Kiki's Delivery Service Puns

In Kiki's delivery service Kiki stops being able to hear Jiji talk after suffering what appears to be burnout. She no longer is able to hear Jiji talk even after regaining her ability to fly. Miyazaki has answered why this is saying that she no longer needs it as she has grown up.

My theory is that Kiki, and other witchs, externalize their internal monologue onto their partnered cats. When she no long needs that part of her personality it is no longer externalized onto Jiji. So hearing Jiji was never actually Jiji's thoughts or feelings but rather Kiki's. This also explains why Jiji doesn't just stop speaking but also starts acting like an ordinary cat. Jiji didn't just talk to Kiki he also acted more like a human before stopped projecting on him.

Kiki is always listening to Radio, I feel like I want to listen to some radio which sounds like her station?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a radio station which sounds like that? :-)

I m in the UK, but internet radio is a thing, So, any suggestion I will try to get it on the internet.

So I recently found out that My Neighbor Totoro takes place during the mid to late 50s. I read the novel and it said it takes place in 1955, but most sources say 1958. And some sources say that Kiki’s Delivery Service takes place somewhere between the 50s, but the clothes look modern to me. Am I missing something? Thank you.

Why does jiji need to stop talking at the end of the movie?

that is the point, it was such a sweet and heartwarming ending, but that broke my heart
