A list of puns related to "Long Tall Sally"
There isnβt a phone number to call from the US, returns are no longer free (which made the difference for me as a tall person trying on clothes), the past couple of shoes I ordered run a size or two small, and thereβs no product review system on their website to help customers make informed decisions.
I appreciate the new owners for rescuing LTS during the pandemic, but is anyone else having frustrations with Long Tall Sally?
I know Iβve written a post a few weeks ago re LTS UK being ruined since being bought out when I purchased clothing as it was far too short and clearly not designed for tall women but I thought Iβd give them a try for shoes. Iβm a UK size 11 so bought a pair of really cute boots from them, and couldnβt even get my feet in them. My mother who is a UK size 8 fit them perfectly, but didnβt like the design so unfortunately theyβve been sent back. So unfortunately it would appear that LTS has been bought out in name only and not in sizes/fit of clothing/shoes. Really disappointing. Going to have to try and find feminine shoes elsewhere if I want something that arenβt Vans.
Before the pandemic, I swore by Long Tall Sally's Allegro Skinny Pant. Now that I'm going to have to start going back to the office, I need another pair. I knew LTS was bought out last year but I assumed they would keep the Allegro pant since it seemed (based on the lack of inventory) it was one of the brand's most popular items. To my dismay, I don't see them on their website anymore. (There's only cropped Allegro pants which, hi, I'm 6' tall, if I wanted cropped pants, I'd go to a regular store!)
Does anyone have any good work-pant alternatives to the Allegro Skinny?
Just a heads up for those who are in the UK who were happy that Long Tall Sally were saved, Iβve tried buying a few items (specifically trousers) from there recently since they βreopenedβ, and they are short. Itβs like shopping at a shit tall section in a normal shop. Now I understand Iβm on the taller side of tall ranges at 6ft 3in (where my height is all my legs with a stupid tiny torso) but still. LTS was the one place I could rely on for trousers. Apparently not anymore. Plus even more annoyingly, theyβve also got rid of the review section so you canβt warn anyone about it. Iβve not tried the shoes yet but Iβm not hopeful... Anyone else tried them recently?
Iβve just bought some items from Long Tall Sally for the first time since they were taken over by new owners. The quality of the clothes are terrible, but most annoying is theyβre not even tall fit! Theyβre totally standard fit, short in the body, arms and legs.
The models on the website for new items arenβt the same ones they used to use.
The labels in the clothes are different to what they have been for years so Iβm guessing the new owners have just relabelled some other cheap crap.
Iβm genuinely upset about it! π
Iβm wondering how the quality is. The new company seems a little weird/sketchy to me. They didnβt have a big grand re-opening announcement but I keep seeing new products on their Instagram.
When I first checked them out, they were selling all of the old LTS styles at an incredible mark-up. (They had βsalesβ but the βoriginalβ price on eg. a pair of jeans was put at $500 and the βsaleβ price was $100.)
Thanks!
Howβs everyone doing? Reports of power outages in the Plantation. Minor flooding and tree damage in Indian Bayou. Piers damaged along the bay.
While we were prepped for a storm, I donβt think anyone expected things would be as bad as they are.
A lot of their stuff is too middle aged business woman for me but they're the only brand I know that makes clothes for tall women. Yall know any other shops?
My wife (6β4β) has always bought her leggings from LTS. They almost went out of business this year due to COVID and were recently taken over by a new owners.
The problem is, they are currently closed to US-based customers and currently showing out of stock of leggings.
Does anyone know of an alternate option that sells womenβs leggings with a 37β inseam?
Tall ladies - This is my second pair of LTS brand jeans Iβve had that have ripped up the seam of the butt after only a few wears. Does anyone else have this problem? <Picture Here>
Iβve been looking for an alternative brand for 36β jeans. I was hoping to have some luck with Buckle but havenβt seen a slim cut jean thatβs doesnβt have their signature distressing in the last few month.
This happened a couple weeks ago, but I didn't see anyone talk about it here yet. Let me know if I just missed it. They started with opening the EU/UK store, and then just opened the USA store. The selection is sparse right now but hoping they're making new styles. π
