We all know madra was the being with the highest potential to grow but exactly how strong was he when compared to the legends of his time?
Also, famines in British India are frequently attributed (rightfully or not) to colonial policy - why was the Great Famine of 1876β1878 isolated to two provinces and two princely states? Is this evidence that colonial policy was not a sufficient factor in the 1876-78?

In Unsouled, Yerrin tells Lindon that the Heart of Twin Stars Scroll has two techniques, the cycling technique to split your cores and the empty palm technique.
However, there is an allusion to a third technique. Presumably, the original user of the empty palm technique (that scoundrel) had a madra aspect likely Dream-Light considering the scroll was found in the Wei libraries. However, he was able to purify his madra in order to perform the empty palm. While the writer of the scroll has no idea how he accomplishes such a thing, there's a few things we can gleam from this:
- It's not particularly straining on either madra supply or channels since somebody below gold rank was able to use it effectively
- It can be done quickly because he was able to use it in combat.
- It's obtainable without the use of any particularly rare sacred instruments (unless of course, the original user found a tool in the labyrinth)
- It's throughput is at least reasonable enough to allow the use of techniques with the resulting pure madra.
There are also tools that can convert vital aura into pure madra but lets leave that aside for now.
So we know that it's possible to purify madra of its aspect. What does this mean for Lindon?
It blows the door on the limitations of pure madra paths wide off its hinges. He could cycle effectively. Just pull any old aura from the environment, run it through the purifier and then into his core. He could effectively switch madra from his blackflame core to his pure core. But i don't think this is even it's greatest potential.
I think the biggest potential of such a technique is with Lindon's hunger arm. All the madra he has to vent because he can't take it into his core? All of a sudden, that madra is now usable. It's an instant power boost and stimulant during combat. He'd never have to worry about advancement again, just like Northstrider. He'd be able to use 100% (or up to his capacity whichever is lower) of any madra he absorbs from an opponent.

Way 1: Some form of construct or what ever to either purify the aura or make pure madra into pure aura
Way 2: develop a EXTREMELY complex technique to make pure aura out of madra(Requires the Heaven and earth purification wheel)

This was the type of madra that awakened him at first. This is the type of madra that is used to communicate, or to weave illusions, so anything to do with consciousness, I suppose. All uses of the dream madra are the same as the things Dross does for Lindon, communication, projection of his thoughts, illusions sent to his enemies etc. This is also the type of madra he craved the most, after gaining his final form, he kept asking for more dream madra from Charity. Maybe Dross is still a machine, fueled mainly by dream madra, and casting an illusion strong enough to fool a Dreadgod emptied, or broke his battery.
I think I read that the Silent Servants, followers of the Silent King, mainly used light and dream madra.
Does this mean that this is the types of madra that the Silent King uses ? If so, maybe Lindon could use his hunger arm on the Silent King to get an ungodly amount of dream madra, drain it and drive it directly at the base off his skull, and use it as a kind of adrenaline shot to revive Dross... That would require him to find and approach the Silent King in his sleep. And in that state, the Silent Servants will surely be guarding him.
Which is actually perfect, because I just want to see the crew at this current level take down an entire dreadgod cult on their own. I want to see them face a Sage or a Herald, a handful archlords and overlords, and still come out on top because they're just too strong. When he was still an underlord without authority, we saw Lindon handle two overlords in seconds, when they were about to kill Pride. I want to see him do the same to archlords now.
And I hope the crew gets to encounter all the dreadgods before ascending.
