A list of puns related to "Labial"
Cacete!
Alguém me consola pff, não tô conseguindo normalizar a situação.
This post's use is for giving an introduction to Labial-Velars, an underused phonological feature, where they exist in Natlangs and how they might arise, both in those languages and maybe in the future in your Conlangs.
Labial-Velars are often only hinted at in IPA Charts like this one, here under "Affricates and Double Articulation" in the middle of the page. Unlike Affricates though, a combination of a Plosive and Fricative, Labial-Velars are a combination of two same Manners of Articulation, for example two Voiceless Plosives, as in k͡p in the Chart above, but the other usuals are g͡b (voiced) and ŋ͡m (nasal). Another one that you are most definitely familiar with, and probably stumbled over the curious placement of in most Charts you've seen or made, is w. Is it a Velar? Is it Labial? "You can place it in either column" is a notion I'm sure I've seen 100 times, and if you don't have a Labial-Velar column already, I won't tell you to add it just for it, and it won't be focused after this. Technically the fricative variants also exist, something like x͡f or ɣ͡β, but I think these are exceedingly rare.
I'm not a phonologist, and I might be entirely wrong, but in essence, try to feel what you do in your mouth when saying [kw] like at the beginning of the word question. Your mouth should be open a little bit, and probably a bit rounded. Instead, close the mouth as if you wanted to say [p] instead of rounding the lips, to produce [k͡p]. For a sound example, see Wikipedia.
Almost all occurences are either in West Africa, in Languages such as Igbo (see the Labial-Velar in the name) or Yoruba, or on Papua/New Guinea. There are some isolated occurences, for example as allophones in Vietnamese. This paper says that they are likely to simply arise from *Kw (K being a stand-in for all possibilities), but also *Pw. I mirrored this in my Conlang, having *kuV → ... → kpV (etc.). This is likely also why, as highlighted in the paper, you won't find back vowels (and especially no high back vowels) after Labial-Velars.
Sorry for the very TMI question.i know ppl gonna say it's NaTuRaL. Dude don't, because it wasn't there before.
But recently I've become so concerned. As Im a woman of color and I have dark privates but the area at the side of labia is very DARK almost black and CREASY. It wasn't like that before.
Can someone please recommend me some actual thing that's working. What should I use. Btw I have to wear a bikini 👙 set soon so that's also my concern.
Thanks ☺️
Hi! I am a 22 year old female, 5'1" and 130 pounds. I am on zoloft, zyrtec, montelukast, and levocetirizine. I mostly have issues with seasonal allergies and nothing else.
A month ago I visited my gynecologist because it looked like I had something on my labia minora. She said it was likely just a clogged vessel and would go away with a warm compress. She said that it can happen every once in a while. It eventually went away. Yesterday I woke up and my left labia (the same side that had the little cyst) was completely swollen and constantly felt like something was pinching it. It has gotten worse over the past 8 hours, and I also noticed that my left groin is very tender. My boyfriend is a paramedic and definitely ruled out a UTI, but now I'm thinking it may be GL? I don’t know but please, someone tell me what I can do to stop the swelling and relieve this pinching pain!!!
My dentist didn't tell me that my upper lip frenum was needed to be cut for crown lengthening and teeth lengthening surgery for my top teeth. Was he supposed to do that or did he do it by accident?
Does anyone have experience with this? I’ve had Crohn’s affect my labia, basically like aphthous ulcers, but this is different. I think i may have desquamative inflammatory vaginitis and found a research article that said it was an extra-intestinal manifestation of Crohn's.
I also either have cutaneous Crohn's or Hidradenitis Suppurativa on my labia majora. I’m already on Cimzia which is supposed to help since it’s a TNF blocker but it’s getting so much worse. I am likely inflamed in my gut even though I’m also on Entyvio and azathioprine. Getting a colonoscopy tomorrow.
Anyways, just liking to see if anyone else has experienced this and what they did to get them under control. I likely have to get the Crohn’s under control but my Crohn’s is unfortunately really hard to control. I’m not even sure if a gynecologist, dermatologist or GI is the person to go to for these. I’ve been to all three.
Hey, looking for some advice!
Soooo, my 17 month old daughter might have labial adhesions? She was born large, 9 pounds 5 ounces, so the ped said to keep an eye on it. He prescribed a cream and said to get it if I think it’s getting worse. We moved and I lost the prescription, so I went to a different walk in clinic (ped is always fully booked) to get the cream prescription. The Dr at the clinic tells me to take her to the ER because they’re quite stuck. Anyways, get to the ER, the resident dr takes a look and said she wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t mention it. However, they tested her urine for infection. They tried to get the sample from an in and out catheter, but apparently there was too much adhesion. So I did a clean catch and came back negative.
Today (3 months later) I wanted to check how things were down there because my daughter hasn’t been using the potty as frequently. I spread a little and she was screaming and crying in pain, it’s also quite red around her vagina.
Should I just let nature run it’s course? Or should I try to go back to the ped to get that cream prescription?
Thanks!!!
It’s been four days since the little piece of skin that connects my top lip to my gums randomly broke. I’m pretty sure it’s broken before, but I can’t even touch the outside of my mouth where it is without being in a lot of pain. My husband accidentally bumped my mouth while we were in bed and I almost cried. The internet says it’s supposed to heal itself in 3-4 days but it doesn’t feel any different. Has anyone had this happen?
I got a biopsy done on my inner labia fold. The doc cut a 3mm deep hole. No stitches. I am wondering if it’ll heal or if the hole will be there forever.
