Hello. I would love if someone could assist me getting this book, which is unavailable through regular paths. Thank you.
Can be found here. Thanks in advance.
So here's the premise:
Esotericism gives you a very easy way to get a virtue trait.
Legalism gives you reduced chance of rebellions when you have a virtue trait.
Pluralism gives you reduced chance of rebellions.
Do you think its worth it?
Base on my own assessment of the current LGBT movement and increasing liberalism of the society, together with some informal survey, I think its totally possible that consensual plural marriage would be legalized in the US in the next century
There are many implications if the plural marriage were to be legalized in the future; I do not try to discuss whether the church policy would change because of that. That's a matter of the direction given from the Lord through the prophet.
For one, may be people would apologize to the church for the persecution in the early church period due to practicing polygamy.
Also, the church's history of practicing polygamy would no long be a point of attack for people opposing the church.
It appears to me that the polygamy practicing break-off from the church DO NOT practice polygamy on a consensual basis and there were often a lot of manipulation involved, so no I do not think their action would be justified
This story is not as entitled as most I can read here but I think I still can talk about my EM, I don't complain because I'm use to it and now I just laugh at her shit.
For some context: I'm a 22 yo trans man who lives in france, I'm also mentally disabled (autistic + DID + ADHD and depression) and can't work or leave the house because of that.
I did my transgender coming out years ago, when I was 18 (2017) to my familly, it went very bad but I don't really care even if she mistreat me and is very transphobic. Since 2 years I made a file to legally change my name and because of lot of troubles due to my disabilities (I went into a psyward for a long time) the file was waiting and I couldn't send it. The problem, and where the EM come in the story, was that I was missing ONE file: a proof that I live in the city where I was submitting the file.
Idk in other countries, but I know one thing for sure: adminitration in france is very complicated, even when you are able, I let you imagine how difficult and how much I asked for help for this file.
So I needed a file to proove that I live where I live, and since everthing is on HER name, I needed her to do a paper where she say "yes, this personn lives in my house since forever". Of course like I said she is transphobic so she didn't wanted to do the paper. I tried to lie by saying stuff like "it's for school" (Now I'm not even in school anymore...) but she knew that it wasn't so she didn't made it. She was like "yeah but I know I'll have to do paperwork if you change your name and I don't want to" (No, It was planed that I do the paperwork.) or other excuses like "yeah but you can find a job and leave me alone" (she know I can't work... I tried and yeah I ended up in a psyward, because I knew that I'll do a burn out and depression who take everything I have, but she didn't listen and forced me to.)
At the end, it's, quite surprisingly, my DID who saved me. Coz a part of me (yeah what you call alters in general) is quite agressive (he just talk with a lot of confidence but she say it's agressive and I can't confirm or infirm) toward my mom and tell her that if she don't gave this paper because we ask for it since two years we will do it illegaly (asking for a friend to ""squatt administratively"") but we don't like to break laws so it's her choice.
She finally gave the paper and we finally submit the file but it was pretty hardcore.
But they were a condition to that:
This idea is a modification of a r/WSB post I saw earlier today. We all know that crypto technology is the future and where better to display this technology than through Reddit. This is a rough idea ( kind of a joke but interesting to think about nonetheless) that I would love the community's input on.
Reddit recently filed a confidential report with the SEC marking its first step toward an IPO. According to Forbes, Reddit's most recent funding round yielded $700 Million, which puts the companies value at around $10 Billion. Most companies offer a limited number of shares at any given time. These shares are usually common stock which gives investors a right to vote and earn dividends (if dividends are offered). The right to vote is the important part. If an individual or group can buy a majority [ 50% plus 1] of a company's voting stock, known as a controlling equity interest, then that individual or group has significant influence in the operating decisions of the company. However, a majority is not always required and significant influence can be achieved through owning a plurality of voting shares.
This is where a DAO comes in. I think we all remember the ConstitutionDAO that valiantly tried to buy one of the 13 copies of the U.S Constitution. In what was our crypto National Treasure moment, we were presented with a real-world example of the power of crypto technology. Thousands of individuals, "The People", participated to fundraise money and buy a piece of history. A RedditDAO could attempt a similar feat, but instead of buying an artifact, we could buy a controlling share of Reddit. We could all have a voice on the board of a publically traded company. We would be able to influence strategic and operational changes that impact Reddit users (all of us). Instead of being at the whims of management, we could become a part of management.
I neither know the legal behind a DAO having a seat on the board of a publically traded company nor do I know the steps toward creating a DAO, but If someone with the know-how and resources does then this could be an interesting endeavor.
For those of you that didn't labor through the paragraphs above here is the TLDR:
TLDR: We create a RedditDAO to buy a controlling or influencing share of Reddit once it IPOs. With this influence, we not only have a voice in the decisions of the company but protection from potentially harmful policies.
Edit: The level of support for this is outstanding! I have tried to respond
... keep reading on reddit β‘The differing natures of the Egyptian and Tunisian labour movements simultaneously contributed to the different outcomes of their 2011 revolutions and are indicative of the societies those labour movements and revolutions came out of, thus helping to explain their divergent outcomes.
The Egyptian Trade Union Federation was founded in 1957, and became the only legal trade union, under Nasserβs state. The basis of this was the provision of job security and other economic benefits like a share in the net profit and social welfare programmes in exchange for political quietism and subordination, in order to maintain state control over the labour movement.
This social contract broke down from the 80βs onwards as the ETUF maintained a monopoly over workerβs representation while retracting the benefits, the latter of which was part of a larger liberalizing trend in the region.
>Economic Reform and Structural Adjustment Plans (ERSAP) and agreements with the US, EU, WTO, IMF, and the World Bank within the region from the 1980s onwards included lowering custom tariffs and taxes on imports; opening up markets to foreign investments in telecommunication, the financial sector, transport, and energy; privatizing public sector companies and deregulating the labour market (lowering minimum wages, ending severance pay, making hiring and firing more flexible); and liberalizing real estate. These measures aimed to transform the state-led import substitution economies of the 1960s into export-oriented economies based on private foreign and local investment and deregularized cheap labour. ^1
In contrast, the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT, its French acronym) was founded in 1946, 10 years before Tunisiaβs independence, took part in the independence of Tunisia, and thus was afforded a certain level of autonomy. It went through periods of collaboration and antagonism with the state, with the rank and file sometimes successfully pulling it in the direction of militancy.
>This in turn guaranteed it a certain level of autonomy in the following authoritarian rule of Tunisiaβs first president Habib Bourguiba, who was reliant on the UGTT to consolidate regime legitimacy. Under Bourguiba, the union was inconsistent in its cooperation or confrontation with the regime. The 1960s saw a period of relative stability and collaboration, yet throughout the 1970s β most notably the 1978 general strike β and 1980s the union militantly opposed attempts to implement IMF-back neol

In July 2021, Jason Wright revealed that Warriors or any other name with usage of or approximate linkage to Native American imagery will not be considered. Back in July 2020, it was reported by the Washington Post that the "preferred" name of Dan Snyder was locked in a trademark battle, likely a reference to Red Wolves/Wolves.
During the Summer of 2021, a list of finalists "leaked" which contained the following names:
In August 2021, Jason Wright gave the following comments on the Pat McAfee Show regarding intentional misdirection to fans:
>βThereβs a whole lot of misdirection that needs to be done here, to not really give away where weβre going, which is the flip side of transparency. You know, you can only be so transparent to not shoot yourself in the damn foot. So, yeah, we're going to have to throw some misdirection out there"
In early September 2021, it was reported by Adam Schefter that WFT was down to THREE final names. It was also reported by Ben Standig that the rumored eight finalists above were not the actual final names. According to insiders Kevin Sheehan, JP Finlay, and Rick Snider the following things are known:

I actually struggle with this a bit, so I invite you to CMV. I struggle because I have always been a strong supporter of making gay marriage legal. Two consenting adults should have that right. But I don't feel the same way about plural marriage; consent or not I don't think it should be legal. It's possible I would feel differently if I believed that most of the people that would exercise this right would do so out of love and true consent, but I think that the majority would be cult-like organizations like the FLDS. I don't believe those women (and girls) are truly consenting. Can you truly consent to something if you've been raised believing that the only way to God is to marry your great-uncle Jimmy. It's an interesting question I guess, because we probably consent to a lot of things that maybe we wouldn't if we were raised differently.
Anyway, I get that there are some free and open adults who could consent to a healthy plural marriage, but opening that up would result in even more abuse by the many many cults that still secretly practice polygamy.
Of course there are also the tax implications, which would be tricky at best. That system would be very open to abuse.
There it is. Please CMV.

So,,, We're sorta new to knowing we're plural [but have been for at least 8 months if not our entire lives] but, we're wondering just,
why you care to know about who's the host? If you want to know for your own personal reasons and don't feel like sharing thats fine but, for everyone [even singlets, especially singlets], why ask about others?
