merchantman is getting a price buff is 1.0.6, but it is probably not enough to bring it into the meta, and here's why.
The best part about merchantman in btd6 is its production-buffing potential with trade empire and central market. this doesn't work as good in btdb2 however, because 1. you'd need to run farm, 2. the only map with enough water for 20 boats is docks, wich will be banned from zomg superdome/hom and 3. it only generates 1,5 times as much money compared to btd6, and not 2x.
There are three changes i would make to merchantmen. First off, change trade empire like shinobi tactics, where the buffing cap is only ten instead of twenty, but each buff is twice as strong. Second, remove the central market buff entirely. With eco being so strong, it wouldn't make sense to bring multiple farming towers. And lastly, make them produce 2x as much as in btd6, it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't.

As of the most recent IAE Iβve been looking into the ship I want to purchase to be my main ship and use on a daily basis. This thing was a 27M stretch goal, that was achieved in Nov 2013, almost exactly 8 years ago.
The ship was 1st sold in 2013 for $250 and in 8 years (5 years, actually, if the price history is correct) has managed to... more than double in price while still being a vaporware?

Atm, I've got a Merchantman that I can ccu to a Carrack that then has a ccu to the Polaris. I will 100% ccu to the Polaris when it comes out, but I want to know if I should keep my Merchantman with its loaners or ccu to the Carrack and have it and the Pisces? I also have a Ares Inferno that ccus to a Redeemer.
