Hello everyone,
I am contemplating a move to Corsica (from the US) to study French for a year at the University in Corte. Since I would be coming from the US and only temporarily, it is unlikely that I would ship my car to France, which means I would be without a car. I have seen in a number of forums people mentioning needing a car in Corsica. Generally, that advice is given to tourists, who would be renting a car for like a week or so. Renting a car for my entire stay would probably be prohibitively expensive for my student budget (I'll be living off of savings). So I'm wondering, what do students do in this situation? Is it possible to live in Corte or the surrounding area without a car? I'm thinking of getting a bike (possibly electric) and then renting a car every once in a while to explore the island. Does that seem feasible or is a car something I would probably need on a daily basis/more regularly? Thanks in advance, I appreciate your advice !
Also, on a related note -- if not Corsica, some other places that I am considering (in part because the application deadlines have passed for many other Universities), are: Pau, Perpignan, Montpellier, Strasbourg, and Picardie. I prefer sunshine most of the year (so the last two are probably out for that reason), and I prefer to be in/close to beautiful nature most of the time, and appreciate the simple things in life in general. I don't care much for big cities, partying, shopping, crowds of people, etc. So with all of that, I would love any additional insight into these places, and for example, if there are easily accessible smaller towns, villages, country-side where I could live affordably and that have easy public transportation/bike ride to the city.
Planning to spend ten days or so on the island of Corsica after being stuck in the US for the past year and a half. Have visited other islands in the Mediterranean before but never this one. Traveling with my partner who likes quiet, hidden beaches and dramatic landscape over crowded beach party vibes.
Seems like thereβs easy access to the south of France, so is there some interesting nearby destination we should visit after a week on the isle of beauty?

My toughts: >!Such a classi season with two great straig team but both finish to crumble. In the merge Remy reunite his fellow members and made a pretty solid game who finsh by a great final 3 between him, the original Coro leader Korg and The social player Lyria. The winner is pretty suprising for e i dint expect Lyria win againt the two big shark. GG for her.!<
