Obviously, there are plenty of people writing fantasy. I know Sanderson is a big name, etc. But Tolkien/Rowling/Martin were authors who somehow had their creation become world famous, pop culture icons.
I'm not too well-versed in contemporary fantasy. So who do you think will become the next big thing?
