A list of puns related to "Mizzen"
I hope Stephen got his Christine.
Also, holy cow did the movie give short shrift to Stephen or what? Such a shame.
I've been avoiding this sub until I finished to avoid spoilers, but now, here I am!
This was my first run through of the series in entirety. I did the Patrick Tull narrations which I think are just a marvelous performance. Great ending imho. After 20 books Iβm ready for something new!
Hi all,
So my family used to have a book shop in Zimbabwe called the "Mizzen book store". If anyone has ever come across a books with a stamp from the "Mizzen book store" and could get in touch with me that would be amazing.
I know It is probably very unlikely I will get any responses but I told my grandparents I would check and see if anyone has any.
Thanks!

Itβs a bittersweet feeling. I wouldβve happily read another 20 books, but it has as good of an ending as you could ask for.
Jack, Stephen, Bondon, Killick and all of our other fine shipmates, weigh anchor, Iβll see you in a few years.
Looking for some tips about performance shirts. I'm happy to pay a premium, but reluctant to order as I'm not sure which brand material will be suitable for aus
I'm trying to find the brand with the most stretch and suitability for hotter weather.
Any advice on brands you've purchased would be amazing
just need 5 more people please :)

Hey guys, I'm doing a uni assignment on research marketing, It'd help out if ya'll would fill out this survey. It's based on people who buy performance based formal shirts.
So Iβm currently reading Blue at the Mizzen and I saw this term:
Sea-daddy.
Couldnβt find it in the Sailorβs Lexicon.
What does the term mean, and if itβs a nautical term or not?
Wanted to share something I came across. One of the recommendations I took from here is Mizzen + Main dress shirts. Bought a few over the last year or so and thought they were great. Picked up one last week and when I went to try it on it felt a little different. Looked at th tag and they are no longer made in the US but rather now in the Dominican Republic. Looking at some of the tags online close up others say Indonesia. The few I have from before that were made in the US were like any other shirt where the inside was the same pattern as the outside, this new one is all white on the inside despite the outside being blue strips. Makes it look cheap.
I still think they are good shirts but probably won't be buying anymore unless there is some super sale. It was pretty tough to justify the price before, now without them made in the US it makes it even harder IMO. Charging the same price and producing overseas... I guess good for them for trying to make more $$$ but they do feel slightly less comfortable and like I said the inside looks cheap.
Forgive me if it's obvious, but I haven't been able to find the answer on my own. I'm quite new to the world of sailing, having just completed my ASA 101 this year. I know how to trim the sails on a sloop, but how do yawls adjust their mizzen?
Since the mizzen mast is directly behind you how do you pull the sheet in or out? Is there an extra mainsheet or jibsheet? Do you have to reach behind you? Does the mizzen somehow adjust on it own?
Finally is a yawl much harder to sail than a sloop?
Techwear? Performance wear?
Techwear seems to have some broad meanings, either it is used to refer to that 'urban ninja' type of fashion, or a more modern spin of traditional clothes, as fashionbean defines it as
>But for us it is the blending of modern, man-made materials with advanced construction techniques, to create a new form of functionality
brands like Ministry of Supply, Lululemon, Mizzen and Main, etc combine these unique type of fabrics into general every day casual, business casual clothes.
Unfortunately most of these brands don't exist in Japan (Lululemon does but its even more expensive here and the selection is limited).
There is also Uniqlo, which produces lines such as Kando series, which can be both very functional but able to use for work. However some people complain that the Kando series doesn't have a good silhouette or form, or that it somehow seems 'off'
This is a review of United Arrow's 'Work Trip Outfits' which is sold under their Green Label Relaxing brand.
Work Trip Outfits line
This is a new line being heavily promoted by United Arrows, to the extent that within Tokyo and some major cities, you will find shops specializing specifically on the Work Trip Outfit line and nothing else.
It is UA's attempt at mimicking the type of offerings from MoS/MM/etc that has been popular in the US.
The Work Trip Outfits line covers all business and business casual fashion. collared shirts, blazers, full suits, polo shirts, etc. The lines change during the S/S and F/W seasons.
Like the other tech/performance wear stuff, its mostly a mixture of synthetic and natural materials (i.e. polyester, nylon, cotton, linen, etc).
A quick review
I recently bought a full suit from the WTO line, as well as a blazer, which I plan to use for work.
The suit has open pockets rather than ones with flaps, giving it a slightly more casual look. But there are a wide variety of styles, including those with flap pockets and a more wool like texture. However I liked the color on this model and the rougher texture on this model.
the interior is unlined, and has two pockets, one of which is zipped
The grey blazer has an even rougher texture due to it being mixed with linen.
One reason for my purchase of them was because of how much more functional they were.
As
... keep reading on reddit β‘"Fine, I suppose I'd better actually do this Chile thing. Only been putting it off for three books or so now."
In case you've been curious about M&M shirts but were turned off by the price, it looks like an unintentional mini-sale is going on for one shirt in one size. There appears to be a human error made in the list price for their Montauk navy gingham shirt in Large/Trim size. That's my size (I'm 5'11/200 lbs, bit of a belly and broad shoulders) so I jumped. The order went through and the confirmation email arrived - here's hoping it actually gets shipped! I've been very happy with M&M shirts for work, so if this particular pattern and size works for you, $57 is a much nicer entry point. Enjoy!
