Did the directors force her to talk this way? I think she spoke perfectly fine In the first seasons, but now every time there is a conversation she speaks so broad and odd. Really distracting and annoying tbf, great actress but IDK why she has to talk so weird out of a sudden, you don't see the other actresses do it either.

I have no hate against her, she really is beautiful and a talented actress, but her accent, OMG, sometimes I almost thought of not watching it anymore but I did anyhow.

Aslaug was asking Lagertha to kill her. She said she renounces everything. Not just her crown. Everything. Then she starts speaking in a slow, loud, deliberate way when she says "I ask only that you give me safe passage." The safe passage is to the next life. "I ask only that you let me go peacefully to wherever the gods decide is my destiny" (ie Valhalla or hell or one of the other halls of the gods). If you let me go in this manner my sons will hear of it and they won't seek revenge ( ie if you let me live my sons and i will come back for revenge, & if you kill me violently my sons will seek revenge, but if you kill me peacefully my sons will let it go ). Lagertha answers "I understand." Aslaug walks away and slows her gait before she gets too far to be hit. When she feels the arrow, she smiles. There are tons of posts with people wondering why she smiled. When you understand that she was asking Lagertha to kill her, the smile makes sense. People are confounded that Lagertha killed her when she asked for safe passage. They don't get the scene. Lagertha was granting Aslaug's request.
