Oxygen molecular weight wrong

This has always bothered me and I wanted to know if anyone knows the impetus behind this creative decision. Elemental oxygen appears as O2 in nature, and in ONI they call it O2 in the descriptions. But the in game molecular weight is 16 g/mol, where in reality it’s 32 g/mol since it has two oxygen atoms.

In most cases it doesn’t matter, but where there’s a functional problem from it isinglass comparison to natural gas. Methane (natural gas) should actually be 20 g/mol (in game 16 g/mol for whatever reason), so should be lighter than oxygen, but in game it’s effectively the same.

Anyone know if Klei has a stated rationale for this? It’s obviously ok for the game to differ from reality, but it’s strange that they’ve strived for realistic values throughout (co2 molecular weight, for instance, is correct) but have these wrong.

What is the human nipple tissue molecular weight penetration? For skin it is <500

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31713297/

This study shows how topical tamoxifen is x100 times better in female hormone related breast pain than oral 20mg tamoxifen. no side effects at all and almost no presence in the blood (you can find full article on sci-hub)

tamoxifen citrate(in pills) molecular weight is 563.65 and skin can't allow anything more than 500> to go in, if it the same for the nipple tissue? Can I enhance it with ethanol or ethanol-DMSO mix?

Thank you! If it can penetrate - we can avoid gyno for cheap with no aromatase inhibitors! Less side effects! Healthy liver!

High molecular weight Lipo HLA

I was looking for a high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and I just bought the Alive By Science Lipo HLA capsules. Any opinions on this vs the DoNotAge High molecular HLA? The main reason I didn't get the DoNotAge was due to shipping cost.

I don't have any particular result in mind, but I saw Brad Stansfield's recent YT video on HLA where he stressed the importance of high molecular weight.

I had originally thought it may be able to replace Full Spectrum Curcumin which has been great with NR to prevent lower back pain/sciatica from flaring up, but I found after a week it's not a drop-in replacement so I'm taking all three. Possibly because HLA is better for joints and bones and the back thing is more of a nerve/muscle issue.

Why do my westerns have a mysterious very high molecular weight band at the top?

I'm not very experienced with westerns and ran my first one in years today. I ran two blots and used Sypro and one primary antibody on one, and a different primary on the other with no Sypro. All my images show a strong band above the top of the ladder in all samples (~300+ kDa). Another lab member ran a blot using the same antibodies and some of the same samples last week and this band wasn't there (though may have been cut off).

I'm not sure what it could be and can't find any info about this online. It's not necessarily a problem but it makes me wonder if there's something wrong with my samples like large protein aggregates or some problem with the migration. I also found that the ladder was strongly detected with ECL in this run, which could be related, and I also can't find useful troubleshooting for. Any ideas appreciated!

Circumventing RC-Bans via high Molecular Weight- a potential contender: N-hexamethyl-N-hexakis(1-(4-methylcyclohexyl)propan-2-yl)benzene-hexacarboxamide

Structure please forgive the fucked up spacing, you get what it would really look like

Original Post & Comment that gave another idea

So what is this ? Its a molecule that is hydrolyzed in a similar manner to lisdexamphetamine but it yields 4-Methyl-Propylhexedrine instead of amphetamine. The choice of the acid was to maximize Drug : other stuff ratio.

The circumvention of bans is explained in the "Original Post"

I do not know whether the 4-Methyl Substitution on Propylhexedrine is even worthwhile. This would also work with 4MMC, MDMA, MDMB, MDMC, 4FA, all that stuff. Not with pyrovalerones though. Generally all 2PEAs with a leftover Hydrogen on the Nitrogen.

The addition of the substitution was just an example, imagine the PEA of your choice on there. The reason I specifically chose propylhexedrine over a 2PEA with an aromatic was a discussion about propylhexedrine where a few people mentioned that it is very well suited for oral consumption in comparison to classic stims while it lacks in the intranasal department in comparison. This molecule is probably only useful orally, other things might work in one way or another, but I wouldn't wanna try it and its probably less effective than oral.

Also, im not sure whether this would sterically work (the production), it seems pretty on the edge of whats possible in that department, otherwise it might be needed to use (COOH)3C6H3 or smth like that as the acid. Otherwise, u/Grammorphone once suggested using Citric Acid, which definitely leaves more place to remove any issues with steric hinderance and would also be really cheap. Oh and as he mentioned, the ban this was originally designed "against" isnt even that big of an issue for users, I just thought it was still interesting.

Feel free to share any related Ideas, prayers, wishes, songs, poems and sci-fi novels

im always interested

oh btw this also works with completely other things, opioids, whatever you want to work with - as long as its possible to fit it on there as a tertiary/secondary amide

Circumventing RC-Bans via high Molecular Weight

So me and HauptmannYamato discussed this under the xanthine RC Post, its a very interesting sort of Loophole in (I think multiple) RC-Laws:

In some RC Laws (e.g. the German NpSG) a max. molecular weight is listed for some drugs (in this case 500u / g/mol for all 2PEA's that are banned) e.g. 4MMC has around 177u, so 500u is not too far off.

For anyone interested, 1 Atom of Carbon (12) is pretty much 12 u.

Now as many of you probably know, amino acids are sometimes attached to drugs for medical purposes, the best example is lisdexamphetamine which is hydrolyzed into (dex)Amphetamine and Lysine. Now this is where we can start our journey.

Since I'm not an expert on these bonds and which bonds are needed for the body to actually split the molecule correctly before forming any other metabolites I'm making assumptions here, more info from people with more medical and chemical knowledge would be great to receive.

Lets take for example 4MMC, roughly 177g/mol. So we need some more, lets add a peptide at the Nitrogen which can then be hydrolyzed into the peptide and our Drug - first thing that came to my mind was (leu)enkephaline, of course something more readily accessible and cheap would be more practical, however I think the activity of the enkephaline is of no concern here however im not really sure whether the enkephaline would just rapidly be metabolized, im just fairly sure it is. But this is just an unrealistic example peptide for this type of Process anyways so yeah.

So,the enkephaline and the 4MMC can be connected at 4MMCs Nitrogen and enkephalines spare carboxyl group and wham - legal 4MMC.

If anyone has suggestions for cheap peptides with a mass of over 323u, comment away ! Or any other thoughts, or concerns, or corrections. Only concern I have is that this wont be of much use for intranasal consumption.

EDIT: Yamato also mentioned the possibility of having multiple 4MMCs in one molecule, which im fairly sure I've seen before with other drugs but I cant quite remember any examples.

EDIT2: Someone mentioned the problem of e.g. 4MMCs Illegality, while this is true, it does not apply for heaps of other drugs that are illegal in an example country like here germany which banned all "regular" (2PEAs) Stims which are however still readily available in the Netherlands and other countries

What is the difference between molar mass and molecular weight?

I just took an assessment and I am pretty sure I used molar mass instead of molecular weight incorrectly.

I put values such as grams/mole that I found online. Would this be incorrect?

After looking online, it said that molecular weight is in amu s. Is this correct and are the numbers the same.

Other than that can someone explain the concept to me in more detail. I remember learning the distinction for the MCAT but not during my undergraduate courses.
