A list of puns related to "Kriya"
I do isha kriya using my mobile phone and the youtube video and use bluetooth earphone for the voice support. Today, while doing kriya, I recieved a call in between and I got interrupted. After this, I was very angry and agitated for a long time. What should I do in this situation?
Hello everyone. Iβve been following this Reddit for a while and it helped me a great deal last year. Iβve been experiencing the presence of K. for a bit less than a year and going through a lot of emotional and energetic purge during this time. I try to keep my practices as simple as possible, concentrate on healing, and take practical responsibility for my life at the moment.
Toward the end of 2021 Iβve met a Kundalini Yoga teacher at a friendβs birthday evening. Weβve done a group meditation and a few simple exercises that day. He and I had a conversation afterwards and we quickly got along. Iβve met him a couple of times afterwards, including at one of his small group sessions that he offered to me. Last time I saw him, he shared with me a short PDF file, βIntroduction to Kundalini Yogaβ that he wrote for beginners, which briefly talks about the purpose of Kundalini Yoga and includes the list of Kria Yoga practices.
Iβve tried Nabhi Kriya and felt quite good after it. The thing is, his pamphlet also includes some quotes from Yogi Bhajan. I asked him about it and about the attitude of the Kundalini Yoga center that he is in toward Bhajan in the light of all the abuse that people suffered under his wing. He replied essentially that they try to concentrate on the practices and the teachings, not on the personality who brought them to the West, since they are much older than him.
And my question is about that. How safe is it to engage in Kriya Yoga? Is it indeed an old technique or something that was an invention of Yogi Bhajan? I would love to avoid inviting more karma or darker energy into my life if the latter is the case. Thank you in advance for clarification!
I had gone on an official trip in March 2021, when the 2nd wave was just kicking in. It was a 3 days trip and I'd travelled by train. When I got back home, I started feeling slightly feverish. I had no other symptoms. In 4 days, I developed cough, loss of taste & smell, chest pain and a lot of discomfort. I was sure I had COVID because I had most of the symptoms. My mom then started developing symptoms, and then we got tested positive for Covid-19. I was so blank. I was seeing death news everywhere and was praying for my mom's health. She was okay, but my health started getting bad. I had painful cough and breathing issues. My lungs hurt everytime I slept. I barely ate anything because I didn't feel hungry at all. Basically it was a very horrible phase. My oxygen levels slowly started dropping from 97 to 90 to 85. My whole family was extremely scared and helpless. It was everywhere. Nobody could physically help even if they wanted to. I was on my phone one day where I got a WhatsApp forward about Simha Kriya increasing Lung Health. I didn't think twice, I was just grabbing anything coming my way that could cure this pain. Simha Kriya is a breathing technique that takes about a couple of minutes only. I had energy for just that and for the rest of the time I would go back to sleep. Just Simha Kriya got me breathing fully, reduced cough and I didn't have anymore pain. I continued the practice until I completely recovered. I am so glad to have received that one message. Maybe the right energy guided me towards it.
Is there a difference? If so how big of one?
Hey everyone, I'm a total noob in a Kriya Yoga. I've just ordered a book 'Kriya Secrets Revealed' and it's arriving January 4. How can I prepare until that? Maybe I should do some specific stretches? Or breathing technique? I'm already meditating daily and do simple yoga stretches mainly for my hips. Or maybe there's a free source of information that will be similar to this book, so I can introduce myself earlier? Any tips welcome, thanks in advance!
I'm assuming most of you are householder yogis, so just out of curiosity, what does your life look like outside of your sadhana? (Occupation, hobbies, etc.)
I would consider myself an advanced-beginner to intermediate meditator (4 years of inconsistent meditation). I sincerely desire to learn Kriya yoga in the fullest sense. Not merely one meditation but how to incorporate it into my daily life. However, I cannot seem to find a good source for this information. There is much information on the internet but a lot is incomplete and does not present evidence for the authenticity of the teaching. There is also the concept of initiation in Kriya yoga. Is there a way to receive this initiation without direct contact with a guru? Is it necessary at all? I get that there might not be a βbestβ source but what would you all recommend? Thank you and many blessings.
Hi there. I completed Isha Kriya for a 48 day mandala (twice a day) and am still doing this meditation from the Sadhguru app. Is there a meditation that Sadhguru recommends to be done next?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to your response back.
Have a great day and wonderful New Year β¨ππ½β¨.
I know it is recommended to get Kriya from a guru and most people do not advise following books or online courses. I live north of Atlanta, have not found any guru. Is there any book or course I can use to get Kriya instead of guru?
Is it ok if i recommend kriya to everyone and popularise it.or should i gate keep it and not utter a word to any people.on the one hand there are lot of people with mental illness that can be cured but on the other hand like swami nityananda said kriya is a diamond and i should keep quite and do not sell this diamond for cheap in the market.there are people who are not so serious who will bastardise it.to get kriya u need to work to get it or u will not understand its value. i cannot decide whether to popularise kriya or keep it a secret.
I do not mean to reveal the technique.i mean that when people say i have so and so problem , i say go practice kriya under a guru etc
I want an honest answer.if your opinion is controvorsial, and u want to be politicaly correct then dm me instead of posting here.i do not want politically correct answer but want a real answer
I'm considering learning it from a local Isha teacher. She recommended learning it first. Just curious to hear what y'all think. Thanks.
Hi there! I want a physical guru/teacher to guide me through Kriya, but I can't get initiated at the moment. I have Kriya Secrets Revealed, so would it be advisable to kind of start trying the techniques found in there, or could that actually mess me up? I meditate daily already and I'm fine with just sticking to that for now, but I would love to get a head start of sorts if I could. I'm hoping to get initiated this summer. Thanks in advance !
Hello everyone, namaskar, this is Kartik, age 17, M.
I came across Sadhguru's YouTube videos somewhere around in March, loved his intellect, knowledge and humor and watched a few more videos. Since, then I've been obsessed with Sadhguru.
I then came across Inner Engineering and its benefits and reviews and really wanted to try it out. But, as I tried to register for it, the fee was 2400Rs. as I recall. Being 16, and living in a religious, non spiritual family who is struggling with money, this was just tooo much that I could ask for.
I then went on a google search spree to find the course anywhere across all of internet and finally found a source on Telegram, I watched all 7 of those videos, with devotion, drew many many conclusions from it and truly it was a life changing experience. Then, I don't know why but YouTube recommended me one of the videos 'Is receiving Shambhavi Mahamudra online as impactful as in person?', then found out about the practice and how it is done only online and I cannot learn it from anywhere else (of course except locally) and that it is not free.
Now, I looked up for the registration fee and it was about 5000Rs. (2.5k+2.5k for IE), was unable to afford 2500Rs, let alone 2500 more. I even contacted the team via emails to know if there exists some age policy or perhaps if the course could be provided at a lower cost, but was disappointed.
I cannot afford the registration fee, and really really want to get initiated into the kriya.
What should I do now? Can anyone please give me some advice and/or help me out? Please.
Hi. I just found out about this SKY breathing method. Can someone kindly explain it to me? I want to try it but I've read that people should not try to do it on their own and needs a yoga teacher before doing it. May I know why exactly? Is there any way I can do it on my own? Thank you!
Hello everyone, recently my grandmother died and we're restricted to go to any temple for 1 year as you might know if you're a hindu. I don't know if i should do kriya as it is worshipping/recalling god in a way
This will soon be added to the wiki for which I feel very proud but also humbled that the other mods think it is good enough for inclusion. Anyway, after promising for a few years now - my take on kriyas !
A multi lane highway, viewed throught the rear window. Looking backwards. All your shit is there, reflected in your eyes, the sounds and everything fookin else. EVERYTHING. Well, everthing you think you are anyway. Like anchors weighing you down - thrown out with no discernible conenction but weighing you down nevertheless. Dominated by sight you accept reality. Yet it is all a refelction, your past. History. It cannot be changed, a fixed window we call reality. Change is only by looking forward, and few care to go there. K shows you the ties, pulls in the anchors, clears your karma. Balance stops you veering off the highway to unknown destinations, red pill blue pill are the intersections - major life changes. A 90 degree turn takes a bit of straightening out but you remain on the road. Veering off and keepin veerin causes untold consequences, sometimes you hit a roundabout or keep loopin in the same spot gradually moving further from everyone else's reality. You start meetin other realities behind you - and strange shit happens cos your reality aint their reality. Psychics move forwards a little - that's behind you, where you future lies. Some have more control than others, focus is key. Shamans walk these paths, among others. But what's behind you is exactly that, behind you and all part of the illusion. For as you turn to look forwards as you speed down the highway on your future path, well that ain't you either. Welcome to the centre. Oh, and them anchors holding you back i mentioned - well theirs some out front too- and in every other direction.
Change lanes - left or right, up or down, choices - free will. Keep to the centre and get a smooth ride. Veer off for an exciting time. Take a shortcut, hope it works out and you don't jump too far off track, or onto another highway goin off somewhere thats not remotely close to your path. Some never find a way back from those. K reels in those anchors, but some are fookin huge and cause a lot of turbulence as you veer off course to compensate. Others are far off, and causes those deep aches that are worse than the sharpness of close pain. Those fookers are the old stuff, lineage stuff. Past life karma. Reeling those in is that parachute that's just pullin back slowly but inexorably. When the

Hi, I have been doing Isha Kriya for 7 days straight (15 total because sadly I had a break) and I believe it has been really beneficial to me. However I have started feeling a little at timea scared, like I am about to stop being on control of my body (this happened after the practice, not during it). I know it sounds silly but the closest thing I can compare it to is the plot from the movie "get out". Is this normal? Because I am still motivated to do Isha Kriya, I just don't want to do it the wrong way.

Hey, I was wondering how can I get initiated by shailendra sharma. I got to know about him thru this subreddit, thanks.
I'm a huge overthinker unfortunately and sometimes when doing Isha Kriya, in the middle of the practice I kinda forget that I'm doing it and I'm doing it automatically and not consciously. Even though I'm thinking "I'm not the body, I'm not even the mind", in between I still get lost in my thoughts.
I have done this practice for like a month but during this time I have skipped like two or three days. It's not that I don't trust this practice, I just think I'm doing it inefficiently and I haven't really felt any much changes. One thing I felt though which probably a benefit from this kriya, is that before I make any compulsive decision, I will notice it much quicker before I take action and I am more conscious of bad decisions.
I feel like I should maybe just practice awareness meditation instead, like on the breath or something because my mind is so overactive all the time.. Do I just continue the kriya or what I do? Thank you!
Hi All, I am currently in India for a few weeks and am looking for an authentic Kriya Teacher who is enlightened himself yet not pompous or after fame or money ... Any suggestions?
Namaskaram
12.5% there.
I'm a little pressed for time today so I'll keep this post short.
I got a glimpse of the potency of Surya Kriya today. I won't even attempt to put it into words, but there was a palpable upsurge of energy while holding Urdhvasana in rounds 1 & 2 of Surya Kriya today. To a point, where it almost knocked me off balance. My reverence towards Surya Kriya grows day by day.
Days 1 through 4 - Journey till now
