL Napoleon II gets better health, lives to a ripe old age, matures to inherit all of his father's good traits and his ambition, and develops a sympathy for liberalism. An uncanny sequence of deaths in the Habsburg royal family leaves him the heir apparent or close to in the line of succession. When the liberal-national revolutions start, the senior Habsburg abdicate in panic much like OTL. He stages a palace coup to get rid of rival claimants and everyone else who dislikes his Bonaparte roots, and takes the throne. He implements liberal and federalist reforms, and makes Austria take the lead of the revolutionary movement in Germany and Italy.
He leverages the talents he inherited from his father and the support of the revolutionaries to crush conservative and particularist opposition in the Habsburg lands, Germany, and Italy. The German and Italian states that might oppose his rise to power are undermined by revolution or defeated on the battlefield, and overwhelmed into submission. He reforges a new and improved Habsburg/Napoleonic Empire, or if you wish the HRE reborn as a modern state, as a liberal constitutional monarchy and the federal union of Germany, Italy, and Hungary. His subjects hail him as the champion of liberalism, the restorer of imperial glory, the unifier of Germany and Italy, and the protector of Hungary. He establishes a new Habsburg-Bonaparte dynasty based on his forebears' prestige and his own accomplishments.
France, Russia, and Britain are too busy to interfere in the new empire's formation until it consolidates. France has to deal with its own revolution. Russia is busy putting down rebellions in its own empire. ITTL the uprising in Poland occurs in concert with the other revolutions in Europe, and its example spreads to Finland, the Baltic lands, the parts of Belarus and Ukraine formerly ruled by the PLC, and the Danubian Principalities, keeping the Tsar busy with restoring order at home for a good while.
Britain is aloof from European affairs in this period, focused on imperial concerns, and sympathetic to liberal revolutions. It might well get concerned with the rise of a potential European hegemon that bears Napoleon's stink, but something happens to keep it distracted. It might be an earlier Sepoy Rebellion in India, an uprising in Ireland, a war with America about Canada and the Pacific Northwest, or a mix of the above.
Britain, Russia, Spain, and Turkey may well form a conservative coalition and attempt

How long do you think it would last
What if Anthony Berezovsky succeeded in assassinating Emperor Napoleon III and Tsar Alexander II during the International Exhibition in Paris in 1867?
What are the effects of this on the Second French Empire and the Russian Empire?
This was the main fear of Francis and why he dissolved the HRE. But letβs say he dies of a heart attack before he dissolved the HRE and Napoleon is elected as Holy Roman Emperor: whatβs next for Europe?
Was doing some reading that referenced Napoleon I and III, when it occurred to me that I've never really heard anything about Napoleon II. So I read his wikipedia, he died young so his lack of note in history is unsurprising. But when I came to the bottom of the Wikipedia page, it notes that Hitler had Napoleon II's remains moved from Austria to France without explaining why. Why would Hitler have done that? Especially since I would've thought he'd want to keep Napoleonic artifacts in Germany, as I understand Hitler was an admirer of Napoleon.

We are replacing a Weber GENESIS SILVER B (c. 2002-ish, I can't recall), which we've had for nearly 20 years. Have replaced parts, but this is (was?) a great workhorse.
We're looking to replace it with something that will last as long (does anything last these days?) or will be easy to keep working with easily-sourced parts. I don't need all the bells and whistles. I want something that is dependable (temperature, cooking, and parts) and will last
I'm under the impression that both of these are China-made, which is sort of a bummer (compared to the original), but what can I do?
Ideas? Thoughts?

the community has been thinking of a sequel such as empire II or trilogies like Medieval III, but I see nobody talking about Napoleon II. Am I the only one?
